assuming the following:
depth of foundation 600mm ( 3 courses of 6" block)
assuming a toilet of 6' x 4' ( 1.8m x 1.2m) and two toilwt per flat
assuming a living room of 14'x14' (4.2 x 4.2m)
assuming a kitchen of 8' x 8' (2.4 x 2.4m)
assuming a dinning of 8' x 8' (2.4 x 2.4m)

setting out should cost like N30,000

perimeter each of the room 3 x 3.6m ( 10 x 12) = ( (2x3)+(2x3.6)) = 13.2m x 2 x 3 = 79.2m
perimeter of living room/ dining for the three flats = (4.2 x 4)+(2.4 x 4) = 26.4m x 3 =79.2m
perimeter of kitchen/toilets = (2.4 x 4 ) +((1.2x2) + (1.8x2)) x 2) = 13.92m = 41.76m
total perimeter of the house = 200.16m

allowing 15% for circulation and veranda = 1.15 x 200.16 = 230.184m

depth of foundation = 600mm (2')
rate of excavation N300/m = N69,000(can be lower depending on location of building)

foundation strip footing depth and width of footing = 100mm (4''), 450mm(18'')
volume of concrete = 0.1 x 0.45 x 230 = 10.35m3
cement required using mix ratio of 1:3:6 = 1/10x10.35x1506/50 = 47bags of cement @ N200 per bag = N94,000

gravel required = 6/10 x 10.35 x2.4 = 15 tonnes @ N8,000/tonnes = N120,000
workmanship = N40,000

foundation block = 230 x 0.6 x 10 =1380blocks @ N120/block = N165,600
cement for molter = 25bags @ N2000/bags = N50,000
sand = 5 tonnes = N8,000
workmanship = N70,000

filling and compaction to DPC level: depending on site conditions

DPM = N8,000
DPC of 75mm thick = 185 x 0.075 = 13.875m3
cement = 40bags = N80,000
sand = 15 tonnes = N24,000
gravel = 5 tonnes = N40,000
workmanship = N40,000

formwork for the DPC = N20,000

Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by mimi77: 3:18pm On Dec 12, 2014
DanIndia:
Hi Everyone,

It's nice to see a live thread on Italian Study Visa Application. I've seen a lot about DV and Legalization and all but I'm still confused and I'm sure someone with a much better idea can straighten things out for me.
I'm a student pursuing my degrees in India and I'll be finishing sometime in June of an academic year and want to join the August Intake in Italy. Can I take my Indian degree to Nigeria and apply or do I have to do the application here ?
It does sound a little bit odd to see confusing information online on websites asking for the Docs to be legalized in the degree awarding country but just wanted to share here.

Looking forward to contributions here and there.

@DanIndia
I did this process in Nigeria in 2013, i believe not much has changed.correct me if am wrong thou.
if you have Indian residency, then u can apply for visa from there. Legalize indian academic docs in India.The process of DV and legalisation for nigerian academic documents in Lagos,Abuja takes place around June when the Italian embassy starts accepting application from students with admissions letter for visa.(check italian embassy website regulary for this announcement to confirm period, usually not very long, about a month or little over)
But then, if you are already in India for sch, i want to believe you did this process before being granted a study visa. or ... no??
Anyways, i hope i have been able to answer your question.

cheers!

Hi Guys,
For those of us planning to study in Italy for the 2013/2014 academic session; just to inform,
That's if you are not already aware:
Pre-enrolment has opened in the italian embassy in Nigeria. Its frm 21st march to 21st june 2013.
This is for submission of your already certified academic documents which you do in Abuja to them. And getting a teller to go pay your legal fees in zenith bank.
If you need more clarity, you can go to the embassy at walter carrington- lagos brethren.
Their doors are open to take questions,I went there myself and was ushered in & attended to inside by an italian.
Best of luck,

Ciao!

Proudlygemini: Please do not engage yourself with those touts outside the immigration office, they will only eat your money and leave you hanging. I was there yesterday to submit my documents to an officer and i was told to wait till next week for the approval letter which i would take with me to abuja. NOTE: it cannot be done in lagos. I paid 50k to the officer and should expect my passport in 2 weeks or less. please deal with an immigration officer next time you go

Hi Proudlygemini, pls have you been able to finish your passport name change procedures? kindly give me updates on what happened after the wait for approval letter as stated above. i wish to commence mine by march, but i thought i should rather pass on straight to Abuja. do advise, thanks alot.
cheers!

darejamesbond: Hi all, could anyone share with me about the idea of using a lawyer to handle document legalization in lagos with the italian embassy..no visa needed just to legalize the marriage cert, Birth cert, and the Police report...i need it and i am outside the country...any ideas or recommendation and if you have any reputable lawyer could you pls share with the house as well....cheers guys...

Hi darejamesbond, well the much i know about this hectic process is (1)first translate into italian using the embassy's approved entrusted translators.(2)Legalize-i know education docs go to evaluation dept,min of education and foreign affairs -Abuja. but am not sure about the docs you have. I will start my process this month, & i intend to do all docs legalization as stated.
whereafter you do the below;
original receipt and photocopy of payment of legal fees to embassy via zenith,all other relevant doc must be presented in original and photocopy. After all done, a receipt showing date on which docs can be collected would be given. The consular office would then put up a list at the main gate showing names of ppl who would be entitled to enter the consulate in order to collect their docs.
Good luck.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: UBA Interview For Experienced Hire by mimi77: 4:11pm On Jan 19, 2013
Not to worry,
Just be sure to get there early
and if you have to wait till about 7 to 8pm before the interview actually commences don't be fussed.
Be confident in yourself,
speak eloquently, using banking terms
depending on the role, but i guess,it's marketing, do wear a smile,
know some key stuff about credit, and above all-pray.
wish you luck!

Travel / Re: E-passport Renewal/extension by mimi77: 8:49pm On Jan 04, 2013
thebaft: @ tayorsnr81,

You can definitely go for an EXTENSION with 6 months validity. With six (6) months validity in your passport, some embassies might not grant you a visa. Mine was like 8 months validity when I applied. Remember, they will give you a new passport with 5 years validity and cancel the current one. Take care.

Hello the bAft, so eventually how much were you able to extend your passport for? i have 1 year validity on my passport, i guess the option i need to take is extension. can i do it in lagos? thanks

boss-man:

Yes d embassy I terrible. I included my transcript cos it is necessary. They rejected my student copy too so I had to find a way of getting d original sent from d school to a friend, that's the copy I later took to them. Tho I sent people to do most of those things cos of my work demand. Yes I paid 53k last year but I don't know if it has changed.

You only need. The embassy for the legalisation and declaration of value. Its VFS that will handle visa if thva has not changed. I will post the visa requitment soon and the VFS contact no.

Pls can i use only my bachelors degree certificate in place of transcript? cuz it is a herculean task for me to get my transcript by hand and even if they post it, it might never get to the ministry of education. Any Uniuyo in da house? u feel me! am just beginning the process, God will help me. my school starts sept 2013.UniBo,MBA
