2027 Presidency: South West Should Produce All Presidential Candidates, South East in 2031 – Lamido The leader of Arewa Summit International, Dr. Bashir Lamido, has called for the South West to produce all presidential candidates for the 2027 elections, while advocating that the South East should take the same opportunity in 2031. Speaking during a high-level political dialogue on zoning and national cohesion held in Abuja on Friday , Dr. Lamido emphasised that this rotational approach would promote unity, fairness, and long-term political stability across Nigeria. “For the sake of equity, national integration, and the stability of our democracy, we believe the South West should present all presidential candidates in 2027. Then, come 2031, the South East – which has long awaited its turn – should be given the full platform to produce the next president,” Lamido stated. Arewa Summit International, under Dr. Lamido’s leadership, has become a leading northern-based political think tank known for its pan-Nigerian vision and commitment to bridging regional divides. He further stressed that the proposal is not about excluding any group, but rather about setting a national precedent for justice and inclusion. “This is not just about politics. It’s about healing, trust-building, and showing every Nigerian that they belong to the same nation. People may ask, what about the north? It should be the turn of the north in 2031. They forget that the North has spent more years leading the country than any other region. “It is just right to balance the leadership across the regions. We are only hoping that in 2031, the South East should be extended same national compliments as we are hopeful to do for South West in 2027.” he said.

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in the Digital Age — A Visionary Leader for Modern Nigeria By Professor Ojo Emmanuel Ademola Nigeria finds itself at a crucial juncture in an era where digital transformation is reshaping the global landscape. The need for visionary leadership that can leverage technology to propel national progress is more pressing than ever. One leader who exemplifies this forward-thinking approach is Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. His tenure as the governor of Abia State from 1999 to 2007, along with his current role as a senator, has been marked by innovative policies and transformative leadership. Kalu’s influence goes beyond traditional governance; he embraces the digital age to foster development and improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians. This piece explores his significant contributions and the lasting legacy he continues to create. Senator Kalu served as the governor of Abia State from 1999 to 2007, during which he demonstrated transformational leadership and implemented innovative policies that helped establish a modern, tech-savvy Nigeria. His accomplishments in agriculture, infrastructure, health, education, and sports showcase his ability to adapt and lead effectively in a rapidly changing world. Under Kalu’s leadership, Abia State made significant strides in reducing poverty. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported that in 2003–2004, Abia had the second-lowest poverty rate in Nigeria. This achievement was not coincidental; it stemmed from intentional policies and investments that utilised technology to enhance the lives of everyday Nigerians. Kalu’s approach to food security was truly ahead of its time. He increased local production by requiring each Local Government Area (LGA) to cultivate 10 hectares of cassava. He envisioned a network of cassava-based industries that could flourish in the digital economy. His introduction of the Tenera oil palm variety further showcased his commitment to sustainable agricultural practices. Through innovative solutions, Kalu improved primary healthcare services and increased access to medical care in rural communities. He rehabilitated general hospitals and constructed health centres throughout the state, ensuring that even remote areas could benefit from modern medical care. His administration’s free medical outreach programs and enhancements to maternal and child health services were pioneering efforts that utilised technology to improve healthcare delivery. Kalu’s vision for a digital future was evident in his education focus. He invested in improving and renovating public schools, provided learning materials, and ensured that teachers received their salaries on time. His scholarship programs and emphasis on technical education equipped Nigerian youth for leadership roles in the digital age. Kalu’s tenure marked a significant road revolution in Abia State, constructing and rehabilitating major roads to enhance trade and connectivity. These infrastructure projects aimed to support a modern economy, allowing farmers, traders, and transporters to prosper in an increasingly digital world. His contributions to sports, primarily through Enyimba Football Club, demonstrated his talent for inspiring and bringing together young people from diverse backgrounds. By investing in the team and upgrading its facilities, Kalu promoted a sporting culture that embraced the digital age. Enyimba achieved remarkable success, winning the CAF Champions League consecutively in 2003 and 2004. In recent years, Senator Kalu has actively promoted digital initiatives. He has strongly advocated training young people in digital skills, recognising the importance of equipping the next generation with the tools necessary to thrive in a technology-driven world. For example, he supported the Digital Skill Youth Empowerment Programme, which trained youths in data analytics and web development. This initiative provided valuable skills and created new employment opportunities in the digital sector. Kalu has strongly advocated policies that help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) utilise digital technologies to expand their businesses. He has promoted better access to credit and financial services for