CelebritiesPertinent Questions To Ask On Some Of Yinka Ayefele's Claims by midolian(op): 10:10am On Aug 21, 2018
I read on a thread just now where he claimed his wife was at the Governor's place begging from 11pm to 4am. As much as I sympathize with him, I just can't imagine not getting answers to these questions on my curious mind

1. These hours are ungodly: Why were these hours chosen to do the begging?

2. Who kneels for such lengthy hours over what? Not even to reverse a death sentence

3. If Yinka Ayefele's wife doesn't sleep at night, I want to believe, Ajimobi does. Considering the calibre of person he is, even if he doesn't, his wife will ensure he does..

Why would a man with conscience watch another man's wife kneel to beg him for good 5hours in the dead of the night?

4. What was the $1,000 Ajimobi gave her for? What service(s) was/were rendered?

5. Where was Ajimobi's wife when all these were happening?

Something just doesn't add up. Pls let's put religion and politics aside and suggest answers to these questions

Note: I sympathize with him and I am not taking sides..but these questions need to be asked. angry

PoliticsSenator Ajayi Boroffice: How Saraki Will Be Removed As Senate President by midolian(op): 7:59am On Aug 21, 2018
The lawmaker representing the Ondo-North senatorial district, Senator Ajayi Boroffice, says Senate President Bukola Saraki’s continued leadership of the Senate despite his defection to the opposition party is an aberration which will not be allowed to happen again.

Boroffice, who is a member of the Buhari/Osinbajo Mandate Group, said this shortly after welcoming President Muhammadu Buhari who recently returned from London.

He said the All Progressives Congress would not allow Saraki, who is now a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, to continue to preside over the affairs of the upper legislative chamber.

The lawmaker said, “We are the majority party and what has happened is an aberration and this kind of aberration will never happen again. The President must be supported in fulfilling his mandate which has been obstructed by the leadership of the Senate.”

Asked on whether the Senate would rely on two-thirds of the entire Senate or on a quorum to remove Saraki, the Boroffice said he would rather rely on the latter.

He said, “If the constitution says two-thirds of all members, it means it will require two-thirds of 109 but if it says two-thirds of members, it will be two-thirds of all members who are present and that is what I will opt for.”

Prince Ebunola Martins, who is the National Coordinator of the Buhari/Osinbajo Mandate Group, said they would do everything possible to ensure that Buhari was re-elected to continue his good works.

He said Buhari had delivered on his core promises of reviving the economy, addressing the insecurity challenge and fighting corruption.

Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political Matters, Mr Gideon Samani, said Buhari was fit to run for a second term, adding that his recent visit to the United Kingdom was a mere medical checkup.

Politics2019: APC Will Takeover Akwa Ibom Like When Hitler Invaded Poland – Akpabio by midolian(op): 11:41am On Aug 20, 2018
Godswill AKpabio, a former Senate Minority Leader, has said the All Progressives Congress, APC, will take over Akwa Ibom State in 2019 just like the late German dictator, Adolf Hitler took over Poland.

He said just like Hitler invaded Poland in 1940, same way APC will overrun the state.

He said this over the weekend at the funeral Mass of his grandmother-in-law, late Madam Mercy Uduoku Neife Igwenagu, at Christ the king Parish, Aguobu-Owa, Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.

According to Akpabio, “Recently, I had an occasion in Akwa Ibom State and this is what happened: I went just to make a floor declaration; others do it in the social media, others just sit in their offices, some do it by text messages that they have changed platform, what we call party. But in my own, I just decided to do it in an uncommon way because they call me uncommon transformer.

“It was watched in 59 countries and somebody asked what happened there, and I said just how it happened in Poland. When did they ask Hitler’s minister for information about the war in Poland, and he said Warsaw saw war and war saw Warsaw.

“I will say that in the Ikot-Ekpene arena, when I stepped out, this is my first function after that, Warsaw saw war and war saw Warsaw. We can’t talk politics in the church but in 2019 Warsaw shall see war and war shall see Warsaw. The return will be victory. May God grant us all victory.

“By the time I joined the (Igwenagu) family, we produced a local government chairman, we produced a commissioner for Urban Development in Enugu State, Special Adviser, we produced a commissioner in the government of Anambra State, we produced a businessman from the family whose name is everywhere and the daughters are doing well in their different fields.

