proeast: Producing a medical doctor in the 19th century or watching television before France means nothing in real terms. The missionaries first arrived Lagos, then Abeokuta before reaching out to other parts of Nigeria. Likewise, returnee slaves from America and the West Indies settled in Lagos just like how others settled in Liberia which made those immediate communities to have early exposure.
By the time the same missionaries arrived Onitsha and other areas in the East, educational enrollment in those areas spiked and by the 1950's it surpassed other areas of Nigeria.
Watching television before people in France or having educated people before others does not mean anything. It means a whole lot, 80% of your stars are made in yorubaland, whose enlightened mindset allow for other tribes to dwell safely and thrive in their chosen vocation. Next to America or Europe is Lagos or anywhere in West to the igbo youths. How many other tribes go east to make fortune? |

Shameless people who don't know what they want. The day you see Igbos campaigning for unity with you lots, let me know why Shameless? Your myopic zik joined the North (turned his back to his christian brother), who deceived him to accept a puppet president position, thus denying us and his own people the freedom you now want. The yoruba soldier that joined in the campaign was wickedly killed in cold blood by Ojukwu. Your plight is blamed on Yoruba and Awolowo. You shameless idiots read wrong history or are wrong people yourselves. You won't allow awolowo to rest in heaven and whinning to his people on earth condemning the North that outsmarted your overcelebrated zik. |

proeast: The only thing that is helping to prop up Nigeria and make it to have a semblance of nationhood is the Igbos.
Without the Igbos in northern Nigeria, the region will have the same laid-back atmosphere that characterizes most Sahel areas like Niger and Chad. Without Igbos in Western Nigeria, the zone will still be so uninspiring like Benin republic.
Igbos made those areas commercially viable and the hardwork and aggressiveness they brought into the polity is what is rubbing off on others and inspires them to work harder.
Imagine for a moment, how would places like Abuja, Lagos, Jos and P.H. be like without the Igbos? That's a food for thought. Nonsense my village produced a medical doctor in year 1898 Dr.Orisadeyi Obasa. The west started using television even before France. Ajayi Crowther taught your forebears to write their own alphabets. What enlightenent are you offering? |

selemempe: once Akwa ibom completes there deep sea port...we Igbos will rather move there than move to Lagos. They are our blood. We have always been in the same country with them through Aro confederacy before Nigeria was created by a prostitute and a dumb soldier. And you know that Igbos are development oriented...so expect to see AI transform once Igbos key into it...and it would mean that in event of Nigeria breakup, we can convince Akwa-cross to come with Biafra. Highest we can allow their uyo to be the capital city. Yoruba would say, 'if heaven is so sweet, why are masqurades coming into world?' Your igbo land is so good that is why you can't stay there and disturbing others in their own lands. Walahi, igbos are real incurable parasites in nigeria. They owe every tribe their sustenance and the e - diots are beating chests of ill - gotten wealth. In the name Amadioha go to your land. |

Kobojunkie: Are you sure I am not perfect yet? I love my neighbors(including my enemies, all zero of them) as I would myself.
What about Grace? I am not striving for grace because I got the Grace of God when I was made, and the Grace of Christ when I became born again. Like I said, doctrines are weird, and toxic.
God does not require anyone to be faultless(the Spirit of God is the one who handles that as long as we submit to His process) but He does require everyone to obey His commandments and His commandments alone. To enter the Kingdom of God, without exception, we all have to be born again and do works of righteousness. No one gets a pass on that either. So you are perfect in the absolute. no one can find any fault with you, that is interesting. |

Kobojunkie: Jesus Christ called Judas and we all know what Judas chose instead. I don't judge Paul. I only hoped that so many are not blinded by his "teachings" that they choose to disregard the commandments of Jesus Christ in the name of Paul.
Just because a person is called does not mean the person is "justified". No, it does not. That is why we ought to set our eyes on the one that matters and that is Jesus Christ.
Since many people see his letters as "Teachings" I stay clear of mentioning them so I don't fall into a doctrinal whole when trying to show what God says about any issue. Your Bible still have his writings anyways or have torn or cellotaped them? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Living The Fasted Life by MightySparrow: 5:29am On Jul 12, 2020 |
Kobojunkie: I don't believe I would have done the same, no. Because if he indeed did this, he helped create the problem that is Christianity today... a world church that is not of God at all. We are talking of a world church that runs almost entirely on doctrines and traditions that have absolutely nothing to do with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ warned vehemently against this. That is why the other apostles stayed away from such. I find it hard that someone with the Spirit of God leading and instructing Him would do this, against Jesus Christ's own teaching. Almost all church doctrines seem to have their roots, not in Jesus Christ's own teachings but in Paul's. Have you noticed that? Yet, you can't judge him, jesus himself called him and he's accountable to him. Apart from this do you still find other of his writings useful? |

Kobojunkie: I have benefited from some ministries in my past too. But I will never vouch for anyone in that many no matter what I may have gained from said ministry. When I went to find God, I automatically assumed He would be found in a church. He spent all of 2017 teaching me that He was nowhere in the church, or in the people I thought were strong in Him. God made me read the bible and used me to correct even pastors and deacons in a popular church. At one point, I thought what was wrong with me, You are not perfect either as all of us are striving and asking for grace. So, to many who know you, you still have some faults. We all have! |
Christianity Etc › Re: Living The Fasted Life by MightySparrow: 5:17am On Jul 12, 2020 |
Kobojunkie: I won't say that because some of what I do agree with, given my own experiences. But there are so many questions. My suspicions are that his actual letters were edited. E.g 1 Corinthians 14, after the verses talking of the gifts, ending with something like, "God is not a God of confusion," there seems to be an abnormal leap to chastizing women on speaking. And there are lots of disconnected ideas... disconnected from Jesus's teachings.... in the letters that make me wonder if his letters had been manipulated by some group who wanted to use his work to further their doctrine. If you were in his shoes you'd probably do same. The church of corinth had problem at that time, he had to put some measures to make the church stable. So when you hold leadership position, you want to avoid crises. I see your point. After he left, there had arisen great women in the ministry the founders of Foursquare, Apostolic faith, women evangelists etc. read his writings. |

God is not a liar... Jesus Christ, the word of God is the Truth. So, Yes, it is what Jesus Christ in fact taught. ... Paul is a liar |