SMEs, recognising that financial inclusion is essential for unlocking the potential of small businesses in the digital economy. As a Senator, Kalu has prioritised legislative reforms to foster economic growth and promote social justice. He has advocated for bills that enhance infrastructure development, including efforts to secure federal funding for improving road networks and public utilities throughout Nigeria. Additionally, he supports measures that encourage entrepreneurship and industrialisation to create jobs. Kalu is passionate about good governance, emphasising the importance of transparency and accountability in leadership. He actively promotes legislation to combat corruption and reinforce the rule of law. Despite his many achievements, there is still room for improvement. Senator Kalu could enhance his impact by increasing his involvement in digital literacy programs, ensuring that even the most remote communities can access the internet and digital tools. Additionally, by expanding his focus on renewable energy initiatives, he could help position Nigeria as a leader in sustainable development. Senator Kalu's constituents' ongoing support can be attributed to his consistent fulfilment of promises and the noticeable impact he has had on their lives. His capacity to listen to the people's needs and take decisive action has earned him their trust and loyalty. Kalu’s leadership style, which focuses on practical solutions and tangible results, deeply resonates with the aspirations of ordinary Nigerians. As Nigeria navigates the challenges of the digital age, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s legacy serves as a model for visionary leadership. His track record of transformational governance demonstrates that with effective leadership, Nigeria has the potential to thrive once more—industrially, economically, socially, and on the global stage. In today’s fast-paced technological landscape, let us demand leaders who do more than talk. Let us seek leaders who can leverage digital transformation to foster progress and enhance the lives of all Nigerians. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is recognised for his governance and for establishing a legacy that challenges current leaders. His contributions inspire Nigerians to imagine a brighter future in the digital era. Public reactions to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s impact have been largely positive, reflecting his significant contributions to Abia State and Nigeria. Many Nigerians commend his transformational leadership and innovative policies, particularly his efforts to reduce poverty, improve infrastructure, and promote digital literacy. His constituents appreciate his hands-on approach and his ability to deliver tangible results, which have earned him widespread support and loyalty. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has faced criticism and legal challenges that have sparked public debate about his leadership and integrity. Despite these controversies, he remains popular among his supporters, who believe in his vision and leadership capabilities. Kalu is recognised for delivering tangible results and demonstrating a commitment to improving the lives of ordinary Nigerians. His practical solutions and hands-on approach resonate with his followers, who appreciate the visible impact of his policies. This strong support underscores the belief that Kalu can continue fostering progress and development in Nigeria, even in adversity. As Nigeria moves through the challenges of the digital era, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu stands out as an example of visionary leadership. His approach to governance has been marked by transformational efforts focusing on practical solutions and measurable outcomes. This highlights the potential for Nigeria to reclaim its industrial, economic, social, and global prominence under effective leadership. In an age of rapid technological advancement, the demand for leaders capable of leveraging digital transformation is critical. Senator Kalu’s governance encompassed these ideals and established a lasting legacy that urges current leaders to rise to the occasion and encourages all Nigerians to dream of a brighter future

Sen. Kalu Commends President Tinubu's Courageous Approach To Leadership, On The Occasion Of Nigeria's Second Anniversary Of President Tinubu's Administration. The Statement Reads: As Nigeria marks the second anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, I join millions of Nigerians in acknowledging and commending a presidency defined by bold, deliberate reforms aimed at repositioning our great nation for lasting prosperity. President Tinubu assumed office at a critical juncture in our national journey — a time that called for courage, clarity, and decisive leadership. In just two years, he has proven that he possesses all three in abundance. From economic restructuring to institutional reforms, President Tinubu has initiated policies that many before him dared not confront. The removal of the fuel subsidy, though initially unpopular, was a necessary step to rescue Nigeria from fiscal hemorrhage. This singular decision, long avoided by successive governments, has now freed up resources for more strategic national investments. Likewise, the unification of the exchange rate system is a transformative move that is already beginning to restore transparency and investor confidence in our financial system. Infrastructure development has continued with notable momentum under his leadership. Projects in transportation, power, and housing are advancing, and the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund is a visionary tool to accelerate delivery across states. These are not mere intentions; they are actions driven by purpose. On security, the administration has made clear strides. While threats still exist, we must acknowledge the progress in improved coordination among the armed forces, proactive responses to emerging challenges, and continued