“We don’t want to be very rich because when you are very rich and you want to die, you start crying because of your money in the bank.

“All of us have resolved that God should just give us the basic need like Mama was. We just want to be comfortable the way we are and now she is transiting to heaven and she will be there as a Saint to pray for the rest of the world, may God accept her in Jesus name. Amen!”

Politics'Concerned Nigerians' List 13 Reasons Saraki Cannot Be President by midolian(op):
CNAS, in the statement, cited various reasons Saraki should not run for the office of the Presidency, making particular references to several corruption allegations levelled against him.

A coalition of groups, under the umbrella of Concerned Nigerians against Saraki (CNAS), has listed a number of reasons it is against the presidential bid of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

A few days ago, Saraki alluded to his decision to contest Nigeria’s presidential seat in the forthcoming elections, in an interview with Bloomberg, held at his Abuja residence.

When asked if he would contest, Saraki said: “I am consulting and actively considering it. I believe I can make the change.”

CNAS, in the statement, however, cited various reasons Saraki should not run for the office of the Presidency, making particular references to several corruption allegations levelled against him.

Citing his alleged link to the robbery in Offa, Kwara State; allegations of fraud during his time at the Société Générale Bank Nigeria Limited; issues relating to the Panama Papers investigation, among others, the group stated that the Senate President “cannot be trusted with the national treasury of the people’s mandate.”

Below is the full text the statement by Concerned Nigerians against Saraki (CNAS):

Société Générale Bank Nigeria Limited collapsed under the watch of Saraki and his family. Bukola Saraki was Director of the defunct bank between 2002 and 2003. Allegations of fraud still trial them till today, while the bank’s shareholders and customers suffered losses in millions. Over N1bn was alleged to have been looted from the SGB treasury. The EFCC charged Saraki to court for alleged fraud. Eight of the 30-count charge were directed at Saraki alone, and three solely for the defunct bank's MD.

There are claims that the Saraki family liquidated SGB to fund Bukola Saraki’s governorship campaign in Kwara State. The Senate President, Saraki, has been doing the same, dipping into the nation’s treasury and taxpayers’ funds through fraudulent juicy allocations to him and his cronies.

During his two-terms as governor between 2003 and 2011, Bukola Saraki converted by unscrupulous means Kwara State Government funds into his personal cash cow. He dipped his hand into the Kwara treasury at will and disregards government due process, while he allegedly converted Kwara State government assets into his own or for his cronies.

Saraki cannot be trusted with the national treasury of the people’s mandate. He has a history of betrayals trailing him. He reportedly slapped a commissioner under his administration for being more loyal to Bukola Saraki’s own father than to him. Bukola Saraki betrayed his family – father (late Waziri of Ilorin, Dr. Olusola Saraki) and sister – because of his greed, arrogance and devilish thirst for power. He did the same when he defected from APC to PDP despite being elected as Senate President under the APC and does not obey the rule of law as he operates with impunity to those who go against his wishes. He will do the same if elected president, betray the Nigerian people.

In 2012, Saraki, was questioned by the Special Fraud Unit of the Nigeria Police in Lagos, in relation to a N11 billion financial scandal at the defunct Intercontinental Bank Plc. Inside sources said Saraki was able to get away with the scandal due to his connections in government then.

Saraki was linked to the ‘EFCC wanted Kennedy Izuagbe’, a former director of Societe Generale Bank Nigeria Plc. Societe Generale Bank is owned by Saraki’s late father, Olusola Saraki. Mr. Izuagbe, 45, was being investigated in a case of conspiracy and money laundering to the tune of over N3.6 billion.

Bukola Saraki as Governor in Kwara State saw to the enactment of a fraudulent executive bill that allotted to himself huge sums and other privileges in form of pensions and salary as an ex-governor.

Saraki’s tenure as governor was described as some persons in the state as “self-serving, self-seeking and selfish.

Investigation uncovered Saraki’s hidden assets, including London property in the name of Toyin Saraki but which was left out among the assets declared by the Senate President. Some of them are as follows:

* The hidden property is located at #8 Whuttaker Street, Belgravia, London SW1W 8JQ. It has title number NGL802235. The first, Girol Properties Ltd, was registered on August 25, 2004, (a year after Mrs. Saraki’s husband became governor of Kwara State) in the British Virgin Island (BVI).

