It is no news that Hon. Ikwechegh has unapologetically continued to make significant strides in the National Assembly, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills that exceed expectations and diligently addressing the needs of his constituents in Aba North and South.

His numerous achievements span infrastructure development, education, and empowerment. Notable projects include:

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT: Road rehabilitation and expansion, provision of over 15 electricity transformers, and installation of over 1500 solar-powered streetlights ².

EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT: Awarding scholarships to over 200 students, providing educational materials to schools, and training programs for over 5,000 individuals in various trades.

HUMANITARIAN SUPPORT: Distribution of food palliatives, relief materials, and free petrol and kerosene to thousands of residents.

Hon. Alex Ikwechegh Mascot's commitment to his people is evident in his actions, and his constituents have taken notice. He is indeed a "golden egg" that has no hiding place, shining brightly in the world of Nigerian politics.

Chijioke Chukwu: The Disgruntled Schizophrenia Victim And His Failed Fallacy.

Embittered by his disgraceful retirement in the 2023 election, occasioned by the unforgivable imbroglio termed "representation" by the Paedophile Chijioke Chukwu in Bende North State Constituency, and subsequently compensated with NWDC Appointment, it is regrettable to mention that Chijioke Chukwu, a frustrated bitter puppet has refused to heal and move on.

Chukwu, who has perfected his role as a hopeless attack dog to his present benefactor whom he shares almost same age with, has shamelessly prioritized throwing tantrums and launching media attacks against those he once benefited from. His constant media attacks against notable names beyond Abia APC compels the impression that the bitter paedophile was never interested in his position as an NWDC member.

Having abandoned his statutory responsibility just few weeks after screening, the most incompetent ex-lawmaker ever produced by Bende North, has been seen severally on various radio stations working hard to validate an appointment that has nothing to do with his benefactor's input. An assignment some inconsequential minions have tried to establish and failed excruciatingly.

Chijioke Chukwu's puerile outburst against everything he perceives undoubtedly reflects the mind of an incurable sadist, set out for self-destruction.

It is important to reiterate that Hon. Nnanna's meritorious appointment remains a deserved reward of a healthy relationship, preparedness and capacity by Mr President without any input whatsoever from those arrogating to themselves the powers of legislature, executive and even judiciary.

Sen. Kalu Enlightens Opposition, Clears Air On Road Construction And Allocations, Reiterates Commitment To Infrastructural Development Across Abia North.

He Revealed:

The comparisons on the roads I attract in my constituency, Abia North Senatorial Zone with federal roads and state roads need to stop. I am sure a lot of these comparisons are borne out of ignorance. For instance, Nigeria roads are divided into grade A, B, C, D and E roads.

A lot of my constituents do not understand how I am able to build several roads in my constituency; a feat that is definitely not easy considering the scarce resources. Some federal roads (Grade A) gets allocation between N3 Billion to N6 Billion for one kilometer same as some State roads( Grade B ) Meanwhile the roads I attract to my constituency goes as low as N200 Million to N250 million for a kilometer. I have to appeal and force the contractors to go as far as asphalting the roads even at that cost. We should be realistic in our comparisons and also be thankful to the president for providing every necessary support in providing social amenities in our constituency.

Redefining Legislation Through Outstanding Projects, The Ifeanyi Uchendu Example.

There is no gainsaying that leaders who truly understand what it takes to transform society are rare and scarce. Fortunately, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu is one of them. As a two-term member of the Abia State House of Assembly, representing Ohafia South State Constituency, Uchendu redefined legislation through his purposeful and people-oriented policies and programs.

Congratulations to former President Ibrahim Babaginda on the launch of his book which among other things provided the platform for an open declaration, validity and sanctity of the June 12, 1993 Presidential elections won by Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola (MKO). We still await the Part 2 of this book where more truths will be revealed.

My vivid recollection of the mindset and motivation of MKO is all about humanity. Therefore a major requirement for a classical hero is not only immortalization but by recognition which should include proper position in the hall of Fame.

Hon. Dr. Nnanna Uzor Kalu was equally a member of Tinubu's party (AD) therefore both shared good relationship beyond that era until this very appointment.

Let it be on record that Ben Kalu who is hopelessly seeking undeserved relevance has nothing to do with Nnanna Uzor Kalu's appointment as Member Of The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC).