investment in the morale and welfare of our security agencies. Peace is the prerequisite for progress, and this government understands that. Importantly, President Tinubu has not ignored the everyday Nigerian. The introduction of targeted social investment programs — including conditional cash transfers, support for small businesses, and student loan initiatives — speaks to his commitment to inclusivity and compassion in governance. These measures have helped cushion the impact of economic adjustments while promoting equity and access. Internationally, Nigeria is once again asserting itself with clarity and strength. The president’s strategic diplomacy has strengthened our ties with global partners and reaffirmed Nigeria’s leadership in West Africa and the African continent at large. His calls for economic fairness and democratic stability have resonated with both investors and allies. As a former governor and current senator, I understand the weight of responsibility that comes with leading a diverse and expectant nation like ours. President Tinubu’s approach has shown that leadership is not about taking the easy path, but about choosing what is right for the country’s long-term interest — even when it is hard. I commend his courage, his reforms, and his vision. I encourage all Nigerians to support the ongoing transformation. Nation-building is not the job of one man; it is a shared responsibility. These first two years have laid a strong foundation — and I am confident that even greater progress lies ahead. Mr. President, congratulations. Your boldness has opened the door to Nigeria’s renewal, and your leadership will continue to shape its future. May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu Former Governor of Abia State & Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

2027: Tinubu’s gale of Endorsements Driven By His Performance, Not Fear of Opposition – Senator Orji Kalu From Abuja, Kenneth Udeh Abia-North Lawmaker, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has dismissed speculations that the growing wave of endorsements for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027 is a response to fears about opposition coalitions. Instead, the former Senate Chief Whip emphasized that the endorsements are driven by President Tinubu’s bold leadership and transformative policies. Addressing members of the Senate Press Corps in Abuja on Tuesday, Senator Kalu who chairs the 10th Senate Committee on South-East Development Commission asserted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has no fear of any coalition, describing the party as “passionate about Nigeria” and focused on nation-building. Providing responses questions asked by the Senate Journalists at the National Assembly lobby; “No, no, no. I don’t think a party like APC has anybody to fear. We are the ruling party. We love Nigeria. That’s why many of us are building industries across the country to create jobs even outside government,” Kalu said. According to him, criticism from the opposition is expected and even necessary in a democratic setting, but such criticism should not be mistaken for weakness on the part of the ruling party. “The opposition must fight. That’s their job. But our job is to deliver, and we are doing our job perfectly well. In the coming years, Nigerians will appreciate what Mr. President is doing,” he added. On the President’s recent visit to the Vatican, which had sparked debates due to his faith, Kalu offered a spirited defense, explaining that Tinubu attended at the personal invitation of Pope Francis whom he described as a personal friend of the President. “It would have been disrespectful if he ignored the Pope’s invitation. About 1.8 billion Catholics, including myself, appreciate that gesture. In 2027, Catholics will remember that,” he noted. When asked about the Southeast Endorsement and zone's Party Loyalty The former Abia Governor further disclosed that the Southeast caucus of the APC had long thrown its support behind President Tinubu, even before other endorsements emerged. He pointed to a prior endorsement led by key Southeast figures, including Governors and federal legislators. “We endorsed him weeks ago, chaired by Governor Hope Uzodinma and co-chaired by the Governor of Ebonyi and the Deputy Speaker. We initiated the national endorsement,” he said, proudly displaying his attire which he described as symbolic of his support for the President. Giving his verdict on Tinubu’s Economic Policies,Senator Kalu praised the President for making tough but necessary choices like subsidy removal and exchange rate unification, acknowledging the current hardships but emphasizing that these changes were essential for long-term national stability. “I'm not a politician. I'm a businessman. And this is the first President who ended the cheap money culture. People made money from nothing before. This President is telling us: make money the right way or don’t make it at all,” he stressed. He maintained that Tinubu’s policies are already impacting the macroeconomic level, and projected that their benefits would soon reach everyday Nigerians. “Tinubu is not just a Southern President. He will be re-elected by both North and South because it's in the national interest. We don’t want the country to break, we want it to thrive,” he stated. On his plans for 2027, Kalu while responding to a question on his own political future and track record, Kalu reaffirmed his commitment to serving his constituents and Nigeria with integrity and passion. He said that while infrastructure and education have been priorities, his focus will shift to agriculture come 2027. “You must love people to serve them. That’s why I work hard. I don’t even keep a bank account. Everything I have goes into helping people—through roads, schools, agriculture, and my foundation,” he declared. Senator Kalu also urged all Nigerian leaders regardless of party affiliation to speak the truth and focus on uplifting the people rather than trading blame or harboring bitterness.

