he should be selfish abeg, just 1 AFCOAN goal so far, for our talisman??.
Against Tunisia, there is this chest control and heading down pass he gave to Lookman that he blazed over the bar, walai Osimhen for slap that shot inside the net instead of heading it down to lookman…na those kind goals he dey score for europe

Nigeria to face 3rd place team from Either group B(Angola) or F(Mozambique)
now it’s likely both to qualify to r16…Mozambique on 3pts, Angola on 2pts.
If Tunisia beats Tanzania(which is likely on paper) and Nigeria beat Uganda(which is also likely on paper), both Angola(group B) and Mozambique (group F) will qualify to R16

The question is who are we gonna face, cos they are both 95% qualified to R16

This your current eagles may not even reach the final this time around, why don’t you wait till the end of this Afcon before you conclude.
You said MAY, so it also mean they MAY aswell get to the final..so lets wait till the end

The best team don’t win tournaments most times. CIV was not the best team in the last tournament in fact the current team is way better than the team that won the Afcon as hosts. Lots of factors play out in winning a tournament (both off and off the pitch and yes including officiating) even when the eagles won in 2013 they were not the best team. CIV with drogba and yaya toure were much better but were beaten by the eagles. The better sides don’t win always.
i agree better teams dont usually win sometimes…but you see that last afcon final
CIV were the better team…in group stage they were poor, but some how luck from other results help them crawl into the knockout stage, where they gather momentum and became a very solid side…ref did not help them anything…their then interim coach found a winning formular to brush opponents aside

The final match was full of ref bias and it was well narrated and commented upon on this thread you can go back and check. No host will get to the final and not do everything to win. There’s also pressure on the referee anytime the host is in any crucial stage of a tournament especially when they come across a very strong opponent. At the group stage when we met Ivory Coast we weren’t considered a threat after we had a shaky start in our first game it was after we won Ivory Coast in that group game we went on a roll to the final. All odds were stacked against us in that final and that’s the disadvantage of playing the host in a final.
they don’t need to get to the final, make dem no just meet team wey better pass them, i never see ojoro wey dem wan do to stop them…South Africa wan kill host Egypt in2019 afcon

bros what whenever we lose a match, people in this forum will always look for one or two things to hinge blame on…..That game was ours for the taking…..wether ref bias or not, a good sound team will beat that CIV team…our yeye jpes tactics coupled with over usage of players made us loose that final…e no ojoro anything….CIV won that final clean with clean goals…super eagles started pegging back when CIV found their mojo in that final…not that there was a penalty call for us that was not given….or we scored a goal that was cancel…or they gave CIV a dubious penalty to win us….those guys calmed down studied us, came extra psyched up and fired us wetin no good…that final was a balanced final…

Officiating was terrible in first half as they were kicking our players all over the place and the refs looked on which made jpes furious and got a card. How’s that fair?

Off the pitch many Nigerians couldn’t get into the stadium despite having tickets. Some had to disguise as Ivorians to get in. So much for fairness indeed

Morocco has the playbook already. Don’t worry
so how did we now beat them in first leg…bros they wired us fair and square..no refree ojoro wateva

They gave it to Ivory Coast too so why not Morocco!
how did they give it to Ivory coast naaa…Ivory coast simply rode on football luck to win that cup, it was not like they favoured them anywhere.
Their round 16 vs Senegal was a also a game of luck winning on penalties.
Their quarterfinal against Mali was a sweet come back they did beating Chelle’s Mali in the die mins
Their final against us, they outplayed us clean clean and won the cup…there was nothing like ojoro

Zimbabwe just equalised vs South Africa. Ouch!
i swear Zimbabwe playing their last home game in SA was a huge advantage to SA, this Zimbabwe would have beaten SA in Harare clean clean and given 9ja straight ticket to the world cup…..Zimbabwe is really showing them that they are not pushovers

the line up is good, but one ineligible player is there..plss he is still not yet a Nigerian player🤪🤪😂

im still wondering why Osimhen’s first goals was ruled offside….go and watch Aubameyang’s goal vs Mozambique…its just same goal from a rebound shot, where Aubameyang was already waiting in same position where Osimhen stayed to latch on to a shot

So you think Afcon will be hosted in North Africa and they will easily allow any sub Sahara country to win it. It will take serious prayers and fasting for any non North African country to win this Afcon. We should thank God non of our players was red carded on Saturday night especially those bad tackles by Ajayi and Nwabali
it will really take a miracle, i feel the 31 years record will be broken this year…The last non North African country to win afcon on the North African soil is Nigeria since the Tunisia 1994 Afcon

Tunisia 1994 =Nigeria
Tunisia 2004 = Tunisia
Egypt 2006 = Egypt
Egypt 2019 = Algeria
Morocco 2025 = ?
This Morocco team looks ordinary to me jare, if Mali can play them that way..they are not too good jare…

vs Tanzania we were dominant and Iwobi was just splitting the Tanzanians with eagle’s eye passes but what was missing was the numerous chances wasted.

Vs Tunisia we were hugely dominant, but what was missing was keeping clean sheet

Vs Uganda…..??
