Celebrities / Climate Caused 83% Of Decade's Disasters: Red Cross Report by MikePhilly(m): 2:50pm On Nov 17, 2021
Global actions to tackle climate change are currently failing to protect the people who are most at risk, the International Red Cross said in a report dated 17th November 2020, noting that over the past decade, 83% of disasters were caused by extreme weather and climate-related events.

A report by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) -- titled World Disasters Report 2020: Come Heat, or High Water -- shows that the countries most affected by climate-related disasters receive only a fraction of the funding available for climate change adaptation.

"Over the past decade, 83% of all disasters were caused by extreme weather and climate-related events such as floods, storms, and heatwaves," the report said.
Together, these disasters killed more than 410,000 people and affected a staggering 1.7 billion people and thus struggle to protect people from the aggravating effects of climate change, it added.

"Climate change is not for the future. Of course, things can get worse in the future, but it has already happened. And we can see that from the statistics; we are experiencing this almost daily," IFRC's Secretary General Jagan Chapagain told journalists at a virtual UN news conference.

"Our first responsibility is to protect communities that are the most exposed and vulnerable to climate risks."
He said IFRC research demonstrates that the world is collectively failing to do this.
"There is a clear disconnection between where climate risk is greatest and where climate adaptation funding goes. This disconnection could very well cost lives."
The failure to protect the people most vulnerable to climate change is especially alarming, given the steady increase in the number of climate and weather-related disasters.

According to the report, the average number of climate and weather-related disasters per decade has increased by nearly 35% since the 1990s.
The World Disasters Report said that massive stimulus packages currently being developed worldwide in response to the COVID-19 pandemic are an opportunity to address and reduce climate vulnerability.
A recovery that protects people and the planet would help reduce today's risks and make communities safer and more resilient to future disasters.

"Climate adaptation work can't take a back seat while the world is preoccupied with the pandemic: the two crises have to be tackled together," Chapagain said.
"We must significantly scale up investment in climate-smart actions that strengthen risk reduction and preparedness, alongside climate-smart laws and policies."

Celebrities / Food Waste On The Rise- Eiawithbenard Claims by MikePhilly(m): 1:48pm On Nov 17, 2021
Food waste has interestingly become one of the most pressing topics around the world today. With recent maneuvers to untangle the politics surrounding expiration date labeling; and re-directing excess food to where it’s needed most, food waste has far-reaching effects on several other issues facing our society, like climate change and food insecurity.

The positive side of this issue? There are endless things that we as eaters can do to minimize food waste, starting in our very own kitchens — and to start, here are five easy ways to reduce food waste.
***************************************
Plan Ahead

Before grocery shopping, make a plan. Think about the meals you’ll be cooking this week, the ingredients you’ll need to buy and what you already have in your kitchen.

Make a List

Better yet, make a shopping list with old-school pen and paper. This way, you’ll be less likely to pick up random items that may go to waste. Keep your shopping list nearby so that you can add items as you run out.

Be Realistic

Don’t buy more than you can eat, and be smart about sales. Can you actually eat all five watermelons on sale for the price of one? It’s not a bargain if you won’t be able eat it.

Shop small

If possible, avoid big monthly shopping trips and only buy ingredients for a few days. Not only will this reduce food waste, but you’ll also be eating fresher food that hasn’t spent weeks in the fridge

Share It

Feed edible food to people. Share extras with family, friends or coworkers, or donate it to the less privileged, before confusion sets in about expiration dates and/or unjustified fear of spoilage.

UNESCO, acronym for United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) that was outlined in a constitution signed November 16, 1945.

The constitution, which entered into force in 1946, called for the promotion of international collaboration in education, science, and culture. The agency’s permanent headquarters are in Paris, France.

UNESCO’s initial emphasis was on rebuilding schools, libraries, and museums that had been destroyed in Europe during World War II. Since then its activities have been mainly facilitative, aimed at assisting, supporting, and complementing the national efforts of member states to eliminate illiteracy and to extend free education. UNESCO also seeks to encourage the free exchange of ideas and knowledge by organizing conferences and providing clearinghouse and exchange services.

As many less-developed countries joined the UN beginning in the 1950s, UNESCO began to devote more resources to their problems, which included poverty, high rates of illiteracy, and underdevelopment.

