Guys, let us respect their procedure. They are not saying he cannot go in. They are saying he needs his original passport (not photocopy) before he can go in. There are lots of places like that in the world where even a certified copy will not work, only the original.

If he told them that he submitted his passport, they would probably ask for the receipt, and once they see that, they should allow him in.
Please in the case he lost his receipt? And the original passport is with the vfs/embassy

What so u think he should do?

(Note: that is a public service center. And personally myself I dont have problem with there rule. Hence I say rules are made for betterment and not other way round. And that's why I did mentioned atleast a security personnel can walk him in to get help or better stil advice him how to go about getting help if they must never allow him in. Am sure if they did advice him on what to do he wouldn't be here in NL seeking for help

If they don't allow him in then how do people who don't pay for courier service get their passport back ?
You can ask that again.
Because laws are made for good and not for bad.

A security personnel could escort him in to get assisted. And believe me that wont cost anything.

I honestly dislike how we treat ourselves in these country with no remorse.

Hello justwise and people in the house,Iamgrey5, Kombast, Mimicle101, and @ Andrew444. I have been silently following this thread for a very long time and I have learnt lots on this forum regarding the process, and steps by steps on how to obtain South Africa visa.
I’m having a serious problem and I want the house to help me out.

I submitted my tourist visa using the VIP section on 25th of March at vfs lagos centre. My question is this.
I lost my reference number through my phone and this has been difficult for me to track my application, so i had to travel from osun state ( Ile-Ife ) to vfs Lagos centre along with the photocopy of my international passport but I wasn’t allow to go in by the security mobile police and nothing yet in my email nor phone calls. Pls house how can I go about this.

This is the 6th weeks and next week will make it 7th weeks pls house am fed up
But how could they not allow you in? Atleast they could have told you the necessary steps to follow to get ur concern sorted.

Is so pity how we often oppress our selfs in Nigeria, I guess no human right.

People who are there to serve the public

Please just try emailing the customer service as others recommended hopefully you cn get assisted

I heard there was a backlog at the embassy. They are clearing it though.

Contact your institution's International office and see if they can help you contact the embassy.

All the best.

I guess will have to wait and or I contact the school

you are a slowpoke for you to have started with insults when I didn't insult you. show me one big market in developed countries without market leaders and some sort of association. it is Yoruba culture to have iyaloja/babaloja in our markets and computer village remains part of Yoruba land. if you are not comfortable with the tradition pls find somewhere else to trade.

uncouth slowpoke
"Our land"
"Yoruba land"

Is Yoruba not in Nigeria?

By the time fools like you learn to state your opinion without using above quoted words when discussing about matters that concern every Nigerian Citizen then people like me will start taking you serious... kak

Wow really, so because they have not erased the barbaric laws where I came from. That means Lagos Government should also make barbaric laws right?

Shame typical Nigerian lazy mentality

Sometimes I wonder what you people always think with your heads, will Ibo people install an Hausa man as a king just people they are doing so fine in Ibo Land, NO. So this is Lagos, A Yoruba Land, You guys follow the culture of Market place, where you have both Iyaloja and Babaloja. Which am sure they would be Yorubas. If you like protest from now till eternity, they will still Install them to lead you guys... Next plz
Are you sick on the head?

In these time and age Market head? What is even that.

What would there duties even be. To lord over the market?

Most of you guys need to move to animal kingdom.

Last, last you guys will still have to obey the "Law of the land" - Afonja's rule and regulations else you are perfectly welcome to carry your products on your flat heads and relocate back to your hamlets.

As long as you lot chose to trade in our land, you are bound by our rules else you can naff off. No biggie
Law of the land my foot.

Your thinking capacity is zero.

Is law there to protect and make life easier for people or is it there to persecute and cause hardship to people?

Nigerian problem like you

Bros so i cant go on vacation in peace abi ?because they are xenophobic oh common bro

Which country you want make i go for vacation? so na you go tell me where i go go right?

Take it easy bro and stop having grudge against south Africa

All countries get their own for body
We cant always generalize. Even among Nigerians you will find xenophobic people, that word is not meant for south alone.

I can stil tell you that what most of our people do in Sa if table were turned and it happened to be others doing it in Nigeria maybe there would be more than xenophobia.

I have meet lots of Sa people whom to me are more welcoming than even our own people over here.

What we should be talking about is for our people to respect there host (sa) or any other country they go to.

So does that mean the xenophobia can start at anytime? When you say play safe what exactly do you mean? Do they attack random Nigerians or is it targeted?
No is not like them targeting Nigerians randomly.

Just that crime can be high generally so being safe is always advisable both locals and foreign

My medical insurance is from January to December, 2019. However, I wont be entering South Africa until next month due to visa delay and some personal issues.

What can I do to extend my cover from the period of my arrival (May, 2019 to April 2020) or it is not possible?
John though am not able to answer your query

But please may I ask.

When were you supposed to resume school and when was ur visa issued.

Am asking these because on my sis school acceptance letter the school stated commencement date 25th February. Though due to some delays the application was submitted late on the 21 February.

Until now the visa is not out yet.

My worry and concern is if the 25th daye would impact the visa. (Undergraduate studies)

Please anyone who has idea to these your informed input would be appreciated
