PoliticsRe: Fg’s Order: 15 Oil Accounts To Be Retained by Miranda11: 8:41am On Aug 17, 2015
But why must the Fed Govt use bank accounts of foreign banks in foreign countries, can't the CBN have a designated branch in these countries solely for the purpose of dollar deposits from crude sales, what is it that these foreign banks do that a branch of CBN in these countries can't do? CareerRe: NNPC Retires 1000 Staff by Miranda11: 8:34am On Aug 17, 2015
If the 1000 are incompetent and have no value to add, then they shld go because there are a lot of incompetent hands in NNPC. A lot of the staff were recruited on a man know man basis which is not bad if they are competent to do the job and can add value to NNPC, but unfortunately this has not been the case so what's the need keeping some1 that has no value to add that's just a waste of moneyed . That money can be used to employ pple who are more competent and have value to add in order to help NNPC become a more profitable and efficient corporation.

This cleansing should apply to the entire agencies and parastatals under the Ministry of Petroleum Resources and the federal civil service. To deserve a job with the Govt you must be competent to perform, gone are the days when incompetent pple are employed on a man know man basis. Change is truly here indeed.
PoliticsRe: Dear SEUN Modify/delete Tribal Hate Thread On Publication by Miranda11: 7:28pm On Aug 16, 2015
Spot on and I concur, cos it seems nairaland has become a forum where pple vent their frustrations at each other for no reason. Rather than pple focus on givin constructive views, it's degenerated into a tribal verbal war.

I've said it b4 n I'll say it again threads that r capable of inciting pple to tribal or Govt hatred shld be banned b4 publication. SEUN PLS TAKE NOTE.
CareerRe: NNPC Staff: Resume Before 8am Or Stay At Home by Miranda11: 4:15pm On Aug 16, 2015
Winning123:
Agree with you. Not sure this woman is a professional HR person. This order can be counter productive. Somebody needs to tell her that employees must be respected and treated with decorum. What matters is delivering on set KPIs not sending childish memo
This is where ur getting it wrong.
There is nothing disrespectful in telling employees to come to work early. Staff in NNPC are known to resume sometimes as late as 10.30/11 am and leave b4 4pm, how then do we all expect NNPC to be profitable and the staff to be productive when the staff are not punctual and their attitude towards work is poor. If putting in the required work hrs is too much 4 dem den they shld resign n employ pple who are willing to work as there are thousands lookin 4 jobs.

Besides repeated circulars have been sent to staff warning them on lateness and poor attitude towards work, so management have been left with no choice than to clamp down on dem.

And for ur insistence on delivering on KPI's, punctuality and time keeping is key to this in any organisation or company. Ask ur HR manager.

FOR ALL THE DISGRUNTLED CORRUPT PPLE THAT DONT WANT THE PROGRESS OF KACHIKWU , NAIJA AND BUHARI'S GOVT, I WILL REPEAT WHAT I POSTED ON THE ORIGINAL THREAD.

False propaganda going around again, he has barely been there tow weeks and he is being attacked, this is exactly what Kachikwu had reservations about and was why he almost refused the job offer if not dat Buhari convinced him to take it.

Retaining Komolafe is good so that when they are probing and auditing the crude oil sales he can be called on to give useful info since he knows the A-Z oh how the oil was sold. If dey let him go now he might disappear. And for all you haters how sure are you that Buhari did not approve him to be kept back for all this, if he contributed badly to the plunder n is no longer useful, then I'm sure he wld have been kicked out.

Dats why I will keep on saying do not believe everything that you read on the Internet as this cld just be the rant of d disgruntled ones who have been kicked out.
PoliticsRe: Bayelsa 2015: Buhari Deceives Bayelsa APC by Miranda11: 6:55pm On Aug 15, 2015
If Timpre Sylvia is the APC leader in Bayelsa no wonder Buhari didn't come as his appearance alongside Sylvia will not do his anti-corruption campaign or stance any good. It's best he keeps a respectable distance.

PoliticsRe: NNPC: More Officials May Go – Kachikwu by Miranda11: 7:14am On Aug 14, 2015
Sanity at last is returning to the sector, pls these reforms shld extend to all Fed Govt depts and parastatals and not just NNPC as a lot of incompetent hands have been employed and such pple have no value to add to the system.
PoliticsRe: NNPC To Sack More Staff, Set For Fresh Audit by Miranda11: 8:18pm On Aug 13, 2015
As long as this process will get rid of all the incompetent hands then this is fine. I beg it should extend to all the agencies and parastatals under the Ministry of Petroleum resources as a lot of incompetent pple have been employed.

