You don't kill a corpse you will also contribute for its burial, it's counterproductive.

Are you now saying we have Igbos in SE only? If you rush to help scrap the 13% derivation, you affect the Igbo speaking communities in Rivers and Delta that have been benefiting from it.

You wouldn't be helping Asaba as a capital city with Ifeanyi Okowa as a governor and PH as a city with Wike as a governor, if you start campaigning for a cause that will result in decreased fund for them to develop those two cities Ndiigbo have big presence in.

The only way SE will be seen campaigning against 13% derivation is if we have finally accepted the falsehood that Igboland started and ended in SE.
SE Ndiigbo wouldn't be endearing ourselves before our Delta and Rivers Igbos who are well represented in Ohanaeze, if we are seen championing for a cause that will rob them of the proceeds from their crude oil in this harsh economic climate. We will only end up alienating them further, and this will not be helpful in our long term vision of uniting all Igbo speaking people under one region.

Let the 13% derivation be, it's to our advantage that it exists, We are doing just fine even with the 13% there, our region is the nearest to those13% states, any excess money they get always end up trickling back to us indirectly, let the North worry about the 13% ish, Ondo is benefiting from it too, so I don't see the Yorubas opposing it any time soon.
beautiful submission! Kudos sir

I usually don't comment on this section of Nairaland but I think I just must comment NOW. Am a proud Rivers (Emohua) son and I want our igbo brothers 2 UNDERSTAND that there r many IMPOSTORS on dis thread. We SS should ensure dat our alliance with SE is protected and sustained. SS/SE people are interwoven historically, geographically and culturally. Any misunderstanding should be handled with maturity and restraint on both sides. Regarding Biafra, I reserve my comments.
dis is xcellent! My thots exactly, word 4 word!!

superstar1:
For 3days some jobless youths under the auspices of IPOB or Ipod were busy having early morning jogging exercise in the name of clamouring for the release of a rebel that they call the Supreme Leader of Biafra-ud, the Ayatollah of Biafra-ud, the Lunatic Albino god of Alaigbo aka The Dilector the 1st online president of Biafra-ud and the 3rd President of the imaginary country, that is being held for treasonable offence, in the dungeon of DSS where he is eating uncooked beans.

During this period, markets were closed, the right of other road users were infringed upon by the joggers, businesses were forced to close down against the business owners volition and some states were on the brink of breakdown of law and order, if not for the commendable restraint the military exercised in the face of treasonable provocation.

It is quite surprising that the jogging exercise stopped almost as immediately as they started. Where are the joggers? How can you be tired of your jogging exercise after just 3days.

Where are the joggers?

It appears that there is an unknown bond between President Buhari and the Tundes!

Buhari - Tunde Idiagbon

Buhari - Tunde Fashola
