Is it not delusional wanting others to believe what your religion interprets of figures in other people's religion as you want those who practice Judaism and Christianity to accept king David as a prophet based on a religion that came up centuries later? huh

Each religion and its adherents know who their Prophets and Kings were, an outsider can't impose on them who they were.

You need to first invest in it yourself!

You already have the space, get one or two blackboards and few wooden benches then go meet parents in the neighbourhood and give them your flyers that you offer English language and Maths evening lessons for primary school kids at good rate and guaranteed improvement in their children' academics.

Work with what you have on ground but if you can't, then look for something else to do.

One who is staying with an older brother who is unmarried should be conscious of the fact that once marriage cones into the picture, things change and one must plan his/her exit way ahead.

Once your brother gets married, know your title has changed to guest and that kitchen you zoomed in and out when he was a bachelor will become a shrine, going by the Nigerian context because there is a Priestess now in charge! cheesy

There are men who are drawn only to older women. Other renowned footballers like Ibrahimovic (wife is 12 years older) Cesc Fabregas (wife is 11 years older) Sergio Ramos (wife is 8 years older) etc.

Generalization is a dangerous mindset.

I know many Christian women whose husbands are practicing moslems, who are not married to other women alongside them and liberal, that their wives still attend their Churches.

Yes, it was strong back then in Lagos. I recall when visiting the other centre (Queen of Peace) that was about 5 streets away from our own centre (Seat of Wisdom) , we the kids would be on a single file according to our heights and march to the other centre reciting the rosary, we were a spectacle likewise the other centre, when they come visiting our centre.

Beautiful childhood memories. cheesy

I liked Block Rosary only during Christmas seasons because then we only held short prayers, then we'd go on congress, visiting each member's house day after day, singing and beating drums, then the parents would give us gifts (like drinks, biscuits, candles, cash...)

At the end of it, the brothers will then share everything among us.

I doubt if Block Rosary centres are still functional in Lagos, my centre (which no longer exist) produced 2 SMA Priests and a Reverend Sister. wink

May not necessarily be pregnancy, I have attended such weddings in some rural communities where expectations are very, very low.

They never used cane in ours, neither were they that strict (though there was no fun) but I could never understand why my brother hated going.
Block Rosary was what I did not like because we had to go everyday.

Block Rosary was sure banker because it was held in our compound for some years, my sister was in charge of setting up the altar and prayers started by 6p.m, Monday to Friday with Catholic kids from the neighbourhood, phew...it was rowdy! cheesy

On a reflective note, I think back then those handling the classes didn't make it fun for kids, still remembering Uncle Slyvester and his cane! cheesy

I usually like to drop by at my local parish here in Cambridge to observe the catechism classes and it is so much fun for the kids and they are always so excited for the next class.

My brother hated going so much, you can't imagine what he made us do to avoid going.
I told my mum the other day what we did as kids, and she couldn't believe her ears.

Boys ehn...their audaciousness can give their sisters high blood pressure.

I also had my own fair share of truancy, missing classes Saturday and Sunday evenings and my elder sis who is now a Rev. Sr. was my partner in truancy, we dey branch to go play! cheesy

For the third picture, a child support service worker ought to have knocked on his door within hours and days that picture was uploaded!

Those bottle feeding their babies while their concentration is somewhere else are risking the baby, choking.....I see nothing funny in them but rather endangering the baby's life.
