A chieftain of the People Democratic Party, PDP, in the Southwest, Honourable Ajala Somide yesterday described as fairytales the alleged defection to APC of former Aviation Minister, Chief Olufemi Fani-Kayode.

Somide noted that Fani-Kayode remains a loyal party leader and a strong pillar of the PDP who has been tormenting the ruling party, APC.

Recall that media reports yesterday suggested that the former aviation minister had defected to the ruling party after photos of him and the chairman of the APC reconciliatory committee, Mai Buni and Governor Yahaya Bello surfaced in a meeting surfaced.

But reacting to media reports, Chief Ajala Somide told VANGUARD that such reports are grapevine and mere speculation peddled by detractors who are scared of the formidable force of the PDP already in place to wrestle power from the APC come 2023.

He said “I can confidently tell you that Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is still in the PDP. He remains a loyal member and has not defected to the ruling party.”

“Why would he defect to the APC? What has APC got to offer him? He will not defect to the ruling party. He remains committed to the values of the PDP.” He stated.

Somide noted that Fani-Kayode hasn’t even said anything on the his political future and wonders why people are speculating on what next move he has in mind.

“Has he spoken to anyone that he has defected? Of course no. As a leader and statesman, he is free to associate himself with other leaders in the country across religion and party lines to build and move the country forward. Politics should not make one an enemy of another simply because they don’t belong to the same party.”
Recall that Vanguard had reported that Fani-Kayode said he was meeting the APC leaders to save Nigeria.

In a series of tweets, the former Aviation Minister, however, noted he will "never compromise his core values which he has held on to or betray the trust of the Nigerian people whom he had long fought for."

Reacting however to media reports making round on the defection, APC youth group described Fani-Kayode’s move as a welcome development saying he is an asset to Nigeria.

Meanwhile many Nigerians have reacted to the defection on social media with one Ogochukwu Amobi saying the warrior of the masses has gone.

He wrote, “ the defender and warrior of the common man has left us, who will now fight for us? We won’t give up” he concluded
One other wrote, “ you can’t trust Nigerian politicians, possible the Buhari govt is squeezing his balls”

As many Nigerians wait to hear what the former minister has to say about his political future, fingers are crossed as to how many more defections would happen before 2023.

A former lawmaker for the ruling party in Zimbabwe, ZANU PF, Hon. Luke Phibion Masamvu has died yesterday, January 31 in Zimbabwe’s capital town of Harare.

The former parliamentarian, who was a well-known businessman in Manicaland province was just 63 and left behind a total of 12 wives and 79 children.

Hon. Luke Masamvu’s close friend, Mr Misheck Mugadza, said: “We have lost an accomplished businessman, a family man and personal mentor.”

He lost his parliamentary seat after falling by the wayside during the 2018 ZANU PF primary elections.

Zimbabwe : FORMER ZANU PF legislator Luke Phibion Masamvu died yesterday in Harare from Covid-19-related complications.

He was 62 , he left behind 12 wives and 79 children.

Nine of his children obtained degrees at different universities. In 2020 a total of 10 were at universities. In the same year, four of his children were doing both O’ and A’ Level, Form Threes (5), Form Twos (six), Form Ones (5) while 25 of them were at primary level.

One of his children, Mike Masamvu was one of the best O’Level students in Zimbabwe. He scored 19As and a B in the 2019 November Zimsec examinations.

Mike’s other siblings Kenneth wrote 15 subjects and obtained 9 As and six Bs, while the other one, Kelvin, wrote 10 and passed six subjects.

What if really, we were sent to earth for behavioral assessment and at the end of time, God will come back to select the best behaved for life in eternity, where will you fall?


Adam, our first Father was not created to die, He surely lived for ages, fully exploring every corner of creation, bored, lonely, restless, tired of the routine or probably overwhelmed by daily communing with the creations of God.


And then Adam got Eve after a deep sleep, its easy to think Adam was acquainted with regular sleep already, so how long must deep sleep have been? Probably another ages before Father Adam got Mother Eve.


It's a shame couples of nowadays resort to divorce on terms of irreconcilable differences, who knows how long Mom and Dad were together, their honeymoon phase would have seemed like eternity, safe to say the agreeably irritating phase between both first couple would have been another eternity.


The fact that a serpent wooed Eve to eat the forbidden fruit is proof that Man and Animals shared special communication rapport for ages. And how long must Eve have suppressed temptations of the devil through various animals before eventually succumbing to the Serpent.

Since Animals came before Man, they're definitely aware of God's investment in Man.

Eve must have learned so much from the Serpent to an extent that She discovered how vital Adam is to the mysteries of creation. Armed with godlike knowledge but shorthanded with the ultimate creation- Man, Eve might have teased Adam for another ages until the compromise.


Prior to or after the deed had been done, Eve probably even advised the Serpent not to share certain facts with Adam, just so that He would always need Her. And once the forbidden fruit was eaten, there was no stopping man's innately unlocked curiosity and endless depravity.


As first humans, mistakes were bound to happen but Adam and Eve probably went as far to turn Garden of Eden upside down. Asides regular demon machinations, every conceivable abomination of today was definitely performed by our first couple, who evolved through ages of perverse curiosity and transfer tainted genes to posterity.


The universal Landlord arrived for another timely visit and was shocked by what starboy and babygirl have been up to. Coming to realize how far the couple had gone in all manners of knowledge, "Man had to die" so God pulled the plug on project Man and left it to self sustain on previously acquired grace.


Watchers (Angels) have been berated for having sexual relations with women, whereas they were likely seduced into the affair that led to giants roaming the earth. But who knows for how long man experimented with other creations before adding angels to the list of sexual conquests. Likely ages too.


Jesus came to offer Man another opportunity at Life of Perfection. He came to teach and deliver hope of eternal life before ascension, but what if He simply migrated elsewhere to propagate the divine love of God and keep creations in check. Another continent, another planet, another galaxy, another dimension, alternate realities.


Note: The origins of the modern calendar as we know it date back to the Roman times. Julius Caesar introduced the Julian calendar in 46 BC, which consists of 365 days with 366 in every fourth year.

Whereas Adam was recorded to have lived for 930 years, most likely post Eden years at that.

Just like Eve was recorded in to cater for female animals, such was expected when they had their 30 boys and 30 girls.