LAWMA MD, IBRAHIM ODUMBONI URGES ‘USE NIGERIA TO SOLVE NIGERIA’S PROBLEMS’ AS HE HAILS TRUCKS MANUFACTURE, OTHER INNOVATIONS IN LAWMA; BAGS NAOSNP PUBLIC SERVICE PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR AWARD

The Managing Director/CEO of Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Mr. Ibrahim Adejuwon Odumboni has reiterated the significance of local content development to solving Nigeria’s multifarious problems. Drawing inspiration from the recent technological innovations in the waste management agency, he affirmed that Nigeria is able to solve her challenges internally and should not continue to look outwards. He stated this at the just-concluded National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) Conference and Awards 2021.

Affirming his belief in the Nigerian can-do spirit, Mr. Odumboni shared: ‘I am not a believer in getting everything outside Nigeria. Use Nigeria to solve Nigeria’s problems. The problem of Nigeria can only be solved in Nigeria. You can never solve your problem by using external companies. You cannot maintain what you have not created. The phone you have if it breaks down, there is no way you can fix it because we never assembled it.’

On the LAWMA success story, the trailblazer noted: ‘What we have done is to change a lot of how we do things. Recently, LAWMA was given 102 trucks designed and assembled with LAWMA’s contribution in Lagos. We changed the narrative by moving away from almost looking outwards to looking inwards. Everything we use in waste management in Lagos is now manufactured inside our yard including our trucks.’

‘It is over 3 months we got those trucks and I can stand to tell you that none of them have broken down because even the drivers that drive them know how to fix them. We have designed them such that they don’t look like any other in the world. They can look like compactor but they are not ordinary compactors, they solve all the problems. So the modern-day technology is to solve modern problem by local content so we need to continue to promote that’.

‘We fly drones in Lagos to know where wastes are and then we react to that. We are proactive. We decentralized ourselves and use the intelligence that we get around to manage what we do. We are ensuring sustainability in everything LAWMA is doing’, the LAWMA MD noted about the ongoing technological advancement in the agency.

Under the administration of the public administrator cum business consultant, LAWMA has been revived for sustainability and accountability with a technological twist and local support. ‘I have the privilege to manage this agency under the support of H. E. Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu. I have been saddled with the responsibility of managing the waste of over 25 million in Lagos - about 13,000 metric tons generated on a daily basis. I have over 41,000 formal and informal people helping in the waste sector and they have done a good job especially our policing team. We have our own policing team with over 450 that goes to ensure that when we clean up, by the time you come out, it can be sustained to some extent. Someone local can police – it is easy, cheaper, and easily verifiable as well. So it is very important that we do the right thing at the right time.’

Meanwhile, the man who has been at the helms of LAWMA since 2020 encouraged interagency collaboration among security agencies in Lagos. ‘We all need to work together. Working differently does not work. Working in silo can’t solve the problem. We can solve problem by engaging – it is cheaper, cost-effective, and sustainable. Security is everybody’s responsibility. You are responsible for the next person to you.’

Earlier, during the presentation of NAOSNP Public Service Personality of the Year Award to Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni, the Association's National President, Oki Samson described the LAWMA Managing Director, "Mr. Odumboni is a silent achiever, innovative CEO, a man of action; his cleaner Lagos advocacy drives and collaboration is very commendable," Oki noted.

The LAWMA Boss was acknowledged to a rapturous ovation as he bagged The Public Service Personality of the Year at the NAOSNP Conference and Awards 2021 which was held at NECA House, Alausa-Secretariat in Lagos. This award came in recognition of his towering efforts at ensuring a healthier and cleaner Lagos, as well as demonstration of excellence and innovation in waste management.

The prestigious national award was jointly presented to Mr Ibrahim Odumboni by the former Inspector General of Police, IGP Sir Mike Okiro, immediate past General Manager of LASTMA, Engr. Olajide Oduyoye; Corp Commander FRSC Lagos Command, Sector Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide and Director of Public Relations, NSCDC, DC Sola Odumosu.

Politics / Re: What Is Really My Purpose In Life? by MikePhilly(m): 2:12pm On Nov 16, 2021
I had a somewhat similar experience about 5months ago, whereby after 2 puffs of Colorado, I collapsed and dived into an unknown realm....inside the market zanga. When I was jolted back to this realm, I picked up like a car engine and started running and screaming "there's no time, I must serve God, forgive me God". People thought I had run mad. I eventually wrote "I will never smoke again".

