Mysterdema: I went to the VFS Global office yesterday. They said study and permanent residence Visas take time, and if I think it is taking too long, I should ask my institution to write to the Embassy. What an answer. I just hope they would never refuse a visa on the account of late. Because I dont understand how they could hold on to a passport for over 3 months |

Diamond1960: Your sister should prepare for 2020 for her resumption since most undergraduate students are commencing their exams this month. But if I may ask. How about the visa. If she is to prepare for 2020 would she stil be granted the visa. Cos after paying so much and both school fees would all that be a waste? Cos I was never aware that visa can take 3 months and stil counting. Wouldn't that mean they are intentionally doing that |

lordwilliem: I tire oh. That's about 14weeks. Both insurance, application fee, SAQA evaluation fee because mine is master's. One has spent a lot . though I heard as far as one has not done registration, the insurance will not start counting.
This one your sister's own is undergraduate, let's be hopeful. That's hope they have not resume in her school? Yes I remain hopeful. |

That's not true. Remember it's with the school acceptance later that you will use to apply for the insurance. Check your insurance certificate you should see the active months there. Meanwhile are u also aware that in some instances you would be required to pay 1/3 of the school fees? |

lordwilliem: What was the reply from the advisor? He said I should write him and email explaining in detail about the visa delay then we can only try but no guarantee to see if momentum will forward the date. |
Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Mimicle101: 4:15pm On May 14, 2019 |
I just called the momentum financial advisor now to enquire if anything could be done. Since the student health insurance has been active since 1st March. If it could be stopped and the date changed to future or something.
These Vfs guys are not really considering nothing here.
Who shall speak for us in these land? |

lordwilliem: @Mimicle
I tire for these people ooo, I applied for study visa too since 8/2/2019, and mine is still not out yet. This is the 14 week already. May God help us ooo. That is 3 months 2 weeks! But why would they be doing these. For school for Goodness sake. And how much one has spent for insurance, school fees and other things just to study. Is really so bad. One should be already studying by these time now. My sis study insurance started since 1st March and this is May so what's really going to happen |

I pray everything will end in praise. I have not mailed them yet. Is for undergraduate study for my sister. We are really tired of the things especially as there is no understandable explanation to the delays. Though I have been thinking if I should mail them. By friday will make mine 12 weeks |

depoty22: Application in SA seem more faster than in Nigeria, That my observation but in most case i do have insider that i use for some applications.
In SA CSV take within 1 Month. Inside... in sa or 9ja.. and are they able to fastrack applications |
Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Mimicle101: 12:46pm On May 10, 2019 |
depoty22: it shouldn't take that long. If he submit without pushing it may take long.
The application that are faster are CSV and study.
You need to keep pushing him, it will be out. I really doubt if study is that quick though. Cos next week would be my 11 weeks. And that don't seem to be fast enough bro. Eyes are red as it stands |

Your school also has seconds registration I guess and did u pay school fees in advance That reminds me. Please I really dont have idea about the booking cos I didn't do it by myself. But try go up the comments those informations and links should be here. |

Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Mimicle101: 7:35pm On May 08, 2019 |
Juwohn: Did you apply for undergraduate or honors? For both, VFS will confirm from your institution if you're likely to be accepted. The decision to grant a visa in that case will be based on whether the school can still accept you or not. If you have paid part of the tuition fees, my advice is that you follow up with your institution. Is for undergraduate study. Yes I paid part of the school fees according to the school rules. Though i did spoke with the school manager he told me they do have another registration around june. And that the vfs also know the way it's done. Am only just hoping for wonders.. Thanks for your response. |
Travel › Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Mimicle101: 6:23pm On May 08, 2019 |
Juwohn: Unlike Masters and PhD, honours is a bit more structured. You have to resume in January. On rare occasions, you may be allowed to register in July. Resumption beyond this two periods is hardly possible - at least to the best of my knowledge. Even VFS may not grant your application. Please kindly reply. About registration. We did applied for undergraduate study February uptill now that the visa is not out yet. I believe it wont really be a big problem at the vfs in terms of Registration. Though I did paid 1/3 of the school fees and the proof was part of the documents submitted. Please I would appreciate ur input |

Predstan: Lol.. This is for Someone that have travelled once before... You surely don’t understand what those guys are doing to First timer. They won’t smile with you because of whatever they want to get from you. The Nigeria immigration will ask you for BtA and tell u that you must have 1000Bta thy will ask that you go get it but will seize your passport. They will even tell u to give almost 20% of whatever BtA u have with you. I have seen someone who paid them about 100 from 500$ . The only way to solve this is to hold some naira currency so that you can just give them that little when it’s almost time to Board the plane. They have delayed many people that they missed their flight. I could remember my first time. I even gave 50$ after the other guy took me to another office and refused collecting naira while others collected naira. Threatening me that I will miss my flight. Being so young I have to gave in cos I was scared |
