I’m a graduate of Mechanical Engineering but wish to do masters in Data Science or any other field but I don’t know how possible it is. Please I need information if I can apply to data science even when my previous degree is not among the required courses.

2. Most schools I ve seen uses uni assist.. please can some someone help me with schools that doesn’t use uni assist.

3. How long does it take to get admission letter.

Most schools Uni-assist, so get used to it.

Data science or any IT related course is super competitive and even harder to gain admission for someone who doesn't have a BSc. in IT or related fields (Electrical Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Informatics etc)

can you gain admission into Data Science? Sure but odds are against you

Apply for MSc in Mech Engr field (in less popular towns), If you want to secure admission without stress.

For the winter semester, you'll get admission letter between July and Septembbr. Academics usually start Oct 1.

University of Würzburg said certification should be done at the embassy...But the embassy were not issuing certification appointment as at 2weeks ago...I had to certify at a federal high court,last week and post..
It arrives Germany today...Should I give up already because I sent them countless mail on why i can't certify at the embassy, they only replied 5days later with "check previous mail"

I am very tensed now, please what do you guys think..

Next time, when the embassy is not available use a public notary, that the closest you'll get to the embassy certification and is also acceptable

Come off with this mindset, no country survives without immigrants. Who is going to do those jobs citizens don't want to do? Menial jobs, construction, Nursing & even programming jobs, Going to study in Germany shows that you are actually impacting their country with Skill & knowledge, Immigrants work their ass off & also pay 40% or more taxes to their country. We work like rugrats, 60 hours per week for some just to earn a living & pay their taxes.

My point is: They need us as much as we need them. 50/50.

The one you do at a high court is called Certification not Notarization and it is maximum of 100 naira per page.

If u re a true student I don’t think u will reason this way. Do u considered the fact that u might not get AD this year especially if u fall under Cat. B.

Maybe u can afford enrollment, but what about those who can’t afford it, don’t advise people to take risk just because u did. Admission letter is more than enough to appeal for a visa and it can always be deferred with most school.

Semester contribution is a small financial risk. If you don't get student visa to go to Germany, you can always ask for a refund.

If you don't get a refund, it's better than regretting when people on here begin to get AD and AM.

People take far dangerous and costly risk crossing the Mediterranean.

And also, are you an engineering applicant?

Talk a lot during the Interview, lace your talk with hard facts, be expressive and explain your points, smile, talk loud. Don't be late to the zoom Interview! A guy was denied an interview because he was late.

Because you'll make a photocopy.

The Photocopy is what you certify.

Although you could use original documents, Uni Assist is against accepting original documents

Or must I certify them with the German consulate this time for enrollment?

Congratulations on your admission to TUM.

Public Notaries are expensive ( N 2,000 per document) and TUM has specifications for how they want your document be notarized.

Using the German consulate is your safest bet. It's free and they do it exactly the way TUM wants.

Don’t make excuses for a ‘CONSULATE’! They’re the government,they have people who would think and clear out the nuisance’s wasting the AD’s! They can start requesting for additional infos etc before giving out dates!

My concern is the way they’re neglecting the students without ANY reasonable explanation! If they put it on their website right now say hey,we don’t want you students in germany,some of you get to germany and don’t attend classes bla bla, So we’ve put a peg on student visas for now! Students don’t have a choice but move their study ambitions to another country! But they’re not giving any reasons at all for months even before covid! Just like USA wasn’t giving interview dates to Nigerians some times ago (Trump’s unwritten instructions - let dem africans rot) then they opened up dates then went on a visa denying spray!

There’s nothing wrong if student’s here wants to stage a very non-aggressive,Low crowd,what’s going on,look into our situation kind of protest in front of the embassy! They’d do something! Good luck to you guys!

Bro, please pen down a detailed info.

Most of the bankers i have approached seem to not know what Form A is.

One of the banks (FCMB) said, if the account doesn't have the school logo on it, they would not process it.

What did you tell them you want to do?
What documents did you take along?
Did Fintiba logo at the top of the doc affect anything?


sorry for too many questions, i'm just amazed how you were able to did it with Form A.

I walked that path. It can be accepted by some schools but they will ask you to send the official transcript for enrollment. Uniassist however will reject it and they will ask you to upload the official transcript before your application will be reviewed which you have to do within the application deadline of the schools you are applying for, so I will encourage you to use the official transcript for all applications with Uniassist.

I applied with the certified copy of my "student" Transcript via Uni-Assist and it was accepted.

As long as the Student Transcript has a signature and the stamp of the issuing Institution, it will be accepted.
