tbaba1234: Ndidi's injury might be a blessing because the man has been overworked this season. Getting a few weeks of rest might be what is needed to have him in the best possible shape. that is not true. he is not 'resting' he is out, he doesn't train either so he will not be fit. Have you ever used crutches for 4-6 weeks straight? When you come back you will hardly know how to walk never mind playing football to your normal level. We all should start getting accustomed to the possibility of Ndidi not being fit for the first game. For an injury you have the minimum and maximum duration, the minimum as we know is four weeks but for someone who has not been injured all season long his body system may not be able to adjust to the injury within that minimum usually the maximum tends to be the eventual duration. For emphasis when you break your hand the first time the pain will be unbearable and it will take a longer time to heal but if it happens a second time it would be way easier |

Icon4s: As I said before, that is why we have age grade competitions.
Salisu Yusuf is the coach of the U23 team. Let Osimhen and K. Nwakali make themselves available for selection.
Uzoho's case is different cos he is a goal keeper and we find ourselves in a dire situation in that department. For what reason will you send a special trainer to Osimhen or Nwakali. Oga that does not count here.
You mentioned having a system where a country will have a large pool of young players to select from. You cannot achieve that by picking one or two players saying they are special talents and sending special trainers to them. You can only achieve that kind of system by ensuring all your young talents are actively involved in your youth programs. From U17, U20 to U21/23.
I still insist we need a standing U21 team. That is where we can pick from a large pool of players who are to be promoted to the senior team. I am not sure that there is anything I can add here at all. theGoodJoe keeps on saying we should do more, so does that mean we should be sending special coaches to every Chrisantus, Sani Emmanuel and Okoro that shines in the U17 world cup? the thing is that even if you start sending them these coaches some of them still won't make it not to mention the financial constraint involved. How many coaches you go hire? He keeps saying this thing but I am not exactly sure I understand his point |

It’s very unlikely Stoke will not be relegated. But you are free to look at the table and prove me wrong mathematically, then I will accept here is the mathematics. And that Liverpool was after him to come solve their goalkeeping problems. Martz101: when you discard players doing well in club like juventus and psg it shows level of hypocritic analysis, because Bayern is also having it all smooth in there league,
You ask what business those alaba has with Lahm playing RB, that shows you dont even really know Lahm as a player, he played most of his games in the LB position then Willy sagnol occupied that RB position, when Alaba came on board and sagnol retired, Lahm went back to his prefered RB position.
And yes when I talk about assist, is not just to messi, Alves having the second assist history in laliga just behind Lionel Messi, so he dish out assist not just to one player.
You lied again when you said Alves never did well in the midfield in the el classico 2010 in April he played there and Barcelona won in bernebeu..he also played there with Brazil.
In every sector there a body to validate the best, Oscar for movies, Grammy for music, Fifa for football, if he can be in the right back spot 7 times since 9 years ago that means Fifa is in line with me. you are just showing limited knowledge. first off, Lahm was never a stop gap option at LB, when he went on loan to Stuttgart he was converted to a LB and he became the best LB in the German league easily. played many many games as a LB for Germany as a LB too, and since Sagnol wasn't exactly terrible he was left there. Not that he was forced into the LB role, he was awesome there. He did well not only for Bayern but also for Germany so there you go Alves isn't even in the top three all time LA liga assists not sure where you read that exactly. in 2010 Alves never played in midfield, he played as a winger and that was a ploy to keep Rinaldo quiet on the day, I watched that match very well. as a winger he was poor and the ball hardly went his side anyways but he did track Ronaldo very very well helping out Maxwell |

Martz101: Your wright up make me laugh, so you didn't watch Alves in italy with juventus or you choose not to see him even when he featured in the champions league final.
Alves has been consistent since his sevilla days and was highly sort after and even won trophies for sevilla, move to Barca and was one of the best players there.
You said my argument has nothing to do with his assist, really? so we should take that out??...beating iniesta and xavi to that ain't easy my brother.
You talk about Lahm playing in the midfield, if you really know Alves you will know he plays in the midfield too.
You analysis of bayern recruiting a left back and Lahm dropping to back three make me understand how less you know about Lahm, when alaba came in he went back to RB which was his prefered position until PEP came and move him sometime to the midfield.
Lahm is a good RB but not compare to Alves, Alves has appeared in all FIFPPRO world 11 since 2009 except 2010 and 2011 and Lahm only appeared once, that should sum the argument.
NOTE: Alves is the most decorated footballer ever. My bad for missing out on the Juve days, my bad really. So that's Ligue 1 and Italian league, oh Juve have won the last 5 Scudettos if I am not mistaking, that sums that league up too. Lahm did play in how many champions league finals?i can count three so I think he did very well too. What business does Alaba and Lahm playing at RB have together? Lahm has always been at RB, seems you dodn't get the point. Bayern play a 4-3-3, in 2012 during the total football era they usually drafted into a 3-4-3, which means one of the fullbacks drops into a conventional 3 man backline and Lahm was usually the one dropping back(just like Abidal used to do at Barca) and Alaba was allowed to push forward and what do you know, Alaba scored loads of goals for a defender, probably what Lahm would have done if he was allowed to attack. When you talk about assists to Messi I am left wondering if you think Lahm should have more assists to Messi or something. Azpilicueta has more assists to Moratta I believe, who cares? Being a midfielder(a DMF, the most important there is) and playing as a fullback in a psuedo 4-3-3/3-4-3 formation is another thing. Alves has never played as a true midfielder and the only time he did, I think against Hercules some years ago he failed, when he played as a WF too he failed woefully, versatility isn't his thing at all. Has Godin ever appeared in the FiFPro? That's all I can ask you. |