To the glory of God, since baptism at Winners, I haven't smoked, nor engage in sexual sin in months. Even when the devil began harrasing me with sex dreams, I reported myself and agents of darkness to God through the mystery of the communion

God always works in the most mysterious way. Relax and rejoice, you have been selected for a glorious heritage in Christ

And I rededicated myself to God under Bishop David Oyedepo's Canaanland ministry, ever since then, about 5 months ago, it's been one story of grace to another. Omo you are about to encounter the journey of destiny, brace yourself up, lots of lessons to be learned. Pray every chance you get

My brother, to truly enjoy this divine lease of life God is giving you, try to abstain from sin, study your Bible well. Avoid all forms of sexual sin including premarital sex and masturbation.

Be prepared bro. The devil is now about to have special time to take you through hell but fear not, Christ has overcome for you and I. Rejoice bro

An article with the above headline was published in the CICERO column of THISDAY on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Under normal circumstances we would not respond to this write up given the fact that there appears to be a media frenzy going on right now about the fact that Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, the Saduakin Shinkafi, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

However, due to the fact that we hold your newspaper in very high esteem and have immense respect for your editorial team and publisher, we felt it was appropriate to set the record straight and disabuse the minds of your readers with a clarification and short response.

For the record, we have no objection to the writer’s remarks about Chief Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) or even about his motives for joining the APC or for even participating in politics over the last 30 years. Needless to say we reject such assertions but we lose no sleep over them. We consider it nothing but an opinion which, though unwarranted and unkind, the writer is entitled to have and express. That is what free speech and democracy is all about.

What we do object to, however, and strongly too, is for him to attribute fake quotations about FFK to President Olusegun Obasanjo, and claims that Obasanjo said things about him which he never did.

This is nothing but an attempt to legitimise a false narrative about what FFK stands for and has fought for all his life and to turn fiction into truth. Needless to say, it cannot be allowed to stand or go unchallenged.

For the record it is not true that President Obasanjo ever made such derogatory remarks about FFK to the effect that he is “a good boy who will dance for food” or anything close to it.

Even though this fake news and patently false and fabricated quote has been all over the social media since 2013, we have ignored it.

Fake quotes attributed to high profile public figures is nothing new on social media but for a serious newspaper to use and legitimise them without any recourse to the purported author or attempt to verify their veracity is unacceptable.

We urge you to kindly publish this letter in order to set the record straight.

Meanwhile we continue to hold you and your newspaper in the highest esteem and we wish you well.

Can Fani-Kayode Bring Secessionist Agitators to Peace Table?

By Yushau Shuaib

The title of this article was the exact question posed by a senior security official at an informal breakfast in August. It was at a time when speculations were rife that Chief Femi Fani-Kayode would defect to the All-Progressives Congress (APC) from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

I have always referred to Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) as a "Fire-for-Fire" advocate, since February 2004 when I wrote a rejoinder to his unacceptable public outburst while he was Special Adviser on Public Affairs to the then President Olusegun Obasanjo. My rejoinder exposed the loophole in a statement Fani-Kayode had issued against Colonel Dangiwa Umar, a former military administrator of Kaduna State, and General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), over an issue they had with Obasanjo.

In the article, which was widely published in national dailies and titled, “PR Analysis of Fani-Kayode’s Rejoinder on Dangiwa Umar,” ( Read the original article of 2004 here https://yashuaib.com/2004/02/pr-analysis-of-fani-kayodes-rejoinder-on-dangiwa-umar/), I had criticised him for using high-sounding, derogatory expressions, such as ‘pathological liar’, ‘treachery’, ‘ingratitude’, ‘destructive fake’, ‘suffer a form of delusion of grandeur and ‘misguided sense of self-importance, among others, against the subjects of his diatribe.

While appealing to ethics and utilising the tools of PR to counter his approach, I offered crucial advice to Fani-Kayode. I insisted that a successful publicist is not judged by the power of his/her oratory, expensive regalia and appearance with bodyguards, but by the ability to analyse issues critically, and not in a manner that’s so vitriolic and disagreeable – even when pushing an issue he or she is so passionate about. I added that amiability, humility and openness to criticisms, are not weaknesses but attributes of a good communicator who equally has a clear mission.

With his combative postures and bombastic public engagements, Fani-Kayode has continued to remain relevant, meeting the right people at the right time, and making the right connections for the right appointments.

