I am 14 weeks 3 days gone. I have been on Antenatal but my hospital dont do antenatal classes and I am a first time mum. I am currently confuse because I dont know jack about taking care of baby - Even to wear diapers. Even the list of what to take to hospital and list of what to buy - I know no jack...Please assist me on how to deal with this....Do you know any good hospital I can just pay and register for classes in Lagos or even any online classes.
Please help a novice mum.
try register in a general hospital or a primary health centre around u; the experienced matrons there give adequate pre-natal lectures.u may still choose to deliver in ur choice clinic.
myrygurl: its been a while! A lot of pages to catch up..Sleep allowed me to finally reach the current page..Other days I sleep of while trying to read a page.. Motherhood is really an interesting hood...I have not had any decent sleep since los arrival, when lo's awake am awake, when lo's sleeping i rush to fix one or two things when am through about to take some rest and possibly sleep that's when lo is waking up... Pre delivery, i used to have almost the whole day to my self surfing and surfing the net but now I only get to go through my phone at night when we've retired for bed and lo will be sleeping as well...Its not easy I most confess but glory be to God to be part of this experience..
Big congrat to all the maamas that put to bed..May God bless your los..
I came across a maama asking for mice solution..if you are not afraid of cat then get one or two and keep as pet..I bet you those mice will vacate in no distance time..
Let me just jejely keep this phone and grab some sleep..
sorry mama. motherhood is indeed stressful bt d joy is indescribable. why don't u try fixing stuffs when baby is awake after feeding and then sleep while he/sleeps. on cat talk, yeee! i'll pass ma. lol. thanks all d same
Rats and mice are a special breed of vermin. One finally understands Tom's excessive dislike of Jerry, especially when your mice visitors decide to show up prancing up and down your curtains... in the living room... in front of your Guest... whom is meeting you for the first time in his life... from another, better-run country. Quelle Horreur!!
Not that it ever happened to me, bien sur.
Now, since you live on the ground floor and plugged all pluggables, you must accept one principle of Housing In Lagos: the ground floor of most apartment complexes are home to rats and cockroaches. So, either you move... ... Or you get one of those sticky glue traps, lay lots of paper in waste bins, add a sprinkling of old bread and surround the bin with glue trap and wait for those little bastards, I mean, les bebe Jerry's, to stick on them at night. Rats use routes along the edges of walls so either get them on their routes or their destination. I must warn you, a shrieking, struggling-to-free itself mouse cries at 76 decibel levels of sound. So be prepared.
Au voir, I'm off to write 2 blog posts and feel very sorry for myself: I ate chocolate fudge cake yesterday even though the world is melting down. And I feel so guilty now...
all noted! merci bien soeur. God bless u real gud.
bolubej: Mama pls come to my aid o. I have gone to the toilet countless number of times today. Pls what can i do
u may need to get urself to d hospital if u feel tired already. maybe u take ORS(oral rehydration solution) before leaving. if u don't feel tired yet, u can take plain gari with little water or bread as it is widely believed. it can also be an indicator to labour if u're due already or close. sorry, tis well wif u
jazzyjazz: Lol This is funny o I had this issue too when I was About 6 months pregnant. I and dh actually looked for the rat and killed it Took us hours, plus a very messy kitchen in the end
thanks sis for d response bt with the kind of damage 'they' do, I doubt it's just one mouse&we've had some killed

kweenkong: Good morning Mamas in the house please just noticed spotting this morning with no pain or discomfort . I am already 8 weeks now an I haven't done any scan hoping to that next week . Worried sick ,hubby saying I shouldn't worry but cant help it . Had a MC sometimes back. Apart from the usual breast tenderness, fatigue ,frequent urination and high temp I haven't had MS . Do I need to go to the hospital now or wait a while?
ordinarily, it could be implantation spotting bt going by ur history, it's safe to visit d hospital asap. good luck to u ma'am
edithodg: Good morning gallant mamas,I beg make una help me oooo,my EDD is 16th July and I have been having running nose for three days now, mean while doctor refuse to give me drugs. What do I do?
pele mama. try placing a hot towel on ur forehead towards d nose. u can do steam inhalation too. if u av no issues with ginger, u can also grate some, extract d juice wif hot water& add honey to it for drinking. this way, much of d phlegm will come out&then u feel some relief. hope this helps

[quote author=Damsel21 post=57759677]am not going thru any stress atall am on antibiotics thank u sis[/quote then it's emotional stress like u said-depression. as for d counsellor, maybe u state ur location so dt mamas here can help out. in d mean time, pls just try make urself happy; yes it may b difficult bt u alone can do it for u. dream &fantasize abt wen u'll be having children around ur table&all.
