Family / Re: Why Do People Get Married Especially Men Knowing Fully Well They Can't Cater For by MimiSheWrote(f): 3:26pm On Dec 14, 2023
Marriage is not actually compulsory.

The reason most humans throughout history traditionally see marriage as a necessity is simply psychological and basic instinct, it's one of the traits we evolved along the way to encourage reproduction and ensure the continuation of our specie.

Did you know that many other mammals out there also practice "marriage" ?? (They may not walk down the isle holding their father hand in the traditional human sense) But they sure understand the assignment.

With all that being said.

DO YOU REALLY "NEED" TO GET MARRIED?

Well... marriage can be a beautiful, wonderful and fulfilling experience with many advantages(and also disadvantages) for many people, but it is not right for everyone.
Individuals should think with clear head, bypass any basic instinct, any traditional-cultural pressure... other people's opinion. consider your own need and circumstances fully well before deciding marriage is right for you.

"Your LIFE is yours to live" (read that again)

Everytime Igbo this... Igbo that...
Igbos are naturally too busy with hustling, it's almost the only thing Igbos care about. So I don't think the Igbos are that obsessed with any tribe in Nigeria, It's actually the other way around, obviously.

Because of cool weather & positive influence of whites, S/Africa will probably be the best choice.
Positive influence of "whites"? As much as I got your point, people don't talk like that in 2023. As a black person you sound like a white worshipper.

"Positive influence of their racial diversity" would have been more appropriate.

Nigerian leaders are so shameless.

How can you boldly talk of having bad roads as if it's not the duty and responsibilities of the leaders to fix it
lol IKR... That should tell you the kind of mentality our leaders have.

Yet you still see people especially the youth's supporting and cheering these MFs! When they should be staging a nation wide revolution smh.
Our politicians are irresponsible, corrupt and incompetence.. only because we Nigerians allow them to be.
Majority of Nigerians have a very low IQ! Just a sad fact... And more sadly, Our politicians already know this.

Awwww i really love this, they look really beautiful.

There's something extraordinarily unique about Northern/Muslim women's culture... their style n swagger. They always stand out effortlessly from the rest of the country.

As a proud Igbo from Delta state, I can boldly tell you that Northerners are my second favorite people in Nigeria, well... Just slightly behind my people. To hell with tribalism!

Nigeria give them food, water, shelter, education, roads and electricity.

Even during the Biafra war they were not completely eliminated because of the love Nigeria still had for them.

Even after the civil war they were still accommodated and given freedom but how do they pay back their host?

Why do Igbos still want the downfall of Nigeria?

Why do they always want bad news about Nigeria?

Igbos Maka why?

This write up shows You are obviously part of the reasons sire.

People like you feel like the basic necessities Igbos get from the Nigerian government is a privilege, a hand out or a charity.
Despite the Igbos being a major contributor to the Nigerian economy... and even the biggest contributor when you include the SS region, which was proudly part of the original and historical people of "Bia-fara" (Biafra)....... All before they were brainwashed and fed with cheap propaganda.(story for another day)

The truth is, the so called Nigerians.. almost in general do not feel like Igbos belong, they do not feel like Igbos are part of Nigeria.
An average Nigerian automatically hates Igbos as a tribe... and would gladly suffer under any corrupt politician as long as it takes than have an Igbo person as a president even for just an hour, Sadly.

The hatred is right there, it's real and that deep. So what do you expect from such victims in return huh? ultimate loyalty? Patriotism? Oh you expect them to passionately shed tears during the Nigerian national anthem??
No pal... That's not how this stuff works.

Igbos are still trying hard to completely heal/recover from the civil war, but the whole daylight marginalization/hatred from almost the entire nation is not helping the process. Instead, it's creating more new generation of Igbos that feel more and more emotionally detached from the idea called Nigeria.