Born on October 16, 1960, and named David Oluwafemi Abdulateef Fani-Kayode, he had most of his schooling in Britain. After serving as Chief Press Secretary to the first national chairman of the National Republican Convention (NRC), Chief Tom Ikimi in 1990, he was appointed Special Assistant to Alhaji Umaru Shinkafi, a former head of the Nigerian Security Organisation (NSO).
Thereafter, President Olusegun Obasanjo appointed him as his Special Assistant on Public Affairs in 2003, before he was elevated to the post of Minister of Culture and Tourism, and later as the Minister of Aviation in 2006.

FFK was a member of the PDP until 2013 when he defected to the APC as a founding member. In that initial role, he constituted a continuous thorn in the side of the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan. However, he returned to the PDP in June 2014 to become the spokesperson for Jonathan’s re-election campaign till 2015.

When his party lost in the presidential election and was hounded by the newer administration, FFK refused to be intimidated. He constantly pushed back and railed against President Buhari, top APC members and the government, taking them to the cleaners for their various perceived unethical acts. His choice of words in tackling those in power was as mercilessly as it was venomous.

Meanwhile, in responding to the enquiry by the senior security source earlier mentioned, I pointed out that FFK had cordial relationships with the detained leaders of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, and of the Yoruba Nation, Sunday Igboho. I equally emphasised that although the two men are the prominent faces of the secessionist agitation in Nigeria today, they yet have stronger sympathisers and supporters within and outside government.

In some of FFK’s engagements with the agitators, he seemed to affirm and encourage their divisive and inciting rhetoric, particularly in terms of the purported Fulanisation, Arewanization and Islamisation agenda of Northerners in Nigeria.

Therefore, I expressed doubt about the possibility of the acceptance of Fani-Kayode into APC by President Buhari and the party stalwarts. I nevertheless mentioned my strong belief that if FFK genuinely renounces his essentialist, if not bigoted, ethnic and religious outlook, he has the potential to add value to political and social stability, in a manner that enhances national security.

A few weeks after the breakfast talk, FFK did not only decamp to APC but was received through a red carpet reception at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, when the APC caretaker chairman, Governor Mala Buni of Yobe State, alongside Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State presented him to President Buhari.

The reception was also greeted with wild attacks across Nigeria’s political spectrum. Surprisingly, the majority of those condemning Fani-Kayode for decamping to APC now were the same ones commending him then when he was attacking the North, its leaders and the Buhari administration. Some of his attackers have been politicians, public commentators, and secessionist campaigners of the outlawed IPOB and Yoruba Nation groups.

The politics of decamping and defection in Nigeria is nothing new. Even though some observers pointed out that Fani-Kayode had abused, insulted, and disparaged everyone indiscriminately, this could be likewise said of other noteworthy politicians like Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and Mallam Nasir El-rufai at different occasions in the past, who had vented their rage against General Buhari in disturbingly unprintable language, before they also swallowed their vomit and set up a political company with him in the same party.

Yet, unlike others, the central question being considered by many is actually what value Fani-Kayode could add to the Buhari administration at this point, which made the red carpet to be rolled out to him as he jumped ship into the APC.

Speaking with journalists after his meeting with President Buhari, FFK said it was time for him to cross over to join hands with the Head of State in moving Nigeria forward. He added that Nigerians must remain united to salvage the country from the stranglehold of those bent on destroying its progress. He also advised Nigerians not to allow any person or group to divide them or enable the disintegration of the country.

As Fani-Kayode put it: “The point is that I felt it was time to do the right thing, to put Nigeria first. When the time is right, we change direction to join forces and join hands to move the country forward. Doing this doesn’t mean we are enemies to anybody. Even if we are in another party, the PDP or any other party or group, we can still work together across party, regional, ethnic or religious lines.”

Sounding quite reflective, he continued: “We must remain one as a nation, and build bridges, work together to move the country forward. The most important thing is for us to understand the fact that Nigeria must not disintegrate and those that want us to end up fighting one another in a war will be put to shame.”

My take on Fani-Kayode's defection from the PDP to APC is not so much about the morality or otherwise of his carpet crossing, but the genuineness of his proclaimed political rebirth from being a highly divisive actor, who had championed an incendiary brand of politics anchored around ethnic and religious identification, to one promoting national unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

To his credit, before his eventual defection to APC, he was noted to have worked closely with some key players in the APC, including Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi, in resolving some ethnoreligious conflicts in some states of the country.

I can only sincerely hope his better angels take charge this time around, to enable the role of a real bridge-builder rallying together many aggrieved stakeholders of the Nigeria project to work towards the socio-economic and political stability of our nation, which he is eminently qualified to play if he is so sincerely inspired.

