Joshthefirst: I just want to an honest word here: the bible states that there will be troubles, but as far as we follow Gods prescription of bibilical love, of giving and not expecting to receive, we will always scale through. The problem with most people, even christians, is that they try to limit God to the margins of their lives, to imprison him in the confines of the church building. When they fail at that, they refashion him to suit their consciences. Though people may claim they are christians, Jesus is not truly lord of their lives. He has no say in their lives, or decisions or actions, when the going gets tough, they push him completely aside and ignore him. They end up losing him, and never finding real satisfaction in Christs purpose for their lives.
The truth is that God is too big to "fit" into our lives. He's too big to "fit" into our marriages or careers, way to big and enormous. Once we became Christians, we accepted Jesus as LORD, not as goodluck charm or at our beck and call. We live our lives for him, he does not live his life for us. Our marriages and careers are his, we have no ambitions of our own. You see, it is only with this mentality of true discipleship that we will go through life fulfilling Gods purpose and finding satisfaction and scaling through every challenge.

God has said that marriage with a non-disciple is a no-no. It cannot work. He equated it to light and darkness. Light and darkness CANNOT MIX. Let us not decieve ourselves. Be practical. You did not just marry for yourselves, children will come, they will be raised, how will they be raised under God when the head of the house is godless?

When we go through Gods words and submit to him totally all the way(from choosing a christian partner he approves, to living a christian life with that partner) we will never fail as we walk in love(God-love). Love never fails.

Let us not just feel good when we hear Gods word or feel edified. Let us be practical christians, in our lives and deeds. God is making us, he is lord, he is big, and we must fit into his plans and purposes for our lives, not the other way around.

Remember, all things work together for good to all them that love God, to all them that are called according to his purpose(romans 8:28). Many times we read that verse in romans and forget that bolded part. All things work together for our good only when we walk in Gods purpose


Let us decide today not to just hear, but do Gods word. Let us be his disciples.
Let us walk in the realness of his word. Proving the eternal ancient word of God with our very lives.
