Goke7: We Nigerians are the problem castigating our nation so badly on social media and singing more praises of other countries who can’t lace our boots so the world out there thinks we are a finished country with scammers and bad governance in terms of leadership in short they think we are like Somalia or any war torn nation so when they see us do well in sports they are kind of shocked and wonder where the magic is from. See that Benin guy cursing osihmen as he can’t believe that after we struggled to beat Lesotho we came out to hammer his country 4-0.
We too need to stop overrating these countries over Nigeria and give the impression they are better when indeed they are not. Even Ghana in recent times has not done better than Nigeria a country who last won Afcon in 1980 or so. I even see some people here hyping South Africa and tomorrow if we hammer them then the hating will start again. Even CIV despite winning us in Afcon are not head and shoulders over us. Only Senegal and Egypt(which we can still beat) I can say are ahead. A country producing two APOTYs in a row is still a powerhouse even if the team flounders at times. asin eehn even Libya sef dey beef us till now….Gambia,Namibia,Eswatini,South Sudan and the rest will soon join….and these countries will be beaten like tiff by morocco,Algeria and egypt of this world and they will take their losses in good faith…bit if na 9ja beat them serious hate go start |

QueenJazz: Apart from Cameroon, Morocco and sometimes Ghana, we should be infuriated at the audacity of all the other teams to think they can banter with Nigeria in soccer, especially given our pedigree.
Dem don really see us finish. its so so annoying, from the days CAR started beating us at home to these days where Lesotho will he holding us to a draw… |

BankyGee: You should say like 100+ odds 🙄
For percentage: The lower the percentage, the lower the chance. The higher the percentage, the higher the chance.
For odds: The lower the odds, the higher the chance. The higher the odds, the lower the chance.
So, basically: That 👆🏾 your statement means that 99% of the time, Victor Osimhen's goals for the Super Eagles will dry up. chai and i no quickly reason am that way😂😂😂 thanks jare |

Goke7: Don't just go there. Lookman has been the star of his club, even after his Europa heroics, right up until he started having issues with his coach and the transfer saga, which has led to the psychological downturn currently affecting his form. The same happened to Osihmen until he found joy again in Turkey. We also know all sorts that were said about Osihmen right on this thread when he was going through all his travails.
If Osihmen's goals dry up again, so we will go back to what we are trying to do with Ademola now, abi. Nigerians na wa for una. Fair weather people! the chances of osimhen goal drying up for super eagles is like a 1.01 odd ooo |

in the last 5-6-7-8yrs any african team we beat suddenly become our enemy on social media and they start to heavily beef us and wish for the our downfall SA Ghana Cameroon Zambia CIV(started during afcon group stage) Morocco(wafcon effect) Bfaso(playoff saga) Lesotho Zimbabwe Angola(during afcon) even tiny Benin don dey dey wish us bad…
But i observe if these teams face each other and beat themselves they dont hold that grudge/beef for long…like this now eehn all of them just gang up now dey hate anything Nigeria all over social media….wetin dey sup na…. Anyways i will blame super eagles generation from 2015 till date that has given most of these teams a head lifter that we are beatable hence whenever we beat them it pains them like we are not suppose to beat them… |

we really underrated and came unprepared against teams like Lesotho,Zimbabwe and Benin at the start of the qualifiers…now we dare not underrate Drc,Gabon and Cameroon… Nigeria and Cameroon were the sleeping giant of the group stage, Allowing teams Like SA and Capeverde top the group to qualify….DRC and Gabon is understandable, cos they had Senegal and CIV to contend with respectively….so it wasnt gonna b easy for them….i see both giant Nigeria and Cameroon waking up form to dispatch those teams to reach the final… Nigeria vs Cameroon will be cr@zy….they will be very stubborn this time around |

CAF should ensure all the last games of the WCQ are played at the same time for fairness. hmm this is also a good option |

TheSuperNerd: It is not unfair if the system applied to all. Same metric. Same rule. You forget that as at 3-0, we were on our way out. If BFA had bagged results or scored more against other sides, they would be in better position.
Also, the letter addressing and reemphasizing the rule was sent since March 2025 or so. So it did not take anyone by surprise. BFA should go rest and prepare for Afcon. yeaa true |

