Travel / Re: African Cities With Electric Metro Rails by MimiSheWrote(f): 3:11am On Jan 02, 2023
S. Africa: sizable Caucasian(white) population.
Morocco: Majority Arabs
Egypt: Majority Arabs
Algeria: Majority Arabs
Ethiopia: geographically, historically and genetically closely related to Arabs.

I'm a very proud black woman! And I honestly don't want to believe that development and advancement has everything to do with race or skin color! It's really embarrassing.

Note: it's not just about the rail stuff. If you visit any of the north African nations... Trust me, you would think you are already in Europe! Talking from experience...

You can hardly tell the difference between Tunis (Tunisia) and Venice (Italy)... The canals, iconic architecture, beautifully well planned cities and everything.

Yes.

The most important things are

1. Know what the problems are
2. Get the right people that can fix it.

After the dissolution of the USSR. Russia became weak and poor. It was one of the poorest country in Europe. Then Putin came and within 10-15 years. He transformed the country. Now Russia is among the top 15 countries with the strongest economy in the world.

shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

Arguing with a mad man will make you look like a mad man...

3 people are contesting but one has been crying like a woman... For his mind, he believes everyone must support him which is typical of igbos as a tribe. They believe everyone must do what they want them to do and if you don't Want to do it, they see you as an enemy.....

I could remember when Peter obi went to rivers and tried making jest of tinubu and still ended up lying abt Peter Odili..... Tinubu also went to speak and said "don't mention dt one, it is an insult, shey na statistics we go chop"

Obi went on TV and started crying like a love peddler dt has been denied of her short time fee...

A man that failed as a governor wants to be the president... God forbid

Peter Obi is simply an Igbo & Ip0b terrorist project..... Most Igbos terrorist are just supporting him because they know that once he wins, they will have the freedom to kill people anyhow. For now, they are killing their kinsmen, after obi enters, they might start doing it to other Nigerians..

Some igbos said, they don't want shettima bcox he has link with BH, tinubu is in charge of agbero and opc and we Nigerians are saying we don't want Peter Obi because he is in charge of IPOB terrorist that are killing his people and other tribes doing business in the east...

A true Nigerian project wunt cry foul, won't force others to agree with you, won't insult others bcox they have different opinions....

Peter Obi, listen and listen good.. You will never be the president of the nation..

The only Igbo I will vote when the time comes is Soludo or Umahi... These men are leaders with proven track records, not the failure that takes advice from a. Mad man...

I have said mine.... I know some Igbo Ip0bs will come and bash me, insult me, don't worry, I am unshaken..

It is just my opinion..
where is the punchline sir? I was reading till the end hoping to see your point eventually but all I see is an openly bitter man who naturally hates a particular tribe for no reason.

People like you are the problem we have in this country sir. Don't carry all that bitterness and hatred to 2023, it's not healthy sir.

How did the people in USA become this way??!

Were they born this way or were Africans and Nigerians created this way?!!

Such words and arguments like yours make me laugh!

Great leaders make great nations even out of the worst of people!

Akwa-Ibom became the cleanest state in Nigeria and one of the cleanest in West Africa not because the people all had a general sanitation epiphany out of the blues... Nope, a leader arose that saw the need for change, channeled efforts and resources to achieve this, convinced his people to walk the path, and it happened.

Waiting for sheep to lead themselves will never work please...!

Quit throwing blames at a rudderless and badly led people... If people could lead themselves, then why do we need to elect leaders?!!

So, point of correction:

If you take the leaders in today's Japan and replace them with those in Nigeria and vice versa, Nigeria will become a world power while Japan will become a third world nation!
Oh i get your point sire. but I said it takes more than the government to advance a nation, I didn't say the government ain't as important as the people on that quest.

And besides, It's still the 'people' that eventually win elections and become the 'government' right?

Nice one @OP

It takes way more than just the government to advance a nation. real development starts with the actual people, it starts with you and me.

The key is actually the general mentality.

See, If you find a way to swap every single person in the United States with everyone in Nigeria: in just a quarter century.. Nigeria would be way better that this present U.S.A, and the U.S.A as we know it now would automatically decline and reverse to a devoloping 3rd world country.

The duty of youths all over the world is to challenge and revolt against government corruption by any necessary means... In order to secure a brighter future for themselves.

But sadly, here in my country, the said Youths are the ones shamelessly screaming BATified all over the social media.

In a real country, as in.. In an actual working country. no party, I repeat no party... would allow this man run for any public office under their flag.

I mean, How can only one man be tagged in uncountable corruption scandals, drug trafficking, assassination of a political rival, toll gate tragedy, money laundering, just to name few. And yet? Some People are still rallying up for him regardless? people with actual working brain?

And you are wondering why 100% of all black dominated nations in the world are underdeveloped and poor? This is why.

It's nothing spiritual, just post traumatic stress disorder.

Lol

Untill we get off our high slowpoke giant horse and realize that we are ragging way-way behind, I don't see any improvement any time soon.

And our leaders seem relaxed, no sense of competition, no determination... They are only concerned about power, their 8years and moving enough money to their offshore accounts.

No real patriotism or sense of nationalism, and they are all shameless... Like how do they even stare other world leaders in the eyes at international function?

I feel really disappointed when I see youths glorifying these politicians... For what exactly? Oh thanks for nothing!

Peter Obi doesn't believe in hand outs, imagine a billionaire who's daughter works as an ordinary school teacher? Meanwhile Tinubu's agbero son was spotted rocking almost $1m Richard Miller's wrist watch? You do the math.

Corrupt politicians, political Godfathers and oligarchs in Nigeria have been milking this country dry since the British left.
They are actually the ones fighting against Peter Obi by all means, cos they know he's going to worry them... Just like he did in Anambra, why did you think he was impeached as a Governor?

You as a common Nigerian wey hunger dey wire up and down go follow Oligarchs dey fight the man? Because of Tribalism or religion? when hunger no send your religion and your tribe.

Culture / Re: Yorubas And Igbos Once Spoke The SAME Language - Evidence by MimiSheWrote(f): 1:41am On Dec 24, 2022
RedboneSmith:

2000 years sef far. If we go back just 500 years ago, it will be extremely hard, to communicate with our own people. Forget 1000 years ago. You will understand nothing.

When you look at languages that have a long history of writing you'll realise how true this is. Take English for example. Shakespeare wrote his plays 450 years ago. English speakers today struggle to understand him. In school, we had to use the glossary pages to make sense of plays like Macbeth and Merchant of Venice. Another English writer, Chaucer, wrote Canterbury Tales 630 years ago. I have tried to read it. I no understand wetin him dey talk. And this was "only" 630 years ago.
Fact.

Lol people are really naive... You only need common sense to know that OP is making sense... Cos an apple doesn't fall far away from its tree.

Yoruba and Igbo are too close geographically not to have shared the same ancestors or language at some point... Language evolves faster than you can imagine.

If you managed to travel back in time to about 2000 years ago as an Igbo or yoruba, I doubt you would understand a single word coming out of your ancestors mouth.

The only sad thing about we Africans is that our history wasn't properly documented. Just some embarrassing mythical stories