By the way, I learn that beyond being Yoruba and Pentecostal Christian, FFK has Muslim and Fulani roots, and hence major traces of the Nigerian diversity, which he ought to be deeply concerned about promoting our national unity in ensuring national security of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Education / What You Must Know About Kenneth Hagin School by MikePhilly(m): 2:45pm On Sep 25, 2021
Godspowerproject

Rhema Bible Training College

All over the world Kenneth Hagin is widely acknowledged across spiritual circles as the father of the word of faith and the only person God directed to go teach His people the word of Faith, which made him to go ahead and start the Rhema Bible Training College in 1974 and since then it has cut across the globe with annexes in 200 centers spread across 50 countries.

Understanding what its like to want more of God and to be prepared for His plan, Rhema Bible Training College has trained over 93,000 men and women to find and fulfill God's plan for their lives, helping them discover what God has for them as they live their lives to make a difference in the world.

A Trainee’s Experience at Rhema

Catching up with one of such imparted trainees and recent graduate in person of respected Pastor and youths mentor, Adesuyi Oke, who is currently serving as an administrator to Pastor Ajibola Abimbola at Lagos Area 59 of the Living Faith Church (under the spiritual authority of Bishop David Oyedepo) in Lagos, and had glowing recommendations to share about his experience at Rhema Bible Training College.

Changing the Face of Christianity

“I had my lectures at NECA house on Saturdays and Sundays, We are talking about 600 hours of God's word and two years of intensive lectures by lecturers, whites, blacks, coming from all over the world, not only to teach but to impart us with knowledge and by the grace of God we have been given the baton to take the word of faith to the world (you can see my baton) to change the face of Christianity in the world. It's not only about getting that certificate but also to be rooted in the word of God and taking the knowledge I've taken in to impact my world, people around and everyone that comes across me must not remain the same again.”

To Know The Hope of The Calling

When pressed further about his experience, Pastor Adesuyi emphasized on how deep the word of God is and the more you get to know God, the more you even know you don't know Him. The more you seek of Him, you seek to learn more about Him. “Training time is not a waste, that you attended some Bible School before is not it, because the word of God is so deep, deeper than what you think you have known. And when you expose yourself to know Him more, the Bible is new everyday, the word of God becomes new everyday and your eyes of understanding is enlightened” he added while citing the instance of Paul and the eyes of understanding of the Ephesians, to know the hope of the calling and why Christ has chosen you.

Redemptive Realities And Christ Ambassadors

“There’s a reason why Christ has chosen us, we are His ambassadors and we need to represent Him well. And for you to represent Him well, you need knowledge of your authority in Him, knowledge of your right in Him. We are talking about redemptive realities. Know who you are in Christ. That's the basic because if you don't know who you are in Christ, the devil will cheat you, but if you do, you will tell the devil shut up and he will. Having the knowledge that Christ died for us and is seated in Heavenly places at the right hand of God and we are also in Him will help you excel.”

Christianity: Fighting from a realm of Victory

Christianity used to be a struggle, like some kind of militancy against the devil, but when knowledge came in, it was discovered that Christians are not fighting for victory but fighting from a realm of victory- fighting based on the victory that God through Christ has purchased for us. Christians are fighting the good fight of faith, not the type that we are hitting and the devil is hitting back, because we now know that the he has already been defeated.

Show me your friends

The truth is my knowledge of the word of God has improved such that when I carry my Bible now, there's revelation. I don't find it hard to grasp the word of God and I discovered the grace to teach has been released. Show me your friends and ill tell you who you are. You cannot inter meddle with giants of faith that God has put that oil on and it will not rub off on you. I believe that the grace upon Kenneth Hagin is gradually being released upon us to do the same thing he did while he was on earth, to replicate that word of faith across the globe. Take what you have received and give to people around you.

So many people go through their daily lives casually and completely oblivious of what supernatural battle the devil and agents are waging against their destinies or why things seem to be going otherwise for them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwGA2UomD1U

I experienced firsthand how spiritually competitive this life can be during a weekend misadventure where I could practically sense my dearest Holy Spirit abandon me after engaging a wrong ministry.

Fear and suicidal thoughts led to quick thinking and it struck me that I belonged to the breakthrough family-Winners Chapel, where there was access to the liberation mandate. I got materials I needed from my Pastor and engaged on a spiritual exercise.

