Do not buy this device without them activating it at the point of sale. You will end up with just regular router with regular SIM card. Right now, MTN is trying to see if they can remotely activate the ODU service on the SIM card. Outside of that, I will have to return it to the point of purchase

This is my personal experience though

Inserting the SIM in the ODU automatically activates the ODU welcome bonus and you'll receive a notification SMS for that. As a matter of fact, I found out there are two bonuses: the ODU unlimited welcome bonus and 120GB data bonus. I've explained how to activate the former; for the latter, send 5GCPE to 323. If you don't receive the former, then I don't know to resolve that.

The power pack is somehow useless because it can't fully power the device on its own. If you try to use the power bank alone, you'll likely experience reboots or connection problems. The solution is simple: just plug in the device with the power adapter as well.

if you say that. Meanwhile I haven't experienced the reboot yet. However, I am yet to get the activation bonus. Although I inserted the SIM it came with inside a phone first to confirm the registration (call the number for a few seconds).

I don't know if that's the problem

I can bet anything , this guy did not buy any mtn ODU , all posted picture are internet lifted picture
People should go to Airtel ODU page and see real picture taking at home with the ODU , u will see normal home things in the picture like tv, socket extension, , general things you find at home , not this generic internet picture

I bought it in Lagos and first images were the ones I was sent. I just received it this evening.

First thing,it doesn't come with data and MTN customer service doesn't know why. I called 300 and the call was transferred to 217(they actually called me back). The agent I spoke with said he doesn't have any idea if it actually comes with data. I subscribed to one week data to test it and I got 100% bonus.

I mean, It's more cost-effective to just buy the device outright at 30k, and still benefit from the generous 100Mbps unlimited bonus.

We're currently waiting for the crane that will help raise these channels. Ordinarily we can manually raise those channels but not these ones. They're huge.

You might castigate the moniepoint CEO for saying that Nigerian graduates are subpar until you deal with these people and realize he's not far from the truth.

These people are working for a company and they barely know the services rendered by the same company

those agents are the only ones who have access to it. Many MTN stores don't even know that it exists especially their front desk officers. I had someone check out their regional branch at Asaba today and the women don't even know what he was asking for.

Some will go as far as telling you that the product doesn't exist. I called the customer service today and the agent didn't even know what I was talking about. I had to give her specifics on the codes to dial and where to search. She had to transfer my call to their 217 agent who informed me that I shouldn't bother searching for it in stores. She promised to have an agent reach out to me to get it for me

You will find this thing tire. You can only get it through an invite system. Their agents will be the ones who will tell you about it and give you the device to test run.

If you mean acquire it, then I don't know of any mtn shop it's available. When I enquired on Monday, it wasn't available at the northern regional head office in Abuja.

I'm to see if I can get it at Falomo Lagos tomorrow. Sending someone so it's fingers crossed. He went there today but they said store keeper wasn't around to confirm if it's in stock or not