* Company documents show that Mrs. Saraki owns 25,000 numbers of shares.

* According to TI, Land Registry documents show that the houses at 7 and 8 Whittaker Street, Belgravia, London are owned by Landfield International Developments Limited and Renocon Property Development Limited. Based on current market estimates by Zoopla, the properties are worth a combined total of around £15 million.

* As part of the Panama Papers revelations, these companies were controlled by Toyin Saraki, the wife of the President of the Nigerian Senate, Bukola Saraki, as well as one of his personal aides. At the time of these revelations, none of the offshore holdings were reported in Mr. Saraki’s official asset declarations.

* In 2003, his asset declaration showed he had amassed tens of millions of pounds worth of assets during his time as Director of Société Générale Bank and Special Assistant to the President on Budget. The explanation he provided for these acquisitions was stated simply as “business”.

Saraki was again caught in the web of “falsification of Senate standing order’ with the Police investigating the matter and submitting its report to the office of the Attorney General of the Federation.

Saraki was accused of ‘falsification of asset declaration’ by the Code of Conduct Bureau. The CCB had levelled a 13-count corruption charge against the Senate President.

Saraki’s link to the N298m armoured Range Rover SUV seized by the Nigeria Customs Service.

Saraki is linked to $19.5b Paris Club Loan Refund scandal in which he was alleged to have received $2.5b from the amount embezzled.

PoliticsDefection: Why I Rejected Saraki And His Father – Ex-pdp Chairman, Suleiman by midolian(op): 12:06pm On Aug 19, 2018
"After the old man died, his son stepped into his shoes. Because he was not a politician, he merely stepped into the shoes of his late father and inherited the existing structure but he does not know how to manage it.

“He reduces everybody to the level of a servant. Politics is not a master-servant relationship. Those of us who have something to offer can never play that type of politics.

The founding chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Kwara State, Pa Kunle Suleiman, has revealed that he once told Olusola Saraki, father of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki that they will never be in the same political party.

The politician, who left the party recently following the defection of Saraki to the PDP, told Punch that he did so because he could not be in the same political party with Saraki because of their own political ideology.

According to him, Saraki merely stepped into his father’s shoes and inherited the existing structure but does not know how to manage it, saying light and darkness cannot exist together.

He said, “I am not only a founding father of the PDP in Kwara State, I am one of the founding fathers of the PDP at the national level, having started from G-18 to G-36 until it transformed to the PDP.

“Therefore in Kwara State, I nurtured the PDP from the scratch. It is painful that I had to leave the house I laboured hard to build.

“I really need to do so with pains because I cannot stay in the same political party with Bukola Saraki. At the beginning, when we had three parties including the PDP, and the Alliance for Democracy.

“I deliberately went to the PDP in order to avoid being in the same party with that dynasty when late Baba Olusola Saraki was alive.

“We (Olusola and I) had a very good working relationship, we talked and so on but I told him (Olusola Saraki) that we cannot be in the same party because their own politics is not ideology-based, and it is not geared towards the improvement of the lives of the masses, therefore we cannot co-habit in the same party; that is why I went to the PDP.

“After the old man died, his son stepped into his shoes. Because he was not a politician, he merely stepped into the shoes of his late father and inherited the existing structure but he does not know how to manage it.

“He reduces everybody to the level of a servant. Politics is not a master-servant relationship. Those of us who have something to offer can never play that type of politics.

“So basically, we are just different politically. Our thoughts are not the same; our ideas are not the same. We think of the masses, Bukola thinks of what he will acquire.

“Bukola does not think of the people, he thinks about himself; all others are mere instruments for him to achieve his objectives, expand his political empire and political image.

“If you look at what is happening, why did he leave the PDP for the APC in 2014? It was not because former President Goodluck Jonathan was not performing; it was because he felt that he had not had enough recognition.

“Under President Muhammadu Buhari, his defection is not based on differences of ideology, and it is not that the masses are suffering and the government should have initiated and implemented better policies; it is about him. That’s why we cannot be together.

“He described the PDP as the worst party that existed and he left, moved everybody including the structures to the APC, later he formed New Peoples Democratic Party.

“Now he has formed the Reformed-APC and he has gone back to the PDP. Light and darkness can never dwell together. We are light and that is why we left the PDP.”