My Children Who Benefited From Orji Uzor Kalu's Free Education In Abia Now Doctors, Lawyers — Cleric Popular Abia cleric, Rev. Chika Ubani, has hailed former Abia State Governor, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, for his transformative impact on education, revealing that his four children—who benefited from Kalu’s free education policy—are now successful doctors and lawyers. According to him, “some of them are now practicing in the United States of America (USA), and United Kingdom (UK), all thanks to the opportunity Kalu gave us.” Rev. Ubani described Kalu as a “lover of education” who remains committed to human capital development, even as a serving senator. “Dr. Kalu is still investing in education as a senator, awarding scholarships and supporting educational initiatives across Nigeria. He is a true icon of hope who led Abia in the right direction,” the cleric added. He emphasised the progress made under Kalu's leadership from 1999 to 2007, calling him a natural-born leader who provided unprecedented governance. "Abia flourished under the leadership of Orji Uzor Kalu,” he said. "My four children are where they are today because he gave them and many others the gift of education.” Ubani also cautioned against narratives that paint Abia’s governance in a negative light. “It is unacceptable to describe governance in Abia as wasteful for 24 years,” he said. “Governance is continuity; we expected his successors to continue from where he stopped like what Governor Otti is trying to do now.” He recalled Kalu’s national acclaim, stating, “We were all here when Obasanjo tagged Kalu as the action governor—when he saw his developmental strides in few months in office. Abia witnessed massive changes in all sectors that even forced people to relocate from other cities to Aba.” Further highlighting Kalu’s widespread support, Ubani noted, “Are you forgetting that even Ohanaeze Ndigbo adopted Kalu as its presidential candidate in 2007? If Kalu had failed, would the apex body of the Igbo sociopolitical group have adopted him?” The cleric praised Kalu’s landmark achievements in infrastructure and security, especially in Aba. “He recovered most parts of Aba from infrastructural decay,” Ubani said. “He also established an indigenous security outfit — the Bakassi Boys — that restored peace in a city once overwhelmed by crime. Till date, we are yet to see a more effective vigilante group in Nigeria.” He concluded by emphasising the legacy Kalu left behind: “During his time, OUK was rated as the best-performing governor and Abia was the most celebrated state in terms of infrastructural development after Lagos. He truly earned the moniker ‘Action Governor’ because of the real results he delivered.”