God be praised, Day 3 of my spiritual exercise was the midweek communion service and it seemed that the Host of Heavens already told Bishop David Oyedepo of my case.

Putting Up A Fight Against the Forces of Unrighteousness.

I learned that it takes a fight to be listed as an overcomer and that the visa to heaven is given only to over-comers. “We can't overcome what we don't fight against, what you don't confront, you can't conquer. You are only empowered to become what you believe in“ (1Tim6vs11-12: Mark7vs20: 1Cor.9vs24-27: 2Tim4vs7-8: 1Cor.15vs9).

Nature of Sin
Sin blinds the eyes and mind of man to its consequences. 1Sam12vs3: Judges16vs16-21: Luke24vs31.

Spirit of rebellion/disobedience is a factor of sin. The only way to overcome the spirit of disobedience is to be endued with the spirit of obedience. Your obedience only adds value to you and no one else, same way your disobedience erodes your value. Every instruction from Heaven is for our own elevation. (Eph2vs2: Isa50vs4: Philipians2vs5-11: John10vs17-18: Prov9vs12: 1Sam15vs22-23).

Benefits of Godliness

It enhances revelation and revelation is what empowers believers for a flight. (Psa25vs14: Isa60vs1-3: Prov23vs23)

It secures peace, quiet and assurance. (Isa48vs22: Prov28vs1: Isa32vs17: Exo14vs14: Psa46vs10).

The Bishop rounded up with an admonishment to crave for righteousness before making the altar call stating “Salvation comes before Sanctification”.

Celebrities / How I Married American Lady Through Facebook- Kazbanj by MikePhilly(m): 11:06am On Sep 21, 2021
Kazbanj, a multimedia talented dude opens up on how he married an American Lady through Facebook friendship. Among other issues, he also speak on how to nurture and maintain lasting relationship in marriage. Enjoy.

IT’S BEEN 3YEARS AFTER, HOW DID YOU MEET THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE ?

KAZBANJ Yes ooo, just like yesterday 2017, from facebook Hi, to lifetime partners. It was like a joke when we started the conversation on Facebook. With sleepless nights, it was not an easy task for me, but from the first day when Facebook poped up her picture as a friend, I strongly knew that she is my wife.

When I checked her profile picture I said to myself 'who be this queen again oooo lol?" , I quickly checked her pictures to see if I could find more beautiful pictures of her and to see where she came from. Unfortunately there was no location or information on her profile. I checked her mutual friends then found she was friends with an old Facebook girlfriend I have been asking out for a relationship .When I realized they were friends I was just confused about everything. Two days later I told myself this is my wife I have to go for her.

I began to like her pictures and some of her posts before sending her a friend request telling myself anything that would make her accept my friend request means she's mine, and she did. There were no messages from her that's when I sent a direct message to her messenger

I wrote "Hello Mrs. Tallman" I was trying to play a fast one on her to know if she was a married woman or not. I waited for days for her response to know my faith. Throughout those days I was always with my phone looking out for any notification of her response . It took about 3days before her response came in and guess what it was ? 'Lolzz not " Mrs" , 'Miss Tallman' . Immediately I got that message I screamed in the office , ' wow I have gotten a wife' my colleague in the office was looking at me like this guy is really crazy big time. But to me I knew I had found my real love from that day. It's just like in the bible when the woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus Christ and Jesus said someone touched me, I feel her touch. That's how I felt that day.

That is how we started with introducing each other from that August 2017, till date. No day has gone by that we haven't talked or facetime each other at least 6 times in a day. "Facebook brought us Together".

TELL US ABOUT THE ADVENTURE SO FAR?

KAZBANJ The adventure has been a beautiful experience that will ever happen in my life, because i am involved with someone that understands what love is all about and cherish it.

I remember visiting different places in Nigeria together. There was a day on our way from Atican Beach to visit Badagry slave Trade and the Point of no return in same Badary my car was overheating and we were coming from Okun Ajah and had only gotten to isolo Badagry at 6:30. Pm. We still had like 4 hours or more before we get to Badagry if not more . I had to tell my wife " babe this is Nigeria, we can't get to Badagry today. We should look for a mechanic here to fix this car, lodge in an hotel around here and by tomorrow morning we would continue our journey to Badagry".

