On a “positive” note, I did my international passport biometric on the 5th of May and got it on Thursday last week (less than 3 months). Although, the status on the tracking portal is still showing “Production”.

Please am i expected to know each of these categories or only the vehicle handling category is fine?

Cus there are over 1000 questions in all the categories combined o how can anyone know them all
You are expected to know them all. There are about 774 questions to go through. You can go through all the questions in a little over a week if you set aside time for a 100 questions per day.

See my friend keep quiet if you don't know what you are saying, if you have it easy in life most people don't.
You are just making unnecessary excuses. If he/she ends up with a rejected PSW application, the next we’ll hear is how wicked and racist the UK is, when he or she willfully understood the full implication of his/her actions.

Firstly, choose any open date you see, then download Testi app(use the free one) and put all your information including your test date then activate alert to show you any cancelled date. Once you see a preferred cancel date, head up to DVSA site and book your practical driving test
Thank you.

2000%...... You can do both ........ Just ensure you keep your mouth shut and don't brag about it to your colleagues ...........🤣
From a tax perspective, I assume you wouldn't use the same tax code? If so, doesn't that increase the risk of being found out?

How did you eventually resolve this matter.......
I mailed them and requested they cancel the service as I never signed up for it. Apparently, the letting agent (Yourmove) had passed my information (they've got some sort of partnership) across even though I had signified that I wasn't interested in any insurance coverage while signing the tenancy agreement.

It eventually got cancelled without any fuss.

Why is a public forum hardly the place to give professional advice? It is an advice so it is up to the individual to do whatever they want with the information. The same way we all give "professional" advice here too.

The comment you made below is highly distasteful and unbecoming. Do better!
His comments are neither distasteful nor negative. He hasn’t called the fellow advertising his service a fake. All he did was to ask that anyone interested in engaging him carry out his or her due diligence. How is that a problem please?

Afternoon everyone,

Please is the below clause the norm on tenancy agreements? note that this is for a 12-month tenancy agreement.

"The landlord reserves the right to review the rent on a six-monthly basis and/or when the tenancy is renewed. The landlord may elect to increase the rent to bring it in line with the current market rent of similar properties in the area."

Kindly advise.

Is your name written anywhere on the letter ?

Perhaps the letter is meant to be delivered to the previous occupant. Did you recently moved in to the apartment?
My best guess YourMove letting agency. I was originally supposed to move into another apartment but the whole process fell through as I got a better accommodation.

Thinking back, it is likely that YourMove signed up for that service on my behalf even after I later didn’t go ahead with the apartment.

I’ve gone ahead to notify First2Protect and PremiumCredit.

Many thanks.

It was addressed to me. Before today I had never heard of the company in question. Hence my surprise when I saw the mail was addressed to me rather than the generic “Dear sir”.

It says you have 14 days to cancel so better do that make sure you do that and get it confirmed in writing. Also check your bank accounts for any unauthorised direct debits and cancel pronto!! I presume you have internet banking?

I’m 1000% sure I never signed up for this. I don’t have a car and I’m sure I’d probably remember if I did speak to an insurance rep. I’ve gone ahead to respond to the mail requesting for a TOTAL cancellation of whatever service they’ve got setup in my name.

Thanks

Good evening house,

I got this in the mail and was little confused as at no point did I contact or sign up for this service. Moreover, they claim to have setup a direct debit. My question now is, am I not expected to authorise or confirm a service before a DD can’t be setup on my bank account?

Anyone familiar with this please?

We went the easy route and picked one of the multi manager funds but a mid risk one rather than an accelerated growth/high risk fund. We really don't want to be managing the funds/ portfolios ourselves. We'd rather invest and forget till the children access it.
Alright. Many thanks.

Shareswise - we've now opened targeted growth fund accounts for the children with Lansdown Hargreaves. We pay £100 a month into each child's account.
Hi Ticha,

Many thanks for taking the time out to share.

Can you please explain a bit further on the highlighted part? Are there particular shares/funds/stocks you’ve in?

Hello house,

I think this might have been covered here previously, I can’t seem to locate the page. I’m currently filling the form for my provisional driver’s license, but I need to confirm if I need to send both my passport and BRP (even though I have generated a share code) or or neither since i put down details of my BRP share code.

Thanks.

Alopecia is not a disability.
This is it right here. I don’t know how Alopecia became a disability. We get all too touchy about too many things when in fact it is a comedians job to elicit laughter. The fact is Will Smith was way out of line, and if he felt too strongly about the joke perhaps he shouldn’t have been laughing in the first male. So much for pseudo masculinity.

Not necessarily.
There are no hard and fast rules.
Sometimes, at the pre-selection stage, some candidates are washed out because they will need sponsorship.
Sometimes, at the pre-selection stage, the company decides it is prepared to provide sponsorship if a good candidate may require it.
And I have heard of a couple of cases where a company went down the whole sponsor licence route for a specific candidate (it's certainly not as expensive as people think, far from it).

The point being that at whatever stage you raise the issue of sponsorship in a recruitment process and the subsequent outcome, you have not made a fatal mistake or done anything that you should regret.
Many thanks for this advise.

I have gone ahead in accepting an offer(I’m on a tier 4 dependent visa). Only challenge I’ve got now is, at what point do I bring up talks about sponsorship (probation period is 6 months)? as I have check and the org is on the UK sponsorship list.

Your guidance will be appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I recently got an offer from an organisation, after reviewing the contract of employment I observed the following clause was inserted.

"You shall not during your employment, except as a representative of the Company or with the prior written consent of the CEO, whether paid or unpaid, be directly or indirectly engaged, concerned, or have any financial interest in any capacity in any other business, trade, profession, or occupation. ".

HR professionals, please does this imply that I cant take up part-time employment not in conflict with the organisation as well as outside the weekly allotted work hours of 37.5 hours?

Is this the norm?

Not really apart from your basics - utilities, furnishing, damages etc.
Depends on you and the kind of accommodation. As long as you go through the agreement in detail and are comfortable with the Ts and Cs, you're good.

Please are there particular things to look out for while reviewing a tenancy agreement as well as things the landlord is required to do by law?

Thank you.

Those on Tier 4 won't have NINos on the back of their BRPs.

Your NiNo will come in the form of a letter sent to you at your chosen address. However, addresses can change, as people move around, so that address is not in any way permanent or determinative.

When seeking work, you will be asked for one document as proof of identity, then your right to work (BRP), and a proof of address. The fastest way to get an official document proving your address is to use a bank statement. Open a Starling/Monzo/Chase account in-app, use your card a few times, and you'll rapidly have a bank statement available to download with your chosen address on it. Depending on what kind of accommodation you eventually rent, a utility bill also works.
Yeah thanks. Planning on using a relatives address pending when we secure our own apartment.

My NIN came out in 5 weeks but the standard wait time is 16 weeks. You cant contact them until then. I have used my NIN as proof of address on so many occasions cos it's a government document, most organisations dont accept tenancy agreements. I will advise you use a permanent address for your NIN application.
Alright. Many thanks.
