A few months ago, Oprah had a show featuring a Nigerian who got caught trying to sell some kind of currency-making scheme to an ABC TV undercover journalist.

At the end of the show, she said (paraphrasing) that so as not to get millions of emails, she is aware of Nigerians who aren't corrupt and who are hard-working individuals. I am sure you can search for the video on youtube to confirm. So for me to hear this 180-degree quote doesn't make sense.

Having said that, granted I think those who fall for the scams are the actual corrupt ones for trying to embezzle funds from another's country, and most of these scamsters are actually not Nigerian but other nationals hiding under the "All Nigerians are corrupt" umbrella (refer to photos on http://www.419eater.com/html/hall_of_shame.htm for proof of this), na we do ourselves o! A few rotten apples have unfortunately spoiled the bunch.

Regardless, I tout my nationality with pride. Anyone who dares approach me with that crap gets soaked, blued, bleached, washed, dried and starched to the point where the next time they hear "Nigeria", they get immediate diarrhoea
