I was on that road earlier today and I can confirm that, traffic was already building as at around 7 when I was there.
I left onitsha 5am on the dot and I got to berger, Lagos by 12noon.
From what I can confirm, the reason for the traffic IS the mad rush by everyone and everybody, switching lanes indiscriminately in the hope to getting to the east "shortly"
At the end, "they are all stuck" |

dasparrow: So, in the advanced world where everyone uses a washing machine to wash clothes, they are lazy? Do you know how strenuous it is to wash clothes with the hands? Do you know washing clothes with the hands causes back ache? Why are most Nigerians sufferhead? Its like you people love a life of suffering and putting others through a life of suffering even when it is not necessary. We are in 2015 going into 2016 in a few days. If Nigeria were to be an advanced rich country, her citizens ought not to be washing clothes with their hands in this day and age.
This is why many young Nigerian women have hands that look like they belong to an 80 year old grandma. Its all that washing of clothes with the hands that is the cause. All that harsh washing detergent is making their hands look hard and wrinkly. Please do the right thing and purchase a washing machine if you can afford it. Your wife is not a glorified house maid. Try and pamper her so that she won't start looking older than you in a few years after marriage and then you will come back to Nairaland to create a thread and ask why wives look older than their husbands after 10 - 15 years of marriage. Be blessed Bro. Be very blessed |

Gbawe: From your pictures, I am at least 30 years younger than you so if I am "old" then you must be ancient. As per the other point you raise, I think it is obvious, from the many times your opinions have been discredited and disgraced, that you don't know what you are talking about. You are always sentimental and delusional. Keep watching as APC ruthlessly claim the Senate Presidency and DSP position.
Senators have no immunity. How easy would it be to take down brazen crooks like Theodore Orji, Kashamu or Akpabio under a President who will see a fight to the end unlike the cowardly and cowering GEJ? If it were Governors, immune from prosecution, then different. Once the tacit message is sent out that "mess around and be dealt with" then we will see how many of our self-serving and cowardly legislators, whether APC or PDP, will be willing to put their comfortable four year mandate on the line to fight PMB and the APC. Which of our self-serving politicians will want to lose it all 4 months after gaining office? Bros forget the IGG (initial gra gra) . Nigerian politician are the easiest, because they are very greedy and self-serving, to whip in line once sh1t gets real. You can see the power of prosecution below to note that these guys thought it was the 'business as usual' they enjoyed under GEJ. Now they see Buhari will take it all the way they are falling in line.

There's nothing wrong with Honda. The joint pull is as a result of neglect on the part of the owner. Most people have unrealistic expectations from various cars. Honda is Honda. Toyota is Toyota. Benz is Benz and they mustn't be compared.
Honda is a sweet car and I am on my 5th Honda now. Cheers |

harveyspec: They haven't been making deductions, it wasn't even stated in my terms of employment
Yes, I'm willing, now that they want to start, I don't mind paying 16% (8% for the present & 8% for the arrears)
but you know the issue is threat of being sacked!!! Before the reformed pension act 2014, the contributory scheme is 7.5% from employee and employer making 15%. From what I have seen around, most people wait till they leave the company before they demand for their pension arrears. In that case, issue of victimisation won't come up. |

harveyspec: I have been working with my present firm since 2013 & there hasn't been any pension scheme, now the company wants to start
Am I entitled to ask for arrears?(the 10%, that the company ought to have been contributing since the date of my employment)
Can I write a petition to Pencom?
CC:realwvn It might be a lil difficult if your company hasn't been deducting from your salary since 2013. Can you confirm if your company had deducted pension contributions from your salary? If your company had deducted, you can write Pencom, your arrears would be paid and infact, Interest Penalty would also be paid. Would you be willing to pay your own part of the arrears of 8% assuming your company hasn't been deducting from your salary since 2013? |