Probably if you follow my comments you'd know I have no business with the Epl. When Maxwell won the Champions League how many games did he play? You are looking down on Ligue1 ,I know you will be an Epl fan boy,how many balon d or winners has the Epl produced that is considered as a great league produced? But you guys are quick to insult Ligue1 and others league.
Oga league is league, maxwell also won laliga and champions league
It's obvious you are against someone here. so how many semifinalists in this Ucl or any Ucl for that matter came from the Ligue 1? Atleast teams from the Brazilian league constantly win their own champions league which shows that the league is relatively strong all things considered. How many Balon D'Or winners are from the Ligue 1? Probably zero. From time the Ligue 1 has always been a farmers' league, at first it was Lyon dominating the league then Psg took over, all you need do is sign for the team at the top then and you can instantly count 4 league trophies for yourself depending on the length of your contract. |

andrew444: I said he didnt win the copa libertadoes thats what they call it,its for all south america club just like the caf champions league and uefa, but i have checked it now okay and i made a mistake he won it twice.
And mind you not only league winners qualify for that cup also the 2 team in the table.
I am not arguing against pele i am saying daniel alves is the most decorated player take it or leave it,i dont know why people dont want to hear that, check daniel alves cabinet then you will believe me,he won more trophies than pele, even messi won trophy than pele, pele can taunt them with his 3 world cup but they dont care you can as well check again, he won his league many times I believe, something Paulista I think, that was the league he was playing in then. so you will count Ligue 1 as a trophy when Pele starts talking about world cups and intercontinental cups? Ok Maxwell is the most decorated player in the world, I guess that makes him the best LB in the world. |

Pele that won the world cup did he win the brazil league? He did not even win the copa libertadoes which is just like their champions league in south america, pele is used to winning highest goal scorer world cup of that year wey afcon better pass.
So person must win world cup to be the most decorated player? decorated player is the player with most trophy in football not by winning the world cup so dont get me wrong, some player are dying to win the champions league how can you be uttering such fallacies? Pele won the Copa Libertadores, I think more than once and won countless league trophies, back then Brazil had a lot of local league as against one general league that they have now. He even won an intercontinental cup and defended it like four times or so, how would he qualify for an inter cup if he didn't win the champions league in his own continent? And how would he qualify for the champions league of his own continent if he didn't win the league in his own country? |

Martz101: what has lahm got to do with this,Lahm ain't better than Alves, Lahm stayed in his comfort zone all through, Alves moved to different leagues and was efficient...his been ever present in UEFA 11.
DO YOU KNOW, Alves has the highest assist for messi in laliga, ahead of iniesta and xavi comfort zone? Let's explore this very well then. Alves has only played in Spain and France, I mean no offence but is the Ligue 1 truly a league? It would be a comfort zone for any player, just ask Memphis Depay. So let's say the only tough job was in Spain. Then for Brazil what has he achieved in international football? 4th place without even featuring prominently. Now we go to Lahm, I don't need to talk about his records in Germany, you can google them. Then for the German team I am sure he has made the semifinal of every major tournament he has played in since making his debut. Not to mention that he did leave his comfort zone to play as a DMF and was still outstanding in that position, so it's funny that you should use the 'comfort zone' against him. I am not sure this argument has anything to do with his assists for Messi. At Barca he plays almost as a wingback and Busquets covers perfectly for him. At Bayern though Lahm hasn't had it well enough, they also recruit attack minded LBs like Alaba for example forcing Lahm to always drop into a back three to allow the LB attack and even in Germany he does the same, I am not sure you expect him to be giving assists from there like that. |

over the years Ronaldo has been scoring against ATM not because he knows how to dribble( he lost that years ago) but because he knows how to exploit spaces. You dare not come to beat Atleti players one on one, that's time wasting, you keep it simple until a channel opens up. if you try to dribble them that's your death, one turn over and a quick counter and that's a goals. like you rightly pointed it, Welbeck was disposed for a goal, now just imagine if Iwobi was there and he tried like six times, trust me Arsenal would have conceded more than once |
