Any agent telling you that something is going on presently at civil defence, immigration or custom is deceiving you because I went to abuja last week friday and I was at custom and civil defence office.D person I spoke with in civil defence to me that there are still some salaries that has not been paid with regards to the issue at hand and that hopefully by october recruitment can take place (but don't forget that oct might turn to next year as well) BTW,aint you tired of hearing today, tomorow, monday, next week, next month etc.

Ope4dtop: We ar waiting indeed.@paul obi,.don't hesitate to feed us back abeg o..
I don't like talking on dis tred esp wen wot I av to say has already been said by someone else hence no need for repetition. And I don't attack peoples info either cos as stupid as it may sound to you, that's wot they hear and dy deemed it fit to share it with d house so my advise is;visit d tred and take wot is useful for u instead of ranting, calling each oda names and hating.Sometimes I wonder if all of us here are graduate with d value of their words.
That beign said, either you like it or not things are happening. My friend received a text yesterday to come to abuja for her appointment letter for a federal civil service job and she went today. She was given d position of education officer ii.It was an honourable who gave her d form to fill, she did nothing, she did not que under d sun and rain. She wrote no text or interview. So wot am I saying in essence, pls let's not deceive ourselfs.Even if d so called general recruitment is announced today,it is still those that knows one or do ppl or those that settles their way around it dt will get a post.If u like be d first to fill d form.
But all in all,I pray to God that when d times comes it will never pass me by no matter wot.because my friends news makes me happy and sad.It makes me happy cos am happy for her cos she deserve it and it makes me sad cos I can't imagine d nos of youth dt que at d headquaters everyday under d sun and d rain just to get and submit dis same form dt my friend filled in d comfort of her room.

Fashion / Re: Nigerian Makeup Artists And Their Exorbitant Prices by mikanju: 10:43am On Nov 10, 2012
Onegai: Hmm, let's try thinking of this:

You train as a makeup artist. Most in Nigeria aren't well-trained, but pay minimum of N70,000 for bad training. Then buying your products (you have to have foundation to match any complexion, that's a minimum of N12,000 for 8 tubes, and then Mary Kay isn't that good, so to do a good job, you have to buy Black Up which is N10,000 a bottle. There's too much fake Iman on the market sold for N4500 per bottle). Then add in eyeshadows, a palette can be N8500 and that is the crap chinese stuff that irritates. So you spend minimum of N25,000 for more chinese stuff of slightly better quality. False lashes are N800 per packet (the good stuff which isn't heavy on the eye). We won't mention powders, blushes mascara, primers and skincare for all types of skins and complexions. Remember, all these products finish and expire, so they need replacement.
Then transport to the bride's house, first for trial and then for engagement and another day, white wedding, no matter how early or late the time. So that's usually cab fare. Calculate N3000 per trip.
Also, naija brides can waste time, so you can't do 2 weddings in one day. And then you have to wait for their mum, sisters or friends who want free makeup (as if you have products to dash).
You may say "oh well, why should I still pay so much?". Let me ask you this: which do you think you will use to remember your wedding, your menu, your hall venue or your pictures? And if it's pictures, do you wanna look your best in your pictures or do you want to look like your short-sighted sister did your makeup without her glasses? Why pay a photographer N150,000 when you look like a masquerade because you paid your MUA N40,000 for her wahala?
What do you think?

And so Are going to use all these things patapata on one client? Even if u are painting d whole gest sef That is just too ridiculus! And the truth is:some brides wld av looked better making up themselves than paying to look like a clown on their weeding day.Tcheeew! Professionals indeed!