As a very proud Igbo from Delta state, I can boldly tell you that Igbos are the political victims here... So whatever you get from the Igbos today or tomorrow is just a mare natural response you would get from any similar political victim around the world.

One thing about hatred is that it only leads to more Hatred in return and back again... just basically going back and forth like ping pong.

Feel free to quote me with your own version of hatred.... But fact remains the fact.

Religion / Re: Why Did You Leave Your Previous Church? by MimiSheWrote(f): 10:21am On Oct 08, 2023
As a proud Christian (A catholic) I keep telling everyone that excess diversity/Freedom we now have in Christianity is the #1 contributor to it's recent constant decline globally.

Christianity started declining immediately other christian sects started breaking away from the vatican (The Catholic church).
It was a big mistake and I think the vatican should have done even more to hold the church and religion together.

Cos now every psychopath named Joe or Lizzy can now invent their own "church" for profit or God knows what.. each with their own different weird doctrine.... Making Christianity look bad and like a total joke in general.

You might think i'm saying this because I'm a catholic, but I'm not... I'm only stating the fact.

If Christianity had stick to the first church (The Catholic) it would still have it's old glory, influence, dominance and global respect till today... atleast.

Now I'm not saying that the Catholic is perfect, it sure has its own short comings too,but there is no doubt that it's the most mature, organized, most conservative and probably the most disciplined of all the christian group/sect till today. This remains the fact... regardless how much you hate the catholic church and the ugly things your hate filled envious "Pastor" has told you about the catholic church(That doesn't have his or her time)

In addition... I also have much respect for few other christian sects, such as the Orthodox and Anglican church... just to be fair.

LoL No sensible Nigerian take this Dumbo jumbo serious... He types without his brain. He is extremely annoying, a desperate attention seeking drama queen...
He probably stays up most nights thinking of a new gibberish to tweet inorder to remain relevant.

Here on NL.. I automatically skip 98% of any topic that got anything atall to do with him.

Seriously, I personally will never understand why the yeye man gets so much attention from the media, especially here on NL... It's almost like NL Mods are obsessed with him.
He doesn't deserve any of that attention, and obviously he seems to be enjoying the 'highness' he gets from it.

Taxi... this is my stop!

@OP nice one sire. we don't get to see interesting and educative topics like this on this forum smh. It's always about BBnaija and other craps!

Reason an average Nigerian lack basic knowledge in world history.

If you ask 100 random Nigerian men how Adolf Hitler died... You would probably get around 99 wrong answers.
Ask 100 women the same question, you would get 200 wrong answers(The female are worse, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it because I'm a female)

Meanwhile, there are 11 years old boys/girls who could recite all past BBNAIJA winners from season one to present.

Not funny...

* "Those who do not know the past are condemned to repeat it"

* "Ignorance is dangerous, it is the biggest obstacle to development and a slayer of civilizations"

Sweet Catholic

I mean what else do you expect from the oldest and the most powerful church in the world.

Hate it or love it, The Catholic church is still the most mature, most serious, most disciplined and of course the most majestic Christian sect in the world till today.

The Catholic is the reason other religions still have respect for Christianity around the world. Cos these days, mostly in Africa... every Adam or Eve keep inventing new random, weird and strange Churches everyday, each with their own yuckish doctrine and practices, embarrassing Christianity generally as a religion!

It's really sad the disgusting things we see and hear these days about all these random Churches out there.. (Again, mostly in Africa!) just so so sad and embarrassing.

I'm not trying to say that the Catholic church is 100% perfect though... Cos nothing is 100% perfect, but you got my point.

And shout out to Anglican and Orthodox too.

Just Imagine smh.

This is exactly why having a tightfisted (stringy) leader is not such a bad idea.

Nigerians missed a one in a billion chance of finally getting things right in Nigeria during the last general election. But we allowed "tribalism and religion" get in the way... The same exact tools our politicians have been using to their advantage over and over again, and yet somehow we still fall for it till today.
