This election is no longer about Ambode's political career, it has become a supremacy battle between the 'powers that be'. Each side is viewing this as an opportunity to set the record of supremacy straight.... Considering the powers that both side wields, it will be difficult to tell how it will play out but one thing is certain, this little complicated conflict is just a beginning to a major battle..
You are thinking!

I wonder why others are not viewing this angle.

Ambode's defeat is only a first half victory for JAGABAN. The second half is when the game get started gangan.

Buhari will still go against JAGABAN after 2019 election.

Most commenters here don't think in that direction.

Though I would have preferred Ambode to Sanwoolu, just because I want Tinubu's power, over who governs Lagos to stop, but from the results so far, it's a sorry case for Ambode.

These lagos APC members are just Tinubu's a.ss lickers undecided

That man's jazz is out of this world
So you expect Ambode to win?

This is first half grin

Wait patiently for second half.

What battle of pride? What yeye pride?

What's the point in going into a battle where your defeat is assured?

The worst he can do is to decamp. And he dares not do it while he still remains an APC governor in Lagos state as he will be promptly impeached the moment he romances PDP or any other party. He may even be impeached even if he remains in APC for his stubbornness especially for character assassination of Sanwo-Olu.
I'm an independent man and I think for myself. That I can't say about you.

Ambode should stop fighting a lost battle. I like him and wished the party elders had forgiven and supported him but as it stand, he cannot win without the people he's fighting.
That's not the main the point, Man.

It is more than that.

The battle between Ambode and TINUBU is more than second term ticket. It is now a BATTLE OF PRIDE.

Of course,Ambode knows he can't win. The handwriting is clear on the wall. He is assured of his defeat already no matter the sophistication of his most potent arsenal (FG)

But his defeat today is just like a first half of a football match of two halves.

The second half is where the APC and Ambode will need a good fight to cement a victory.

Half time result:

TINUBU -1

AMBODE- 0

What should one expect in the second half?

I don't know.

All I know is :
Ambode will fight like a wonded lion.

And with the fact he is rumored to be unforgiving and proud, I can only assure you of an INTERESTING second half of not ME, not YOU.

THE BATTLE OF PRIDE

Anyone who thinks Ambode has a chance of winning today's primaries must be an alien from Mars.

A political student of any descent will surely know that he can never win even if the primaries are conducted a zillion time.

Why?
APC is a national party. But

APC Lagos is TINUBU.

TINUBU is APC Lagos.

TINUBU doesn't want Ambode.

APC Lagos doesn't want Ambode.

Read between the lines.

.in fact this is the greatest news I've heard in the past few days regarding this shit. Now Ambode and his people can have a fair challenge. I'm sure he'd be most happy with this development.
Fair challenge you say?

The party's backbone, who has the political structure of Lagos, has OPENLY decided to support SANWO OLU.

How fair the game is!

In this regard, Ambode is just playing to the gallery. He knows the game is not going to favour today.

Going to the primary today is part of plans to perfect his hidden motive.

I think he wants to go for the spoilers: if not ME, then not YOU.

We can only relax and watch.

Tell me!

If Ambode has been bold enough to step on big toes, wouldn't you think he would be courageous as well to deploy all his arsenal in this battle of pride?

And remember it is only a fool, a complete idiot that will beat a child and expect him/her not to cry.

Ambode is not alien; he is human. It is blood that runs in his vein, not gasoline.

Imagine Otedola contesting under PDP, Ambode under any of the parties except PDP and APC, and Sanwo Olu under APC. If this could play out, I am afraid SANWO OLU cannot survive.

Of course, the singular arsenal of either Otedola or Ambode can't annihilate JAGABAN, but their combo force is a surefire destruction.

I couldn't help laughing when Deomelo labeled Ambode as an incompetent fellow in one of these threads.

I think the guy should give Ambode's CV a second look. Even his paymaster, Aregbesola the WIELDER, can only dream of his professional competence.

What am I driving at? Ambode's flaws stem from his personality, obviously not his background.

Ambode and Otedola must not contest in 2019 under different parties. Otherwise, Sanwo Olu will not survive.

No political analyst can tell me APC can match their combo force. It is simply impossible.

In 2019 election of Ambode, Sanwo Olu and Otedola, victory is certain for everybody but SANWO OLU.