In his usual ambitious style of politicking, He (Ben), brought Obinna Osisiogu as his preferred candidate who unfortunately didn't scale through as President Tinubu demonstrated his sagacity once again.

It is pertinent to publicly and unequivocally state that Hon. Dr. Nnanna Uzor Kalu has equally been at the green chamber for 8 years and therefore earned his appointment.

Former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu has commiserated with the family of the late Leader of Pan Niger Delta Forum, Pa. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON, who passed on at the age of 97.

He noted that the late politician served Nigeria and Niger Delta meritoriously in different positions.

How Orji Uzor Kalu Championed Agricultural Development In Abia — Ex-SSG Dr Eme Okoro

Former Secretary to the Abia State Government (SSG), Dr. Eme Okoro, has shed light on how former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu made efforts to boost agriculture during his administration.

Dr. Okoro made this revelation in an exclusive interview with Vanguard, where he lamented the persistent neglect of the agricultural sector by Nigerian leaders.

When asked if he was impressed with the attitude of Nigerian leaders toward agriculture, Dr. Okoro expressed deep disappointment, stating that both the federal and state governments had failed in agricultural development.

Dr. Okoro recalled that during Kalu’s tenure as governor, his administration actively demonstrated the potential of cassava by baking bread with cassava flour as an alternative to wheat. He explained that cassava could be processed into chips, ethanol, and other valuable products, yet the sector remained underdeveloped due to poor leadership.

“Agriculture employs over 68% of Nigeria’s population, yet we are nowhere in developing the sector,” he added.

Dr. Okoro revealed that he had advised several governors on policy planning deficiencies, but Orji Uzor Kalu was the one who took his advice seriously.

“Orji Uzor Kalu decided to listen to me and mandated that every Local Government Area (LGA) in Abia State should cultivate 10 hectares of cassava. One hectare of cassava can produce enough stems for 10 hectares the following year. Imagine how many hectares of cassava each LGA could have cultivated by now,” he explained.

According to him, this initiative could have created a vast network of cassava processors, leading to industrial growth. He also highlighted his role in introducing Tenera oil palm to Abia State, a variety known for its high yield and economic value.

Sen. Kalu's In-law, Chief Sunday Okafor, Laid To Rest In Enugu Ukwu Anambra State.

The remains of my Father in law, Late Chief Sunday Okafor ( Whuum of Enugu Ukwu) who died on February 3, 2025 was laid to rest today in his hometown Enugu Ukwu, Anambra State . As I reflect on his life, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. He wasn’t just an amazing in law , he was an incredible human being. His love, wisdom, and strength continue to guide us, and his memory is a source of comfort and inspiration. Even though he’s gone, his spirit lives on in those he touched, and his legacy will always be a part of us.

As I wish the soul of my father-in-law to rest in peace, I wish to also thank all those who, one way or the other took part in the low key ceremony we held in his honour and in accordance to his wish. My sincere appreciations to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Soludo; Governor of Enugu State Barrister Peter Mbah ; Senator Victor Umeh; Senator Uche Ekwunife, the Catholic community of St. Francis Catholic Church Urunebo Enugu Ukwu amongst many others.

Former Abia State Governor, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of elder statesman and Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo.

In a heartfelt condolence message on Friday, Senator Kalu described Pa Adebanjo as a patriotic leader, a strong advocate for democracy, and a symbol of national unity.

Politics apart, the prospect of seeing Enyimba Hotels Aba come to life excites me.

As an indigene and resident of the larger Aba, the historical and economic implications of having a functional Enyimba Hotels Aba are not lost on me.
Administrations will come and go, but certain defining features of a place will endure.

It is in this context that I see these pictures of the Abia State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ikechukwu Uwanna Esq signing documents with people from Radisson Blu Hotels for Enyimba Hotels, Aba.

I hope and pray this project sees the light of day. We have seen agreement signing events for this hotel project before now. I hope this one works.

There may be questions about financial details of the project. Another major issue is the resolution of the scheme of ownership of the hotel between the Abia State Government and the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA), but the truth is this...if Otti pulls off this project, it will be to his eternal credit and remembrance.

Kalu, a former governor of Abia State and the current senator representing Abia North, had stated that his focus remains on delivering good governance rather than engaging in discussions about the 2027 elections.