QueenJazz: Abeg Burkina Faso players and fans should rest abeg. They're bloody hypocrites. I'm sick and tired of reading their complaints online.
It's the audacity for me: accusing CAF and FIFA of systemic bias when you're attacking a rule that was explicitly designed to ensure equitable comparison across nine groups with unequal number of teams. Just lets you know they don't really care about justice. They only care because they got the short end of the stick.
The teams in the 5-group category, no thanks to Eritrea's withdrawal, would have faced an insurmountable mathematical deficit if Burkina's "easy wins" were counted. Do they care about that? No, because that's not their problem. Afterall it's not their group.
Isn't it funny how people only seek justice when the system doesn't favor them? When it favors them, they won't mind it at all, lol.
They should be livid and hostile towards their own football association (FA), and not FIFA. Their footballing government should have taken note of the Eritrea situation, and anticipated the possibility of getting knocked out of the second place table, and go all out in their last two games against Ethiopia and Sierra Leone.
Abegi! 😀 |

BascoVanVeli: Only thing I didn't like was allowing Benin to have the ball for way too long. That style of play isn't sustainable. U are basically asking the other team if they have the quality to beat you. sir, so long as African football is concerned, there will surely be moments like that, we cant have it all 100% accurate….Benin came into this match as group leader ooo….everyteam will surely bring their A game. Benin also have europe based stars that can also run us riot….At confederation cup 2013, there was a time in the game vs almighty Spain, that we held the ball more that than d spaniards |

14/11: Nicaragua vs Honduras 19/11: Costarica vs Honduras.
For Costarica. 14/11. Haiti vs Costa rica 19/11. Costarica vs Honduras (possible decider).
Meanwhile Costarica needs to be careful oo or else Either Suriname or Panama can overtake them in second team ranking. They seem to be draw specialists like Nigeria.
For me if possible let Caracao and Suriname come out from cCONCACAF. Surname and Cocoa industry |

in as much as i wouldn’t wanna overflog the SA issue of the unfair advantage of having 7matches played in their soil….CAF needs to do better…if a team doesn’t have a home ground its better they are ejected from the qualifiers or go for a fair ground….

with the way Eric Chelle’s Mali played at the Afcon, if he had started this Qualifying campaign with us, walai, our group leadership gap with SA,Benin and Rwanda would have been like heaven and earth..
This Eric chelle will beat all the teams in that our group home and away maybe a draw in SA sha, but you see all this teams… The way he started his campaign against Rwanda away in 2-0 win was a ruthless one…Even without Osimhen in those first 4games there is no way Chelle would have lost away toBenin, or draw Lesotho in Nigeria….Osimhen was substituted very early in the first half against a stubborn Rwanda side but managed to get us a “Tolu” to do the job. A coach that could identify talent and give a cal up to: Akor Adam Benjamin Frederick Felix Agu Tolu etc will not rest until he gets an almost new starting 11 of new fresh talents… |

Chai intercontinental play off in march 2026 go dey interesting sha, let me start my own simulated prediction 🤪🤪😜 Intercontinental play of teams Conmebol (1)= Bolivia 🇧🇴 OFC(1) = New caledonia 🇳🇨 AFC (1)= winner between Iraq vs UAE 🇦🇪 (i pick UAE) Concacaf (2)= Curacao 🇨🇼 and Costa rica 🇨🇷 CAF(1) = Nigeria 🇳🇬 (my prediction 😀)
Now this is how it will be arranged from fifa source:
2unseeded teams faces each other from two different brackets more like:
bracket 1: (New caledonia 🇳🇨 vs Bolivia 🇧🇴) my pick : Bolivia to win bracket 2( Curacao 🇨🇼 vs UAE 🇦🇪) my pick: UAE 🇦🇪 to win
then winner from the 2 bracket of unseeded teams will now face the top seeded teams according to fifa ranking for the remaining 2slots for 2026 Fifa worldcup
More like: Nigeria 🇳🇬 vs UAE 🇦🇪 Costa rica 🇨🇷 vs Bolivia 🇧🇴
My pick: Nigeria 🇳🇬 and Costa rica 🇨🇷 to be the 2 final qualified nations |
