Joebie: Siasia said long ago.. and i've nogticed it too. top top fan of Siasia but Manu also said Iheanacho is better suited as an AMF, well practically he has performed better as a striker or at least a SS than an AMF. its best we play them where their foreign coaches are playing them |

Joebie: We have Iwobi and Mikel.. but if Rohr looks Alukos way, good for him.. but he'll have Iwobi to battle with. How about that?
Modified Competition is always a good thing.. maybe when Mikel retires.. Aluko will not be too old for Qatar have you actually seen Iwobi performing very well as an AMF? or is that just an assumption you made? Same assumption was made regarding Iheanacho and the rest is history |

tbaba1234: I love Aluko but he is no iniesta.. He has not had a great season by his standards. I never said he is Iniesta, just pointing out that scoring goals isn't exactly everything for a midfielder. Even if he is having an average season by his standards, I am sure having him in the team is better than not having any AMF in the team which is the current situation |

Goke7: what you guys are failing to understand is that this is a new generation super eagle who plays differently from the team we had few years back, the baloguns, ekongs, ndidi, iwobi, iheanacho and co have brought in a new dimesion that only experienced players like moses and mikel has been able to cope because of the depth of their personal talent. Musa is struggling to gel with these players, Echejielle too, even omeruo. This is why a joel obi can't gel or a martins or even aluko. They will struggle and struggle with players like Ndidi I saw displaying some great skills tonight.
There is a shift in the current SE set up and you can't have old wine in new bottles, mhen it will burst you seriously think Moses is more talented than Joel? Bar injury, Joel would have been in a top top club playing his favourite position. Moses was a bench warmer until he got drafted into another position |

MetalJigsaw: Just imagine!! If Joel can have a bad day twice in a row when he fully know that he was invites to prove himself, then he's not good enough. against Poland Joel was one of the better players, way way better than Iheanacho and Shehu, the team was bad. then he was played as an AMF today and of course he didn't give his best because he isn't an AMF |

edi287: CBs cover for fullbacks occasionally. The DM can slot in and form a 3 while both full backs bomb forward. thank you for that word occasionally. when the fullbacks bomb forward then of course you change to a back three and the CBs need to cover, but when the fullbacks are in a defensive shape what business does the CB have with the wingers except they are very close to the box? |

tbaba1234: The Dm covers for everyone.
He covers when the CB is drawn out and can also cover for a full back.
Inevitably, CBs get drawn out,.. It is normal CBs are not meant to be drawn out except maybe during counter attacks. But when you are defending full time there is absolutely no reason for you to be there, what if you push out and they cross the ball creating an overload? |

tbaba1234: The CB covers for the FB when he is out of position.. That is normal. You can not stay in the middle when your full back is out of position.
The most important thing in defending is maintaining the overall shape. Covering your full backs is a normal role for a centre back. why then do you have a DMF? |

No 1 game changer-Mikel Obi No 2 game changer- Victor Moses No 3 could be Joel Obi if he is allowed to attack more stop giving unnecessary credit. Keshi changed Mikel to a game changer. Moses too was a game changer then, even Omeruo and Echejile he made them game changers. I am not trying to downplay Rohr's inputs but credit to where it is due |

realpoacher: You know that if I didn't watch the match, I would have actually believed you. But thank God for stats and records.
You say not a good performance and he caught only one shot, but www.flashscore.com is saying otherwise
Or were they back pass that he saved
When I say they are haters of this present SE on this thread, some peeps don't believe me. Some say they are not haters but critics. And I wonder what type of critics see "white" and call it "black"
Yesterday they were 6 shots on goal and Uzoho saved them all
SMH I now totally believe that you have a chronic illness of the brain, a seriously serious one. Are we talking about all shots on target? He said 'better' chances, emphasis on the word 'better' and I pointed out the three 'better' chances the Poles created and what happened to all of them, that should really not be difficult for someone who is intelligent to grab |