PoliticsRe: Senators Reject Pay Cut Recommendation by Miranda11: 8:21am On Aug 13, 2015
All these Senators and Reps members are just a bunch of greedy people who are only interested in their pockets. Hardly any of them went there with the good intention of having there electorate in mind.

To cut the cost of governance what the Govt shld do is that before a campaign kicks off the Govt shld advertise what the pay is for senators so that when a person is vying for the post he knows what remuneration he is going to get and sign a binding agreement to that effect.

With the current economic situation in Naija and other parts of the World, the Govt shld tow a very tough line- tell them to either take a 30-50% pay cut or step down as there is no money to pay them at the current level, and the Govt should follow this through by drastically reducing their budget is all areas, then let me see what they will do afterall half bread is better than none. I bet you they will all take the half pay and not complain. Abi no be so the Oil Companies dey do, take a pay cut or quit.
PoliticsRe: Corruption Probe: Peace Committee Shocked In Meeting With President Buhari by Miranda11: 10:07am On Aug 12, 2015
That Patience and Dieziani are now having health issues, how does this compare to the hundreds of pple that are now suffering or have even died as a result of all the millions and billions of dollars that have been stolen by corrupt officials?

If it's true they have stolen money then they shld just quietly return everything and their health issues will go away, rather than be greedy and keep all the money and wNt to continue walkin around freely. After all Buhari has said that the Govt is willing to enter a plea bargain with them whereby they return the money they have stolen in exchange for prosecution. Is this not what Abacha's family have been doin and are any of them in prison now, so they shld also do the same. Our infrastructure is in dire need of overhaul so the Govt needs the money.

They have been spared prison for the time being and they are still stalling and faking health issues to avoid returning the money, this is just pure greed.
PoliticsRe: Buhari sacks NNPC subsidiary heads by Miranda11: 8:32pm On Aug 11, 2015

PoliticsRe: President Buhari To Head Ministry Of Petroleum For 18 Months: Punch by Miranda11: 7:01pm On Aug 10, 2015
Hmm the combination of Buhari + Kachikwu heading the Ministry of Petroleum and NNPC is a dream team, no more slacking allowed cos none of them will take any prisoners. A lot of incompetent pple working in dis sector at the Govt level will start lookin 2 transfer to other sectors as the heat will become too much to bear. Finally order will be restored cos if pple don't take their way of transparency, accountability and competence, then they will just have to take the highway to other sectors, early retirement or prison. wink grin

Naija will be great again

PoliticsRe: Buhari Constitutes Advisory Committee On Anti-corruption by Miranda11: 1:36pm On Aug 10, 2015
To be honest with you, although setting up a committee is okay as this can help put a good policy and system in place but my pple to be honest this will only help with a tiny aspect of the problem. The corrupt elements in Nigeria are very sophisticated with the way they embezzle money and Buhari will need some very street savvy people to identify and block the loopholes that money is being stolen from. These professors though good, they are not street savvy and will look at it from an educational point of view. For example does one need a degree in criminology to know that pple inflate contract figures in the procurement depts? I beg someone shld tell Buhari to get real ooh.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Orders MDAs To Run Treasury Single Account by Miranda11: 9:52am On Aug 10, 2015
What about BPP and all the procurement depts in Depts, agencies and parastatals, this is where a lot of the corruption in Govt happens. When contracts are drafted , pple inflate the figures more than the original cost of the contract, and it is a very common thing, how is Buhari going to curtail this?
PoliticsRe: Buhari Orders MDAs To Run Treasury Single Account by Miranda11: 9:41am On Aug 10, 2015
This is a good move by Buhari but what about those Agencies, Depts and Parastatals that officially have set up Funds as part of their operations, most of these are held in private banks like Zenith, First Bank, UBA e.t.c shldnt these also be managed by the CBN, take the case of NHIS and the seized ($21m). The Govt shld also instruct the CBN to set up separate special investment accts in CBN where these funds can be kept this way the Govt can better monitor how such MDA's access such accounts and exactly how much is deposited in the Funds.
PoliticsRe: Fraud: Buhari Stops Multiple Accounts By Ministries, Agencies by Miranda11: 6:10pm On Aug 09, 2015
What about federal agencies that have associated Funds, shldnt these also be kept by the CBN in special accounts to prevent unauthorised access?