Just read between the lines.
Though it will be tough for Ambode to contest under different party , as he might not be able to stand the consequence (impeachment).

Drama!

A case of beauty takes one to palace, but character makes one live there.

It has been reported that Ambode is impossible, rude and inconsiderate . With this distasteful attitude of his, he stepped on many toes, even the toes of those whose back he rode to power in 2015.

And having waited for the right moment, this people are currently spearheading his travails of re-election.

What a perfect time to revenge!

However, I believe he will get the ticket at the end.
All these attacks on him are just used to relay a strong message that politics is a forest business, and a tree doesn't make a forest.

Stella odua is a saint, of course.

According to critics, her resignation has nothing with probity. They argue that it was only motivated by her desire to escape justice. Given this political-inspired stance of theirs, she is that sinner that should be sacrificed for redemption of our nation.

But they failed to think in retrospect. If they do, her resignation to them would have been nothing but unprecedented act of probity.

It is has always been like this: politicians change parties because of their permanent interests. Not only that, they are expertly SMART at pursuing their political goals by using various tools of manipulation like religion, ethnicity e.t.c.
On the other hand, the majority of the electorates don't even know what their interests are, talkless of following leaders who represent them. They go with anyone that appeal to their emotion the most. Unavoidably, at the end, they become gullible followers.
Sad.

Before anyone should comment on this, it is expected that the piece or statement above should be read and equally digested.

I referred to the president as being biased yesterday for removing a Southerner, and replacing him with a Northerner. But after reading the post above, I think he doesn't deserve all that. Reasons that:
1) Mr Seifa was just in acting capacity appointed by the acting president who the president can still change if he wishes.
2) Mr Michi was recommended by Seifa himself alongside some other staff of the service. Also some top presidential aides preferred the choice of Michi from a military competent background as demanded by Mr President.

With the statement above, I think with me being neutral in politics I don't think Buhari should be blamed on the appointment issue unless any opposition who is criticism and campaigning for his/her political party.

We all must first try to do the right thing always without prejudice and judging directly not knowing circumstances surrounding any development.

He may be blamed on other issues, but not this bro.

Sarcasm at work, Sir.
We really on the same page.

Very unfair statements to make.

She may have made her own errors but you must admit she has done well on her job.
I don't reply mentions but I will do so for some reasons best known to me.

I am not breathing words against Kemi. In fact, I am sympathetic towards her. Read my comment again, please.

Now, you will see that i am sarcastically echoing the minds of the SAINTS who ,out of ethnicity bigorty and intense hatred for Buhari, see her as the sacrificial lamb for the redemption of ecomomic recession that was orchestrated by their KINSMEN. They simply want her downfall. Why? You asked. To them, her sins are numerous (forgery is even secondary).

Given their own economics knowledge, Kemi shouldn't BORROW heavily in RECESSION. Some even opine that she brought Nigeria into recession. They suggested that she inherited a fat treasury from her super competent PREDECESSOR, only for her to empty it, borrow and ultimately led once VIBRANT economy into disaster. All these are some of the charges levelled against her.

Do you agree now that she is a sinner in the city of the saints, in the city of the sages, in the city of the Patriots (Nigeria)?

Dilemma! I must say.
I don't know how things will play out later because I am not privy to the discussion table, but as things stand now, Amobode's popularity and discerned public opinions clearly signal that no one,not even Tinubu, can contest against him in this govenorship election and win irrespective of his political party.

The reason is simple: People's loyalty.
Though Ambode has his shortcomings, Lagosians are passionate about his second term.

Hmm
Buhari an ethnic bigot, says Sages.

This is simply unacceptable, barbaric, and presumptuous.

What concerns us with the COMPETENCE of the so- called Northerner? What is our business with his APOLITICAL STATUS?

All we want is BUHARI being sensitive to the principle of FEDERAL CHARACTER.The new HEAD of DSS MUST be a Southern. Simple.

Moreover, the fact that the head of DSS relates MORE with other citizens than MR PRESIDENT even makes our demand reasonable.

Who is now a tribalist?
BUHARI or sages?
grin grin grin

Certainly not sages because they know more than Mr. President. In fact, they so intelligent and updated that they can govern the whole world from their parlour.
