Only Paul made vow in the book of Acts in the New Testament and fulfilled it.

Till now, vows are still relevant and it is transactional.
If you love God give to him and his work. Most people criticizing tithing take an excuse for not giving to God. We learn tithing from Abraham, it preceded the Law and Moses incorporated it in the Law. In fact, if not for greed, a Christian should give more than tithe - ten percent.

In my church, I know how the tithe is being spent and transparently accounted for. I am not scammed if your pastor scams you, look for a honest pastor and ministry.

I traveled outside the country for 8 months now while my family is in Nigeria.

Now I will be returning to Nigeria next week. For this 7 months, I kept myself and did not mess around(slept) with any woman.

Where I come from, it's an abomination for any married woman to sleep with another man because of the dare consequences it has on the husband of the adulterous woman.

Now I'm coming back soonest,I'm scared if she has slept with another man and I was suggesting before sleeping with her to sit her down and ask her to sincerely tell me if she has fallen in my absence,so that necessary things(cleansing) can be done before I sleep with her.

On the other hand, I'm reasoning whether asking her such will cause a misunderstanding in the marriage.

I understand your fears but if you asked such a question, you would be starting WW3 in your home. No woman would admit to cheating even if caught in the act not to talk of something you can't prove.

However, pray about it very well before you can do anything with her for the reason of the consequences and stylishly throw a joke or a fabricated story about what could happen and watch her reaction.

Tithing is not a justification for wickedness nor self praise. You mentioned Sabbath, just as Sabbath was made for man and not man for Sabbath, tithing for made for man and not man for tithing. When your interpretation of tithing leads to evil just as their interpretation of Sabbath did, you are just as evil as they were.

Jesus condemned tithing?

Tithing started with Abraham, Jacob made it a vow. Moses incorporated it in his Law for the Levites.. ( Mind you the Law of Moses was different from the ten commandments). Abraham and Levites had one thing in common: God was their inheritance.

So, what has replaced prayer, wedding, sacrifice ( not redemptive by God, the kind that Cain and Abel did)?, covenant, baptisms, vows, circumcision?

In Hebrews, we are told even Levites paid tithe in Abraham. Now Abraham's faith was to give only ten percent. Jesus came to redeem us from the curse of the Law, an additional burden introduced by Moses and sin introduced by Adam and connected us to blessings of Abraham.
If it was necessary for Levites to have paid in Abraham, why?

Jesus corrected the idea of Sabbath, because He is the Sabbath Himself. He corrected the idea of divorce and didn't correct the idea of tithing. Why?