Speaking on his priorities, Kalu said: “My focus right now is not on the politics of 2027 but on the people of Abia North Senatorial District and how to improve their lives because there is hunger in the land. I can’t be talking about politics when my people are hungry.

“Though I appreciate all the endorsements from our people at home and abroad, we still have the mandate given to us in 2023.

“My priority at the moment is to deliver more dividends of democracy, put smiles on the faces of my people, and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other patriotic Nigerians in tackling the issues affecting the progress of our great nation.”

However, in a sharp response, Rev. Ubani dismissed any possibility of Kalu stepping aside, declaring that Abians would not accept such a move.

According to Ubani, Kalu remains the best thing to happen to Abia State and Abia North, emphasizing that the people of the state are pressuring him to seek re-election.

“Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has proven himself as a leader who prioritizes the welfare of his people. He has brought development, infrastructure, and good governance to Abia North and beyond. The entire state is forcing him to run again, and we won’t accept any decision to step aside,” Ubani said.

The remarks by both men have sparked fresh political conversations in Abia North, as stakeholders and residents continue to debate Kalu’s future in the Senate. While some applaud his commitment to governance over early politicking, others, like Rev. Ubani, believe his leadership remains indispensable to Abia’s progress.

The Ohafia Youth Forum (OYF), a non-partisan organization, has urged Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu, the immediate past Deputy Speaker, Abia State House Of Assembly, to consider running for Arochukwu-Ohafia Federal Constituency election come 2027.

The call was largely based on Uchendu's impressive track record of representation during his previous stint in office, particularly in Ohafia South.

Impressed by Uchendu's initiatives, philanthropy and wealth of experience, the group insisted on its call for the Immediate Past Deputy Speaker to join the race adding that his annual tradition of academic empowerment through scholarships, free WAEC and JAMB registration exercise, community development interventions and human capital development in Ohafia LGA and beyond, stands him out as an "Ideal" Candidate for the position.

The group however affirmed that his past representation which was accompanied by immense dedication and commitment to the welfare of his constituents, has undoubtedly placed him ahead of other candidates, urging Hon. Uchendu to declare his interest. The OYF acknowledged his ability to drive positive change and his willingness to listen to the needs of his community.

According to the group, "if he decides to run, he will likely face stiff competition. However, his track record characterized by Immeasurable projects which meritoriously earned him the title "Mr Project" remains an empirical indication that he would be a strong contender to watch out for in 2027."

Recall that beyond the insistence by (OYF), Hon. BREAKING: Sen. Kalu Emerges Chairman South East Development Commission (SEDC).

The Senate has announced Senator Orji Uzor Kalu APC, Abia-North as the substantive pioneer Chairman of the newly created South East Development Commission ( SEDC ) , one of the Regional Development Commissions signed into law by President Bola Tinubu.

Prior to his new appointment which was made by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during today's plenary, the former Abia Governor chaired the Senate committee on Privatisation.

Senator Ken Eze ( Ebonyi Central ) was also appointed as the vice chairman of the committee, Akapbio also noted that other members of the committee will he announced in due course.

With this development Kalu who also chaired the screening ad hoc committee on regional development commissions of the North West and South East is expected to lead other members of the committee to conduct oversight of the South-East Development Commission to achieve its laid down objectives some of which include; Civil restitution, tackling of erosion, restoration of security, infrastructure among others.

Also recall that the Senate confirmed the board membership of the SEDC after considering the report of Senator Kalu.

The 18 members are led by Dr. Emeka Nworgu, were also confirmed as Chairman and Hon. Mark Okoye as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Others are Ugochukwu H. Agballah, Hon. Okey kzenwa, Chief Hyacinth Ikpor, Chidi Echeazu, Ifeanyi Agwu, Nasiru Usman, Hamma Adama Ali, Kumo Edward David Onoja and Orure Kufre Inima.

He Expressed Sadly:

With a heavy heart and humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing on to eternal glory of my father -in-law , Chief Sunday Okafor ( Whuum Of Enugwu Ukwu Na Umunri)
aged 79 years.

He was the beloved Father of my dear wife, Mrs Ifunanya Uzor Kalu

He passed away peacefully today following a brief illness

He was a bold, courageous, fearless, and selfless man who was committed to the service of God and humanity.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him
