I agree with him. Go for a coach that has faced similar presures and fared well. Still not a guarantee but a more calculated decision. And also have the long term in mind.

Chelle wasn't doing well with Mali in WC qualification
omo the way you people are so robotic about this football eehn…this rigid mindset doesn’t work in football ooo…its not asif Chelle was just picked from the roadside to come coach SE.
Im sure many finished Keshi back then for including sunday mba and dropping some more illustrious to afcon 2013 sqaud…

capping capping capping everywhere.
hire Herve renard
hire Tom Sanfiet
hire Pep Guardiola
Hire Eric Chelle
Employ Sia Sia
if the goal and mindset is to qualify SE at all cost to world cup, then all amount to gambling…e no sure any coach..all of them will come and try their luck.
respect NFF decisions of who they chose to gamble with….at this point Grade A or Grade B or Grade C no matter in our March Crucial qualifiers….when situations has entered level of gamble or rushing, e no sure any coach again..anyone can come in and try his luck.
Emerse Far came in and luckily gambled his way to final beating all so called grades especially that Senegalese coach and our foreign grade A peseiro

Then we should have continued with Finidi and take risk cos we saw some beautiful football too
which kind continue with Finidi.
Eric Chellea first two matches as coach of Mali
(Mali 4-0 Congo)
(S/Sudan 1-3 Mali)

Finidi first two matches
June 2024 (Nig 2-1 Gha)
June 2024(Nig 0-2 Mali)

which one gives hope to stick faith with?

Does it mean no communication between the NFF and MC Oran before announcing their coach as the Super Eagles new coach.

It feels embarrassing to me.

I am actually expecting nothing less than an explosive Super Eagles under Chelle. Our players need to buy into his philosophy and embrace him.

If they soak in his knowledge of the game, I see the Super Eagles flying high and becoming one of the most fierce national sides in the game.
Gbam God bless you sir….

The same mistake he made against CIV at AFCON, late minute goals. I hope he had learnt from them. We can now see how unlucky he was with the 3 matches he lost out of 22 while coaching Mali...late minute goals..anyway, Nwabali will help out, na time waster...(just kidding).
im not totally sold out on Chelle sha, but common the guy showed us how to beat some mumu teams silly…we just need to be hopeful and see what he can offer…omo me im hopeful oo

Oct 2023 (Nigeria 2-2 Saudi Arabia)

even without Chelle as coach in 2021 Mali flog Rwanda home and away🤣🤣3-0,1-0…whats even wrong with our boys sef…all this our foreign based guys should just give themselves small respect naaaa haba

The Super Eagles he beat, South Africa, Burkina Faso, Saudi Arabia are not good oppositions?

If you want to see his real attacking football display, just go watch the Saudi game, even with like 2 big chances missed, crossbar hit and great goalkeeper saves, he still won 1–3... That match for end like 6 in favour of Mali, dey play.

With the Super Eagles squad and proper mentality and attitude from the boys, no worry yourself, you go come deny say you talk all these things.
Referee even canceled one of their goals oo…so surprising that win came 6 days after we were arguing if boniface score his first super eagles goal or not…the way that man team take flog saudi arabia like mad ppl was very laughable 🤣🤣…Super eagles dey follow dem draw 2-2🤣

4points from march qualifiers is even more realistic…either we draw away to rwanda and beat zimbabwe at home, or we win away to Rwanda and draw zimbabwe at home…you guys should start looking at things with real reasoning…we are not that bad, even during afcon qualifiers we topped the group having teams like Benin,Rwanda in it…i blame the boys for losing to Rwanda at home…on a normal day dem suppose collect beating

If weak teams can frustrate you defensively, then you should also have that defensive style in your toolkit when you meet bigger opponents. Na that versatility we need for the long term.
i use to love AE but the way them use talk tear am down, my moral just dropped, bit with the hiring of Chelle, small hope just rush to me oo…Chelle just need that defensive shock absorbers… then we are good to go

Amen ooo, i feel he loses those die minutes matches against bigger opponents with greater football pedigree than mali…you cant be leading CIV,Gha,Cam,Egy with a 1-0 and expect them not to fight back and win you even if you are outplaying them…but trust me teams like Rwanda, zimbabwe…im sure he will dominate them from start to finish

the truth is we've had games we outplayed our opponents or even had decent goals ruled out and we did not get the maximum points.. I think in football there is time to play conservative and play all attack especially when you know your opponents are better as in these two cases (according to you)

modified
I'm saying this coach needs to learn when to switch up play and be conservative. I think that's pretty a basic thing though i'm not a coach.
if you are going to be all out attack all the time, you will be met with situations like these.
true tok sha i feel Chelle should work on that area of his game….locking things up at the back…
the man so believe in scoring more goals to kill you off thats why those games come back to hunt him…
Against SA at the afcon after that 1-0 baba no rest he was still pumping and forgetting his defense.
Against Saudi Arabia we played 2-2 with, when his boys faced them they were leading 1-0 them they scored a second goal which was canceled they still went ahead and finish off saudi with 2more goals ending to make it 3-1…
days before afcon started they faced Gui bissau in a friendly thumping them a 6-2, while we struggled to beat them 1-0 at the afcon

tru sha,but most of those games we dominated and lost use to have us as the better team in terms of pedigree and class…not like this one where mali is dominating Ghana…Ghana is a better footballing nation than mali but mali dominated them same for CIV….Like the game against Gui bissau in Abuja…we played them clean clean but they won us, we are a better team in pedigree than Gui bissau and some i can’t remember…

Mali 1-2 Ghana

Mali in white

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWNTHBwQ4W8
this is just a replica of what happened at the afcon vs CIV, Mali played direct and full attacking football…same last minute defensive error cost them again in this game…mali played Ghana hands down…as expected you don’t expect Ghana to be having all round bad games back to back na…this was after their poor afcon outing i gues…Ghana and CIV is bigger than mali in football, but mali played them clean clean

That is the problem,
He might perform very well without qualifying, if SA wins their remaining matches and draw us, they qualify ahead of us.

Over our next two games, I am expecting nothing more than 4 points.
we played well away to Rwanda compared to the nonsense we played against them in uyo…in kigali, lookman was denied a clean goal to nail them to their cross and that was when qualifiers was still very hot..that rubbish we played in uyo no b am….they are beatable at home, Benin did it there, as for Zimbabwe those one can drag you to a scoreless draw match eehn..them and uganda are one of the mumulized teams i hate watching against super eagles…but we just need to do them small thing in uyo…even if na 1-0🤣

shey make i predict march games?🤣🤣
Okay leggo
Rwa vs Nig (9ja to win)
Zim vs Ben (draw match)
SA vs Les (SA to win)

next match
Nig v Zim(9ja to win)
Ben v SA (Ben to draw)
Rwa v Les (draw match)

After March the group will look like this
SA 11pts
Nig 9pts
Ben 9pts
Rwa 8pts
Les 6pts
Zim 3pts
then we look up to september fixture next🤣🤣🤣
thats my simulation of prediction oo🙌🏻✍️✍️