On arriving Badagry the next day, we got our hotel room first to relax as we ordered for our favorite meals. Afterwards ,our first visit was the slave trade, where one of the tour guides explained the stories .The most exciting part of the journey was when we visited the 'Point of no return ' . According to the guide’s explaination any slave that got to this point was gone for good because they crossed them with a flying boat to the other side of the ocean. When we were at the boat together my wife looked at me whispering to me "honey are you sure we have not been kidnapped to the SLAVE TRADE" . I laughed and laughed even the guide saw it on her face that she was scared. From the boat to the other side took us about 45 minutes. When we alighted it took us another 1hour 30minutes walk to get to the red sea where the ship will onboard the slaves . So far, we have visited different places in Nigeria, having wonderful moments together and it was all adventurous too.

POPULAR OPINION IS THAT NIGERIAN GUYS MARRY WHITE LADIES FOR SOCIAL AND FINANCIAL SECURITY. DOES THIS RING TRUE FOR YOU?

KAZBANJ I don't believe in such, we do have many wealthy young men here that marry white ladies just because of love and their culture, some don't even have any plans of travelling abroad and they take good care of their white women here in Nigeria.

I am an example. I married my wife just because of the character I perceived of her and she honors and respects me as a husband. These are some of the qualities I really want in a woman.

She really changed my perspective and what I heard about American women behaviour, so it’s not really about social or financial security. I do send money to my wife from Nigeria to America and that's not because I am a millionaire or billionaire. I am just a normal average Nigerian man living and hustling here. I do it because she's my wife and its my responsibility to take good care of her as a good husband, and I have not seriously thought of staying abroad for now, because I have my business doing well here in Nigeria.

YOU MENTIONED THAT SHE IS OVER THERE AND YOU ARE HERE IN NIGERIA, HOW DOES THIS DISTANCE IMPACT YOUR MARRIAGE?

KAZBANJ Well, we are still young and still have more years to live together. For now It really gives me more time to build my businesses . She still comes around often and we travel together for vacation to other countries and for our wedding Anniversary. With time we are going to decide where to base maybe in America or Nigeria, but we haven't decided yet.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS THE KEY INGREDIENT IN YOUR MARRIAGE?

KAZBANJ Understanding and communication is the key ingredient of our marriage. I married a woman who understands what marriage is all about, we do have disagreement sometimes because we're coming from a different culture and background, but it doesn't last more than an hour, no matter what the issues are we laugh over it. That's the key ingredient.

If there's another life to come again, I will still marry her over and over again.

WHAT CULTURE SHOCK EXPERIENCES DID YOU HAVE?

KAZBANJ The only culture shock experience I had so far was when my wife was coming to Nigeria for the first time, for our traditional marriage, non of her family members came with her. she came all alone, not that the family was never happy about the marriage. They were all in support of the marriage. They just saw it as something not really important since the two partners are happy. family members are happy too with the blessings, which is really different in my own culture, and this other thing that shocked me was that when ever we went out on a date she offers to pay the Bills. In Nigeria you know the opposite is the case . The guy is expected to pay for things we bought especially as a husband. She would just go ' babe let me pay for this you have been paying for everything'.

DID YOU ENVISAGE ANY KIND OF RESISTANCE FROM YOUR FAMILY?

KAZBANJ Well, not at all. When I told my mom that there is a lady I met on internet, a Christian from America, and the way I see our friendship it will lead to a marriage ,she said 'OYINBO OMO AMERICA Kee? Laaduru gbogbo Obirin to waa ni Nigeria OYINBO le ri mu wa le'., I laughed. Meaning ' of all the ladies here in Nigeria, a White lady in America is who you decide to bring home, how will you be able to control her? The truth about it is that 90 percent of African mothers are afraid of their Son getting married to a white lady just because of what they do hear about American ladies lifestyle over there. The only thing that convinced my mom about my wife was when I told her she is a Christian and always pray for me when ever we're on phone talking so when my mom heard all that she got a little convinced with that.

When she spoke with her on phone and video chat, she was pleased so she just said If that is what God wants for your life that will give you happiness go ahead and God will make everything go well but she told me to fast and pray about it. Mum was all about a person having the fear of God be you Mr President' s daughter or an American Citizen. If you don't have the fear of God in you or be a God lover there is no way you can be a good person and you are not acceptable that way because she's a strong believer. She told me to pray about it because marriage is a blessing from God "He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the lord".

I use this opportunity to remember my MOM, Deaconess ESTHER MOJISOLA ADEFOLAMI. May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