Damsel21: Hello everyone how was ur day.Alhamdulilah am getting better day by day jst having some questions 1,is it normal to fell weak and still spot sometimes after evacuation? 2,I still experience lower abdominal pain sometimes is it normal? Wen I complain abt d spotting to my doc h said it's normal but am scared after 3consecutiv evacuation. It's almost a week now and am still feeling dizzy and weak, what shld I do? More importantly how do I overcome depression am feeling so depressed and unhappy
pele. for d pain, i think it's nt too unusual as u went fru a surgical procedure bt let ur doc know when it's becomes unbearable; u shd av pain relief drugs in ur meds.also, hope u're feeding well, I mean getting all nutrients plus fruits&lots of water cos it's most likely u av antibiotics in ur post-evacuation meds&it cld weaken plus other things involved in d process. u also need REST; u know stress was a big player in what led to d loss. pls rest more&try think abt things dt can make u happy or stay wif ppl who love u&show care since u need it nw. tis well.
Giddyperson: Would they cut you open to do the arm implant? I think this injection is the most friendly for me, who is the injection and how reliable is it
u may see this video on d implant insertion & then read further on it.
MoyosBlog123: Good evening house. Pls how can I tackle backpain in pregnancy. Am only 26+3days preg. Its as if I want to spilt into two. The pain is not funny at all. Help with remedies pls. #Teamseptember cc' all mamas
sorry mama. can u identity d cause or wat triggers it? hope u're nt stressed. wchever way, try resting in a comfortable position; preferably on ur left side with a pillow between your knees to reduce the strain on your pelvis and lower back. u can also use a hot/cold compress on it for 15-20 mins. hope u don't bend ur back too, train to bend ur knees instead
frenchwine: Mademoiselle, milk is here and there with regards heartburns. In some persons it worsens the pain and in others it relieves. So saying'best remedy' is a relative thing.
you're right. indeed relative; milk worsens it for me while spicy or minty food items give relief.
perfectcrown: Gdmrng mothers. Trust every1 is doing great? Sharp sharp delivery to us all in Jesus Name!
Pls ders smting dat has bn an issue to me. When i was breastfeeding my first baby,i couldnt take foods like milk, fish, crayfish, okro, eggs cause if i do,i'll have HIVES RASH all over my body. Der was a night dat hubby had to rush me to d hosp very late in d nyt cus i was covered with HIVES RASH! The only thing dat helped a bit was a medication called BENADRYYL but i cldnt take it for long cus of my baby. Well it all stopped 7months into breastfeeding.
I've been so afraid dat it shld not repeat itself in dis 2nd breastfeeding cus ive bn enjoying all d listed food above snc 2016 only for dis hives rash ro surface three dats ago wen i never evn born or start breastfeeding.
I dont kn if any mother has exprienced dis. Its so so annoying dat i cant eat all dos while breatfeeding. I dnt kn wat to do.
Pls your inputs will be appreciated.
Pls dnt jump and pass. Biko heeeellllp!!!
I don't know&can't say abt d causes u observed bt ppl swear by 'Epiderm' for such condition. u may jst av to be careful enough to buy d original. maybe u check standard pharmacies if u're interested. do all av a fruitful day mamas.
of course millions of those are always available (all things being equal) bt d woman's ovaries must av produced more than one egg /a fertilised one divides for multiples to occur &d woman's body must also be capable of carrying to term.
PaperLace: Lols. Only (prospective) tyrannical dads have this paranoia... I am closer to my dad_ at the rate my husband is going, I won't be surprised if our kid(s) are closer to him. If I tell them to go buy me something, from there they'll reach Crunchies fast-food and start sending me selfies. I won't see them, nor what I requested _for an hour+.
On this same NL, we have seen lots of men say their own is to provide money. I have seen one say he can never bathe or feed his kids, forgetting that's the best time to bond with them.
Some Nigerian men would never take their wives for antenatal. They don't know how to bathe a child or wear a diaper. When mummy isn't around, the whole house will be in disarray.
You think kids are blind? The earlier y'all get it into your heads that fatherhood is beyond paying school fees, the better. Mummy works too, manages the home and still bonds with the kids. You don't have an excuse.
I have never seen kids neglect a good dad, except they're bewitched or plain stupid. Proud Daddy's Girl
a million likes for u ma'am. d typical african men just don't get it&it's to their detriment. like u said, mothers combine it all, Y can't they too since they're super heroes like they claim. #proud daddy's girl here
hello mamas! hope we all had a fab day. please can anyone direct me to pharmacies where I can get any of these two: - TACROLIMUS BD - PIMECROLIMUS I know a mama here who owns a pharmacy in Lag bt can't recall her username. thank u all; greetings to our generals.do av a pleasant night.
Pidgin2: I paid N500 to enter, I think the price fluctuates between N200 and N500. If you go there with someone that speaks English with a foreign accent or who speaks a foreign language make sure you do the talking because they may increase the price due to this but if you converse in your Nigerian accent they will not cheat you. It's a nice place to visit. Good luck
thank u so much ma'am. I appreciate ur response. one more pls, did u visit 'whispering palms? if u did, how was it?
