Yeah, your day is their night, and your night is their day. Freelancing was quite interesting and I miss it too.

Having to move to working in a brick-and-mortar organization, waking up to dress up for work hasn't been all that fun grin grin
Yes, it paid my bills back then but I have moved higher in my professional path which is a mix of remote and in-person rota.
Family › Re: My Husband Hates Me For Giving Birth To Three Girls – Housewife Tells Court by Mindlog:
Zonefree:

Never believe the words of a Nigerian woman. There are more to her story. Until you hear from the man, never conclude on anything.

You want custody of the children you can't take care of undecided
You expect the court to grant custody to the man to hand over to his second wife to treat as she likes while their mother is still alive?

The court would grant her custody and the man would be told to make provisions for their four children.

E born 3 girls and one boy, werey still dey complain.

In the future as adults, the same daughters he is now neglecting will be emotionally blackmailed to forgive their father and reach out in order to provide for him.

A freelancer... The hardest part is staying awake all night and sleeping when others are going to work or at work🌝
You just have a different schedule from others but still the same 24hrs.

I do at times miss my freelancing days, had control of my time and earned well from it but have moved on.

Politics › Re: Sense Of Entitlement Syndrome In Nigeria Too Much – Ngige by Mindlog:
bukatyne:
Quite interesting.

A win for both parties.

That way, the Govt can regulate if they are serious and truth worthy.
But the Federal Government have chosen not to be smart about it angry

Even state governments can build more medical universities and nursing schools, get their qualified indigenes enroll into the institutions, export their skills after training with their own percentage in the contract and the remittance those health workers would send home regularly would boost the economy of their various states.
Politics › Re: Sense Of Entitlement Syndrome In Nigeria Too Much – Ngige by Mindlog: 8:49pm On May 01, 2023
bukatyne:
So what do you suggest as a middle ground?

While Ngige makes sense, he and his crew do not have the moral stand to oppose Medical personnel leaving as soon as they can because they have failed to equip the health institutions, create healthy working conditions for health care workers, and renumerate them properly.

They have also not addressed their disgraceful habit of medical tourism.
The middle ground is government being involved in the overseas recruitment of Nigerian doctors trained in our public universities.

Let me cite an example, the former Kenyan President went to the UK in 2021 and signed a bilateral agreement with the UK to supply their health sector with thousands of Kenyan trained nurses who were at that time not employed, for each Kenyan nurse recruited to work in the UK, the UK govt pays the Kenyan government certain amount alongside "something" from the Nurses' salary.

Here is an excerpt of what their President announced today "President William Ruto on Monday said his government is seeking to sign ten new bilateral agreements that will see Kenya send more workers to European, North American and Middle Eastern countries. Addressing Kenyans during the Labour Day celebrations at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi, the president said most of these will go to Germany, which he said has recently been lobbying for Kenyan workers. He said he will host the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the country later this week and sign bilateral labour agreements to that effect"

Cuba government make money from sending their doctors to go work overseas, Nigeria can also do that so that money for subsidizing medical education in public universities can be funded with those earned foreign currencies as we become a conveyor belt for trained medical doctors as we have many young Nigerians who are very eager to study medicine.