OPINION: Orji Uzor Kalu And The Power Of Transformational Leadership — A Legacy All Abians Must Remember By Onu Uche In a time when Nigerians are losing faith in leadership, it is more important than ever to remember the kind of governance that brought real, measurable progress to our people. One name that stands tall in Abia State’s history is Senator Orji Uzor Kalu—a man whose tenure as governor (1999–2007) was defined by transformational leadership and people-focused development. The numbers speak for themselves. According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Abia State had the second-lowest poverty rate in Nigeria during the 2003–2004 period. At 40.9%, Abia outperformed even richer or more industrialized states like Lagos (69.4%), Rivers (56.7%), and the Federal Capital Territory (53.3%). Only Oyo State had a lower rate. This was not achieved by chance. It was the result of deliberate policies and investments in agriculture, infrastructure, health, education, and human capital. Orji Uzor Kalu understood that real leadership isn’t about empty promises—it’s about building systems that work for everyone, from the market woman in Ariaria to the students in classrooms across Umuahia and Aba. While many talked about food security, Kalu acted. Under his directive, every Local Government Area (LGA) was mandated to cultivate 10 hectares of cassava. This initiative had the potential to revolutionize local production, and could have built a network of cassava-based industries across Abia. He also introduced the Tenera oil palm variety, boosting palm oil production for both domestic use and export. Kalu’s administration even baked bread from cassava flour to demonstrate its viability and reduce dependency on imported wheat—proof of his commitment to practical solutions. In health, the Kalu administration expanded primary healthcare services and improved access in rural communities. He rehabilitated general hospitals and constructed several health centres across the state, ensuring that even remote areas could access basic medical care. Abians will recall free medical outreach programmes and improvements in maternal and child health services under his leadership. Orji Uzor Kalu believed that education was the key to a better Abia. His administration invested in building and renovating public schools, supplying learning materials, and paying teachers regularly at a time when many other states struggled. He launched scholarship schemes and prioritized technical education—preparing Abian youths not just for jobs, but for leadership. Kalu’s tenure saw an unprecedented road revolution across Abia State. Major roads in Aba, Umuahia, Ohafia, Bende, and across LGAs were constructed or rehabilitated—many of which are still in use today. These roads opened up rural communities, improved trade, and made life easier for farmers, traders, and transporters alike. And who can forget what he did for sports? Under his watch, Enyimba Football Club rose to continental glory—winning the CAF Champions League back-to-back in 2003 and 2004. He invested heavily in the team, upgraded facilities, and inspired a sporting culture in Abia that united young people across backgrounds. As many fans often say, if Orji Uzor Kalu were still in charge today, Enyimba would be competing with top European clubs. Abians, let us not forget what real leadership looked like. Orji Uzor Kalu was not perfect, but his record speaks clearly. He transformed the lives of ordinary people—not through political noise, but through visible, lasting impact. He listened. He acted. He delivered. In today’s climate of rising hardship and declining public services, Kalu’s era reminds us that governance can work. It reminds us that with the right leadership, Abia can rise again—industrially, economically, socially, and globally. As we look to the future, let us demand leaders who can do more than talk. Let us demand leaders who can transform. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu did not just govern—he built a legacy. And that legacy is a challenge to today’s leaders and a reminder to every Abian of what is possible when a leader chooses to serve the people above self. Onu Uche writes from Ndi Ibe Ohafia, Abia State, Nigeria.

Top Industrialist And Business Mogul Dr. Henry Isiguzo, Sends Message Of Hope To Ikwuano-Umuahia Constituents. The Statement Reads: --- Acta Non Verba.!! "In a globalized world where Innovation and results are products of effective leadership", "In a world where Human Capital is fast becoming the yardstick for changing lives,,, it is regrettable to mention that grandstanding, prebendal politics, coupled with an obscured legislative voice, have become the disheartening dividends being attracted to the prestigious people of Ikwuano-Umuahia Constituents". "Within our private economic confines, we have constantly touched lives, lifted depressed souls and empowered many.... If we can do this privately, it is therefore expected that those in positions of authority should do more with our common patrimony. It is the constitutional rights of the people and never an act of generosity on their part". "We are poised to recover, reposition and place our people on the path of prosperity, through effective representation, ideas and innovations". Abia Had Nigeria’s Lowest Poverty Rate Under Orji Uzor Kalu’s Government – A Legacy Of Visionary Leadership By Onu Uche A data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has revealed that Abia State recorded the lowest poverty headcount rate in Nigeria after Oyo State in