DauraDullard0: Shut up and stop telling lies. Everybody doesn't have short memory here. Don't you ever try to rewrite the narrative. The only time we experienced fuel scarcity during Jonathan's administration was at the tail-end of his tenure.... April and May 2015. You are not saying the truth or probably have forgotten. Fuel scarcity happened many times during Gej's time. I remember when I bought a liter of fuel for 500 naira at the black market here in Abuja. This is not politics, its the truth. Lets pray that things get better for our dear country. |

What abt other first class student that graduated with 4.6, 4.9, etc. Plz to me this article or thread make not sense. After all the guy has gotten a national recognition, m sure some companies has offer him something. We should pressurize buhari on how to make this country better, that's wats important. Not this rubbish u wrote here. You are on point. The President is grappling with so many challenges to put this country on the right path for our common good. Honoring the guy must not be immediately because it is not an emergency, after all there are formal avenues of doing that like the annual national award. |

Politics › Re: Stealing Is Not Corruption - Ekpo Nta, ICPC Boss by MIM77(m): 10:21am On Mar 23, 2016 |
Goke7: Don't be surprised, pdp is only trying to save its battered image by tongue-lashing the present FG and also trying to launder the ugly image of Jonathan, hence the reason for a thread like this. Don't expect anything good comment about PMB from pdp fans even if he tars the entire road in the south east. Their strategy is play dirty and try to get back into aso rock by 2019 or else pdp will be awaiting final burial by then. After all, Nta the ICPC Chairman was Gej's boy and appointed by him. Who knows the game he is playing by concurring with his former boss. Corruption is the generic name of any deviation from normal norm and stealing is a specific name of taking what does not belong to you. Therefore, stealing is a deviation from normal norm i.e. stealing is an abnormal behavior, so stealing is corruption. |

Barrysleek: Most ICAN examiners are from the south west the tend deliberate refuse to pass student from other regions. look at the huge discrepancy in ratio of ICAN members between the south west and other regions. I think you are wrong, names are not written on the answer scripts, so there is no way any examiner will know whose script he is marking. ICAN's marking system is transparent, more than 5 examiners mark a candidate's script and it is a conference marking. ICAN started from the south-west and before the advent of internet, you have to go to Lagos to get the registration form, fill & submit. When the time of exams comes, you have to go again and register for exams ahead of time and still come back and sit for it. It involved a lot of money, efforts and time to do all that from other regions most especially the northern part of Nigeria but it was relatively easier for those in the south-west. This is the core reason why there are more ICAN members in the south-west than other regions. During those difficult days of the absence of internet, they had more people sitting for the exam because of the relative ease of accessing Lagos for registration and exams, so they will normally have more people passing. When internet came, registration, payment of fees, access to materials, checking of result etc became online and more exam centers were created across the country. By the grace of God, from the beginning to the end I had no course to go to Lagos for anything apart from induction. I am from the north, because of the distance to Lagos if it were those days i wouldn't have been able to start the process not to talk of qualifying. Thanks to technology. |

You are very correct! He said for now, importation is more expensive than refining locally. The 18 months time span he earlier gave for the stoppage of importation of refined pms means that something will be done between now and then to be able to have a cheaper refining capacity. Lets pray that they get it right instead of wailing at the sight of a misleading headline without going through the content. |

Celebrities › Re: Basketmouth Posted This About Buhari And See What He Got. by MIM77(m): 3:11pm On Mar 11, 2016 |
Quakertellicus1: Well....change is a gradual process.
I am about to embark on some propaganda for the government....so I apologise to all the gods and deities..
1.LIGHT:
When PMB came on board...power supply was at 5000mw max. Meanwhile Nigeria'sdaily need is approx 13000mw. (IMO-it is 20000MW). Even if Buhari started building power stations on June 1 2015....it would take till June 2018 for them to come on stream. Then there is the fact that the transmission system is obsolete. Infact, many of the DISCOS were shocked that something that dilapidated was still working. It needs replacement.
So..anyone expecting change in power supply is just being impatient. IMO---it is going to take ten to twenty years before we can get power fixed. And it needs money. And since GEJ got the whole thing privatized....except for generation....the money is going to come from your pockets.
2.FUEL.
PMB has refused to remove fuel subsidy. As a result....it has become difficult for fuel marketers to import the stuff and still make a profit...which is why many of them were engaging in scams....it was the only way to make cash. Add the fact that we need at least 4 more refineries.....and you see why there will be queues.
The queues can end if we remove subsidy completely. That would enable the marketers import fuel...and still have a profit...to import more fuel, pay salaries of staff, and build the house in the village.(Man and woman suppose chop fruit of labour)
But if you want cheap fuel....you need refineries. And even if Buhari started building 4 refineries on the 1 ST june 2015....it would take 4 years to build them.
3.NAIRA.
Yes....N1=$1. (Which PMB never promised).
Even then.....oil prices have fallen. Now they are up to $40 per barrel....but Nigeria needs oil at $112 per barrel to get naira to N140=$1. Of course...we need to diversify. But that takes years...not ten months.
Keep calm...change is a gradual process.
Ta. That's just the bottom line! And on the issue of diversification of the economy, the benefits comes in the long-run i.e. in at least 3-4 years. Had it bn massive diversification programme commenced in the last 5-10 years, we wud hv started reaping the benefits by now and the dwindling oil price wouldn't be felt nor the value of naira crash. idupaul: This is is what I loaded some days ago...if u look at carefully u will see its just 340 kw units , it was previously 592 before the increment ..341 can't take me more than half the month ..I will get a consumption print out today and show u .. Your bill reflects the new tariff @ #25.789/kw alongside the fixed charge of #750 which shouldn't be there. My current bill, even though not prepaid is based on kw rate of#14.7 as it used to be but the estimated consumption was very high. In your case, you were not suppose to be charged using the new tariff because the Senate suspended the implementation. For those of us on estimated bill the tariff did not change but they manipulated the estimated quantity consumed. May God bring permanent solution to this crisis. |

The most important qualities in marriage are respect, good character, absence of violent outburst, receptivity etc. Love will fade when these qualities are non-existent. The fine face, curves, boobs etc will look ugly and stinky without the aforementioned qualities in place. I advice you to decline from marrying her because there are high chances that you may end up trapped in perpetual crisis and you can't be sure she will change. Things would have been worst than this if Jonathan had come back. The effect of the rubbish carried out by the last government is largely responsible for our present predicament. You don't expect things to change in flip of seconds. We wouldn't have known of all this monumental embezzlement if he had come back cos he was a player in the act.