ChrisKels: Some people argue that Poland created plenty and better chances, but at the same time, same people say Uzoho wasn't tested enough. So my question is, if Uzoho didn't deal with with the chances created by the Poles where then did the chances go? Abi him dealing with the super created chances of the Poles no be passing a test? One hit the bar, one was actually a goal and then he saved one, not exactly a good performance from someone who y'all want to believe is half as good as Enyeama was at his age. I am all for youth and stuff but only when the young ones are good enough |

M7even: do u now believe FIFA rankings. please to hell with FIFA ranking. we are way better. just some one or two quick fix will put us ahead Baba, this is how European teams always play against African teams. They let you run but they beat you cleanly. For all our 'perceived' dominance we could have been 2 goals down with absolutely zero shot on target. Relax, they are better than us, not 6th best in the World sha |

gbosaa: Lots of running from the Eagles and initial gra gra. They have marked the Poles well but haven’t done with with the ball when they get possession. The Poles have been more threatening. They hit the bar, their no 10 would’ve scored from the free kick that flew across the post, the controversial clearance from Balogun...Uzoho was very awkward there. Shehu need to compose himself, passing the ball behind Moses and he nearly committed the same foul that gifted Algeria the penalty kick in Algiers. It’ll be a very good draw if Nigeria can prevent them from scoring in the second half. The Poles are good and comfortable with the ball when under pressure. Potentially we can win this game. We just need players who can hold the ball instead of trying to play tiki taca. The poles aren't even pressing so well, this is a polish team that made ZERO impact at the Euros |

Joel is a baller by the way and Kelechi should be allowed to take set-pieces.. which game? They have hit the bar, scored a goal and could have been 2 up while we have had ZERO shot on target. We have been running around I will give that to us |

safarigirl: no be only Aluko, na Akuko
Abeg, we are done testing... Before dem say na Joel Obi, now the Joel don come, na Aluko you dey find. If it is only Mikel we will have to do that job, we will manage him like that mbok. E no dey easy to injure Mikel, he go survive through 8 matches at most Na Joel una wan blame now? What is Joel's style of play? Is he the type of player that will hold the ball and slow it down when our team is suffering? Is that why he was brought in? Joel has been way better than Ndidi as a matter of fact and both have done their work well. Why didn't we put in a ball holder in there? If Ighalo keeps Iheanacho on the bench then he should stay there, put in Ogu and let him be that ball holder. However maybe the coach has a secondary plan, second half now |

The passes and transition from Defence to Attack is damn poor. Also it's very Clear that Uzoho ain't the Messiah we are looking for! we are watching the same match. Factually only Balogun and Ndidi/Joel(both don dey fade sha) came for this match. To make matters worse we have covered a lot of KM, fatigue will be a factor in favour of the Poles come the second half |

Oasis007: Yes..... I will. We are parading the youngest Team at the moment, and once they fully gel together - they would be unstoppable.
I'm convinced with the Unity and Spirit in the Team. They are more like Brothers, they genuinely love each other, and Rohr is more than a Coach to them, he's also a Mentor to some. are we hiring a mentor or are we hiring a coach that will make the team gel and perform well? One question, it was Siasia that actually started this 'catch them young' campaign, he introduced Iwobi and Iheanacho and Shehu and Ekong etc etc, when he failed to qualify us for the Afcon did you back him? |

Oasis007: The Lineup, if true, is fantastic. It's really a good Call by Rohr and his Crew. We do not need to play as Underdog, rather let's show the World what this Team is capable of.
Eagles were known for entertaining, dazzling Football internationally, and I am so much believing this Team gonna be exciting to watch on the Pitch.
Rohr's Contract should be extended till 2023, coz it's damn apparent he's building a formidable Team for the Country in the Future. I'm kinda believing Rohr is simply building a very solid and superb Team for the Future - catch them young Tactic.
Whatever happens tonight matters not, also whatever happens at the Mundial shouldn't be taken to the Heart. We should all believe in the Rohr's Project for the Eagles, coz with him in charge till 2023...... we may possibly win it in Qatar! quick question. if we have an abysmal world cup and exit at the group stage and then fail to qualify for the nations cup would you still subscribe to this vision 2023? |
