War is a bad situation and no sane person prays for it. But, what do people fear in war? Loss of lives, loss of properties, displacement. Which one is not happening in Nigeria right now? Are Nigerians not dying, not being displaced and properties like houses and farmland not destroyed? Are those threatening Nigerians with war not seeing the number that has gone in the graves? If Nigeria must work, killing by any group whether sponsored, imported from Mali or anywhere must stop. Invading or grabbing people's land must stop. You can't kill my loved one and expect me to love Nigeria as a united nation. Unity and bloodshed are two dangerous enemies. The Fulani must adhere to the modern standard of cattle rearing and see it as a personal business. The cattle is their shop and should be ready to pay for rent. Nomadic style is old, impossible, unjustifiable and ridden with violence. Land is very precious and no one would want to lose his. If we understand the property law very well, we will understand that every land is owned and the aim of the state is not to take it illegally. Whatever is in the land including the grasses are owned. Land is akin to home. How do you feel when someone invades your home? That is how the owner of the land feels. So what the fulanis are doing is totally wrong and has no defence in law. They can't continue killing innocent people so that communities or state governors will be forced to give them land in the name of making peace. Animals are owned for business or any other thing and it constitutes offence when they enter homes, farms or destroy crops. Nigeria government is aware of this and still encourages the ugly trend to escalate resulting into avoidable bloodshed. The height of it is the effrontery to kill a farmer whose land they have invaded and whose crops have destroyed. Freedom of movement does not connote moving animals around anywhere you like including farms, schools and offices not minding the health implications. No other country in the world takes this madness except Nigeria. The fulani leaders know that what their people are doing is evil but because the primordial Nigerian tribes are not united, it now becomes opportunity for the fulanis to take over the country. Nigerians have borne the burdens of allowing the fulanis to kill and destroy farmlands for too long and it must stop. Let the judiciary reinterpret the law protecting properties to fulani people because it's very funny that the same people we are begging to stop killing and destroying farms are warning us with war. Hmmm, this is Nigeria!

You are an advocate of hatred and fake news. Anything to paint the Fulani people evil is all you dig out. This is not what the Bible teaches we Christians to practice. The Bible admonishes we Christians to love our neighbors as ourselves. We don't have to blame every crime on Fulani's it's wrong. What is the evidence that this incident was committed by Fulanis? The killing of a man and his son by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Miango, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, has caused tension in the area.

The victims identified as Thomas Wollo, 46, and Nggwe Thomas, seven, were said to have been were attacked and beheaded by some herdsmen close to their home in Tafigana village, Bassa LGA, while returning from a choir practice at about 8.50pm on Sunday.


Our correspondent learnt that the gangsters disappeared into the bush after killing them.

It was learnt that the hoodlums also killed a woman in Ancha community, Bassa LGA, on Monday.

However, the identity of the deceased had yet to be ascertained as of the time of filling this report.

Spokesman for Miango Youth Development Association, Zongo Lawrence, who confirmed the Tafigana village killing, also said the hoodlums went to a nearby village in Hukke and destroyed farm produce worth millions of naira.


“Seventeen of our people have been killed by Fulani herdsmen this year,” Lawrence said in a statement.

“The international community should come to our aid; we are under heavy siege.”

The President of Irigwe Youth Movement, Mr Chinge Dodo, who also confirmed the attacks, told our correspondent in Jos on Monday that people in the areas had been living in fear of further attacks by herdsmen.

He said, “On Sunday two of our people were attacked and killed at Tafigana village in Mango District of Irigwe Chiefdom. I have just been informed this morning (Monday) that the Fulani herdsmen had moved to Ancha village and killed a woman.


“As a people, we are continuously under attack and nobody seems to be hearing our cry for help. It appears that killing our people has become a routine.”

Recently, i have been seeing some comments on Nairaland and these kind of comments increases day by day. It looks like the NL users responsible for this are sponsored by some politicians to cause havoc on Nairaland because the way they mention "Yoruba Muslim" "Yoruba Christian" , you will think something like that exist in real life. Some even go to the extent of creating new account with Yoruba names, call themselves Yoruba and start spitting lies, accusations, trying their best to divide the Yoruba nation along religion line.

They are dumb to believe that it is only the Muslims in SW that support APC or Buhari. They have said many funny, dumb, foolish and ludicrous things, some are "Yoruba muslim want to islamise SW" "Yoruba muslim is happy with Fulani herdsmen" "Yoruba Muslims are angry because Yoruba Christian is the VP" and more dumb things alike. These got me to think that if we still have this kind of dumb people like this in the country, how will this country move forward? None of these people can face a normal Yoruba man or woman in real life and tell him " Yoruba Muslims want to islamise you or it is only Yoruba Muslims supporting Buhari", he or she may be called a mad man or just get ignored or better still, receive a slap or two.

This made me to open this thread to highlight while their effort will be in futility.


1? An average Yoruba family consist of both Christians and Muslims. It is only in Yoruba land that you will have the Husband as a Muslim and the Wife as a christian and vice versa. For instance, i am a christian, my mum is a church worker, my dad is an Alhaji, i have siblings who are Muslims and i have some who are Christians, one of my sister is married to a deeper life member, with my Alhaji dad present at the wedding. How do these dumb people now expect us to start fighting each other? This is more than dumb. Even Pastor Adeboye, Oyedepo, Tunde Bakare, all of them will still have some Muslims in their family, so as for the Alfas in SW.


2)Lets now assume the whole family practices one religion, do you think a Yoruba man will pick a fight with someone because he practice
a different religion? An average Yoruba person is religious tolerant. The Yoruba are the only people in the country with diverse religion yet live peacefully. If you even look at the SW political scene, it is evident that Yoruba is one. APC leader Tinubu is a Muslim, his wife is a RCCG Pastor, Osinbajo, Sanwo Olu, Ambode are christains, Fashola a muslim, Aregbesola is a devoted Muslim, but you see that all these people roll well. We do not care what religion you practice, that is why SW is for everyone, that is why some set of people cannot stay in their region but troop to SW to enjoy this freedom of association and religion.


This is to educate the people writing about " Yoruba Muslims" "Yoruba Christian" to stop wasting their time, it is an effort in futility, it started on here and it will end on Nairaland. Yoruba is one.