The case of NHIS ($2.1m) is a typical example of what happens when such funds are not properly monitored.
PoliticsRe: Corruption Probe: GEJ In Secret Meeting With PMB - Sahara Reporters by Miranda11: 1:49pm On Aug 09, 2015
Probing should not be selective ooh. If Buhari wants to probe he should probe all past presidents as the leaders before Jonathan are even more corrupt, it just happens that Jonathan's Govt is the immediate past one in power.

IBB laid down the law that legalised corruption in Nigeria after all it was under him that allocation of oil blocks became discretionary as opposed to it being done by bidding and of course we all know who benefitted most from this discretionary allocation.
PoliticsRe: I’m Not Ready To Attack Jonathan Yet, But He Misruled Us - Kenneth Gbagi by Miranda11: 11:10am On Aug 09, 2015
This Gbaji man should just keep quiet, if he felt that GEJ was misruling the country what did he do to to help curtain the mess? He was a former minister of state for education and close as he said to Edwin Clark so cldnt they have staged an intervention of some sort or put pressure on GEJ to change his style of rule? Speaking out now cos GEJ lost the elections is medicine after death.

HE WAS A FORMER MINISTER OF STATE FOR EDUCATION, WHAT USEFUL REFORMS DID HE BRING INTO THE EDUCATION SECTOR WHEN HE WAS MINISTER, ARE OUT UNIVERSITIES BETTER NOW? PPLE LIKE THIS SHLD HIDE THEIR FACES IN SHAME AS THEY ALL CONTRIBUTED TO THE PRESENT MESS.
PoliticsRe: Part I: Editorial analysis of the economist by Miranda11: 7:14pm On Aug 07, 2015
I think it's high time Seun prohibits this kind of propaganda from nairaland as it can incite pple to hatred. Until the Government comes out publicly to make a comprehensive statement about this , pls nobody shld pay any attention to such evidence less news because if d Govt doesn't say anything very soon pple will think that Buhari swept this under d carpet meanwhile it's just a false story.

So crack Jones or cram Jones whatever ur nairaland name is stop posting evidence less stories and SEUN pls prohibit these kind of stories.
PoliticsRe: Northerners take over NNPC(confirmed) by Miranda11: 2:50pm On Aug 06, 2015
Peeps the thread is just to let everyone know that there is no northern agenda that most of the things that are published in Newspapers is just cheap propaganda to incite pple against Buhari's govt. in essence don't believe everything that you read cos 9x out of 10 it's all fabricated stories.
PoliticsRe: President Buhari Appoints New Group Executive Directors for NNPC by Miranda11: 8:40pm On Aug 05, 2015
These new appointments reflect federal character, the House of Reps in particular Femi Gbagamila shld note how it's done. Hopefully these new DIrs will help realise the new vision for NNPC any attempt to derail Kachikwu shld kick them out ASAP.

SEUN WHY IS THIS THREAD NOT

PoliticsRe: NNPC Group Executive Directors Sacked by Miranda11: 6:57pm On Aug 05, 2015

PoliticsRe: NNPC Group Executive Directors Sacked by Miranda11: 6:36pm On Aug 05, 2015

PoliticsRe: How Buhari Traded NNPC GMD Position for Campaign Funding - Nigeriantimes.ng by Miranda11: 2:58pm On Aug 05, 2015
I've said this before that the pple who were hailing Buhari will be the same ones that will tear him apart especially if the policies he is implementing do not favour them and it is now happening. There is no one that Buhari will appoint that rubbish stories will not follow as to why he appointed such a person, how are we so sure that this propaganda is not being stirred up by disgruntled APC leaders that wanted their own people to be in charge of NNPC and the petroleum Ministry but aren't meaning no access to oil blocks and juicy oil appointments. There were unconfirmed rumours that Tinubu wanted Mofe Boyo to be GMD NNPC or Minister of Petroleum but this has not worked out. Very soon they will say the appointment was to protect Northerners who own oil blocks.
It's a known fact that IBB knows Kachikwu as IBB attended Kachikwu's daughters wedding but is this enough to say Buhari struck a deal with IBB and Danjuma? Anyway only time will tell what the true position is as Kachikwu himself was almost rejecting the offer because of politics and slander until Buhari convinced him to take it, now exactly what the man feared is happening.
Na wah for Naija we are our own worst enemies.
