@ I HACKED and ALL. it's been a while my friend, just chilling. i guess lackadaisical attitude towrds research is our problem. maybe dstv juju is catching up with us. while we argue, they are making more money. first, it was a G group or so thing hiding facts from others, now unwarranted baseless arguement. we are now like a lake flowing nowhere. guess some people have a backdoor approach to "so much more" or watching uk channels. guess this forum is heading for the rocks. if i can't beat them i'ld rather leave them. god bless you all!

@all pls bear with me for asking thes question. from the info on satstar.net, both 16 degree east (sub-sahara africa beam) & amos 5 @ 17 degree east(west central & east africa beam) is trackable using 50cm dish.
1. can i use one lnb on a 50cm dish to combine both, considerin the dish sizes needed.
2. any other working tp as the satlink tp on both lyngsat & flysat refuse to turn green.

@all do we all still have the interest of hunting birds at heart?

@ALL no one is talking about nigcomsat any more. from what i learnt it ought to have started broadcasting last month but up till now no news. has it fallen out of the outer space again?

@all every facility that is being run by nigerian government always gives headache. biko my people, when will this nigcomsat1r be active. if na ordinary nta make dem put now! abi na so another tax payers sweat go vanish? please comment o.

sorry to get you guys irked by this cos i know it's a "detour", but i urgently need to buy a conical scalar ring and a 65mm lnb holder for a strong model c band lnb. i am in lagos, where can i get this and how much? my aim is to work on a strong model offset 90cm dish.

I don't know why only the french and arab speaking nations enjoy the best of fta. why are our so called "colonial master" stingy to extend their fta on astra 2b and freeview coverage to english speaking countries in africa just like the arabs are doing. why must i install 5meter dish to enjoy what the arab speaking nations install 90cm to enjoy. hmmm,

@gadator the sat 31.5 has been there for some months, i couldn't get it with 90cm from lagos nigeria. let's know the right size of dish to nail the bird.

Can one of the experts open a thread on c band installations, i mean setting up the lnb and inputing the frequencies on recievers with only V and H instead of R and L. I will appreciate it.
