Ibo is not an insult, non Igbos find it hard to pronounce Igbo, it is an official alternative spelling just like favor = American English while favour is British. Deliberate Corruption of word is one thing but inability to pronounce is another, you will obviously find it hard pronouncing Russian in fact at first I used to pronounce Seun with an S like snake until my friend who had lived in Yorubaland said it is Sh more like Sheun if I had to go the Igbo or English way lol