the 2003–2004 period, a remarkable feat credited to the administration of Governor Orji Uzor Kalu. According to the NBS report titled “State-level Head Count Per Capita Poverty Measure (%),” Abia State posted a poverty rate of 40.9%, which was not only the lowest in the South East but also the lowest in the entire country at that time after Oyo State with 38.0%. The figures show that Abia outperformed wealthier or more industrialized states such as Lagos (69.4%), Rivers (56.7%), and even the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja (53.3%). In the South East region, other states recorded higher poverty rates: • Anambra: 41.4% • Ebonyi: 73.1% • Enugu: 50.2% • Imo: 46.7% This data paints a clear picture of Governor Orji Uzor Kalu’s economic legacy, particularly in education, health, agriculture, sports, poverty reduction, rural development, and empowerment programmes. During his administration (1999–2007), the state invested heavily in roads, agriculture, and small-scale enterprises – all of which contributed to improving household incomes and reducing economic hardship across the state. The government’s pro-business stance, attention to infrastructure, and human capital development played key roles in the state’s progress. Also, Orji Uzor Kalu’s focus on decentralizing development through the “Rural Development Initiative” helped bring economic opportunities closer to the grassroots. More than a decade later, the state’s poverty rate unfortunately worsened – rising to 50.2% in 2009–10. Nonetheless, the data from 2003–04 remains a testament to what focused, accountable leadership can achieve. It also serves as a benchmark for current and future administrations in Abia State and beyond. While many Nigerian states battled widespread deprivation and underdevelopment, Abia State stood apart as a beacon of progress. This was not accidental. It was a direct result of focused, people-centered governance championed by Governor Orji Uzor Kalu in some critical sectors. Investment in Infrastructure Governor Kalu’s administration implemented an ambitious road revolution, constructing and rehabilitating over 150 roads across urban and rural communities. These included: • Urban roads in Aba: Cameroun Road, Ojike Lane, Ehere Road, Umuola Road, All Saints’ Academy Road. • Umuahia township roads: Aguiyi-Ironsi Layout, Okigwe Park, Nkwerre Road, Olokoro Street, Timber Road, Eze Ogbulafor Road, among others. • Strategic rural roads: Owaza-Obehie-Azumini Road (Ukwa East), Abiriba Ring Road, Ebem-Asaga-Ndi Ibe-Amuma-Okon-Amangwu Road (Ohafia), Umuikea-Omoba Road, and others. • Igbere Community roads: Central School Road, Amankalu Road, Golf Road with drainage, and Umuobasi Road. These projects eased movement of goods, reduced transportation costs, and enhanced access to remote areas, spurring economic growth. Education Revolution Governor Kalu declared free education at all levels, setting Abia apart from most Nigerian states. His administration: • Renovated 821 dilapidated schools. • Constructed 524 new classrooms. • Provided 155,000 desks and 1,700 teachers’ chairs. • Supplied 1,800 first aid boxes and thousands of instructional materials. • Updated school curricula to include Igbo, Agricultural Science, Physical and Health Education. Tertiary institutions like Abia State University (ABSU) received buses, 500KVA generators, new hostels, and uninterrupted subventions. Enrollment skyrocketed and literacy levels improved significantly. Health Care Development Kalu established the Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH) in Aba and constructed 15 General Hospitals, ensuring every zone of the state had access to quality medical services. These moves directly impacted maternal and child health indices and contributed to life expectancy improvements. Sports Development The administration turned Enyimba FC into a continental powerhouse, winning the CAF Champions League back-to-back in 2003 and 2004. Infrastructural support such as the Aba and Umuahia Township Stadia was provided, making Abia a sporting hub. Agricultural & Youth Empowerment Initiatives Governor Kalu believed that agriculture held the key to ending rural poverty. His government: • Established farm settlements and agricultural plantations to boost food security. • Launched the Youth Empowerment Scheme (YES) to equip youths with vocational and business skills. • Distributed farm inputs and grants to rural women, artisans, and farmers, especially in local government areas. Public Utilities and State Buildings Notable capital projects completed include: • Okpara Auditorium – the biggest civic center in the region at the time. • Aguiyi-Ironsi Conference Centre, Legislators’ Offices, and Commissioners’ Quarters. • Housing estates across the state to reduce homelessness. • Joint Allocation Committee Building for LG transparency. • Abia House in Abuja and staff quarters in Lagos and FCT for state employees. These structures enhanced governance and boosted Abia’s visibility at the national level. A Legacy Etched in Steel and Cement The numbers from the NBS weren’t coincidental — they were a manifestation of vision, hard work, and a deep commitment to the people. From health to education, agriculture to roads, and sports to economic empowerment, Kalu’s era in Abia remains a benchmark for what’s possible in public service. As Nigeria continues to search for models of developmental leadership, the Kalu years in Abia offer a roadmap of inclusive growth, proving that with the right priorities, poverty can be defeated and prosperity can be shared.
