I'm so not surprised this is coming from a lady. Every responsibility should be taken up by the man. That's the very poor mentality that African women guide their judgements with, and it doesn't help at all.

Many of these people obsessively delve into the very controversial discussion of feminism, and they advocate for equality, but how on earth is this possible? Is it even feasible in Africa in the foreseeable future, with this mentality? It's in Africa that women see men as being responsible for everything in the family, yet they want to be equal with those men solely taking up those responsibilities. Because they say men are the heads of the families, they should literary carry the family on top their head abi?

I'd really love a society where the women would stop fighting for equality, but do well to earn it themselves. And as far as I'm concerned, they haven't earned it one bit. Not with this mentality.

So all the education, the job hunting, finally getting a job and getting paid, then what? It's just for you to sit somewhere and selfishly enjoy your money while your husband - your partner and supposed 'better half' - does the whole work, which includes taking care of you, around the house with his own money? What if you're the one who has the money, using it to take care of your family? Would that make you less a woman? Or it'd make your husband a loser? A failure? That's the problem with us Africans: always wanting to reap where we did not snow.

An average American lady comes to you basically for who you are, and not what you are and or have. No wonder they keep progressing beyond measures in all ramifications.

You want something? Earn it yourself!

Ok, i don't get certain things here. But before i go on, i would like to reiterate my point to the op that she should do as it pleases her.

But op, i want you to take not of that which you might not be taking note of.

Alot of the men here suddenly are now 'real' men who are not intimedated by successful women hence they speak in such condescending tone against 'inferior' men and in support of 'modern' civilization. But if these men are not intimedated and are now 'modern', who then are those men out there who are not intimedated? Are the men here not the same ones out there? If they are now 'modern' like they are now claiming to be, why then are the likes of Genevieve not married? Oh, they don't like Genevieve?

So the question now is....why do these men come online and say something, but when they go out there, they behave differently? The answer is: feminist shaming and attacking of male psychology. No body wants to be seen as a non real man.

It is easy for other ladies to tell you that the men who would be intimidated by you don't matter but, what percentage of marriageable men do you think the bolder, richer men represent? By the time you are like a certain lady who just is approaching 40, just bought a banana mansion and still single, you will wish you kept a lower profile / made yourself approachable to all men.

Op I want u to ask yourself why u have worked in a multinational company for 3yrs & yet no husband. Then, check all the advanced single ladies in your organization & try to know why they aren't married. You will agree with me that majority of them own cars.

Let me be frank with u, most ladies who buy car before marriage hardly find suitors. Some ladies buy car with the believe that rich guys will approach them & they later find out that it is not like that most times. You know why? Most guys who own cars use the cars to chase babes who don't have cars because they appreciate them more than girls who own cars.

I know so many beautiful ladies who own cars but no husband. Most of them come to me for prayers in tears. I really pity them. Some of my friends are even begging me to marry one out of several of them working in oil company but the problem is that I don't see love in them. I only see desperation.

Don't do something that will make your friends & family begin to beg men to pls marry u. Pls be wise & patient.

I know of 2 sisters from a wealthy home. Their mum bought them a car each after graduation. The younger one refused to use hers. She parked it at home till she got married & gave it to her husband. The elder sister is prettier but no husband for over 5yrs since she has been riding her big car around.
