Power cut in senate up to 8x, I no fit laugh oh, it's obvious dat OBJ's boys are at work here, dis probe must continue, if there's no power supply in NASS, they shld move to Aso rock and continue the probe I sure say Buhari go give them plenty space to use the banquet halls.

All looters must be exposed and shld return all embezzled money, OBJ has been shouting dat Buhari shld jail GEJ, now d tables have turned on him cheesy grin. Baba dis tym no amount of running to n fro to Aso Rock go save u now.

My peeps I beg make we try think dis thing well oh, how we sure say all d thing wey news dey say abt dis woman na true?? Dis woman na only talk she suppose to talk, if na APC employ am no be d same loyalty dey go expect from her.

D reason why GEJ appoint EX DG Ekpeyong na because of him integrity n track record 4 Anambra n how he help protect d ballot box.
Now dat Daura be DG no be Buhari n APC eh go first show loyalty?? If another party win for 2019 dey go remove Daura appoint person wey go show them loyalty. So by den dey go begin attack Daura for him loyalty to APC abi?

So I no understand why dem dey vilify dem, because na loyalty dey give person job 4 Govt and no be only Naija such dey happen na everywhere for d world, Obama no appoint George Bush CoS to be him own CoS, he appoint him own so wetin we dey all talk here??
PoliticsRe: Civil Servants Corrupt, Lazy, Says President by Miranda11: 9:05am On Sep 08, 2015
The truth is indeed very bitter. The Nigerian civil service really needs a thorough purge especially those who are incompetent, lazy and corrupt. But the question is who will do the purge. The same people in management who are likely to draw up such lists, how efficient are they?

Civil servants generally even in developed countries tend to have a very laid back attitude to work cos d pressure to perform is not as much as in the private sector. It's just that in Naija it's taken to another level, cos the heads n senior managers are weak so Perhaps the purging shld start here. If those at the top in the Ministries and parastatals are serious minded and efficient then this will normally flow to the body. It's a known fact in our civil service that most managers don't know anything and they just get intelligent junior staff to do the work. It's only in Naija that you will see a head of a contracts dept that can't draft a contract or rightly interpret clauses in a contract. If such a manager is so incompetent how then can those under him develop. If this can change then we will have an improved civil service, at least something along the lines of what is going on in NNPC "a thorough Tsunami".

The disparity in pay btw expats and Nigerians working in the same company and doin d same job, is just too wide and something needs to be done, even where the Nigerians are not doin the same type of jobs as d expats because dey r not skilled, the difference in pay is enormous.

These our Nigerian billionaires are contributing to the unemployment prob by givin jobs to expats that Nigerians are qualified to do. That's why local content laws shld apply to all sectors and not just oil n gas, power and telecoms.

IsraeliAIRFORCE:
The details of a secret meeting between Buhari and some northern leaders has been revealed.

The meeting took place at the presidential villa last night Saturday, 30th May, 2015.

The northern leaders told Buhari not to make the kind of mistake Dr Jonathan made by not massively developing the Niger Delta, they said he focused on the transformation of the entire country, believing that he (Dr Jonathan) will secure a second term in office to massively develop Niger Delta.

They asked Buhari to treat the north, mostly north-west and north-east like everyday is his last day in office, citing the long absence of a northerner at the helm of affairs.

They made eight demands from Buhari, which are.

Appointment of core northern Muslims in to key positions in the country.

Extra financial support for the 19 northern states.

Amnesty for boko haram, so that it would be an avenue to empower northern youths.

To establish a world class petroleum university in Katsina state.

To build another refinery in Kano state.

To pay off Tinubu and Amaechi for sponsoring his campaign, so that his presidency can be truly a northern presidency.

To place Tompolo, Ankio Briggs and Asari Dokubo on DSS watch list, seize their passports, because they can turn the Niger Delta region against his presidency.

And lastly they asked him not to honour the gay agreement between his party(APC) and the western countries.

Sources said Buhari agreed to try his best in the first seven demands, but he his not so sure of the last demand which is the gay agreement with western countries.

Because he is scared they would fight him, destabilize his government, and possibly edge him out like they did to Dr Jonathan.

The meeting had in attendance, governors el Rufai, Amino Masari, Abdulahi Ganduje of Kaduna, Katsina and Kano respectively. Others are Atiku Abubakar, Ibrahim Commossie, Adamu Ciroma, Yosuf Maitama Sule, and Muhammad Danjuma Goje.
What is the source of your story. Are you tryin to start anor civil war in Nigeria with this source less story?

CareerRe: Please Help! My Boss Is Scared I Will Replace Her by Miranda11: 5:07pm On Sep 04, 2015
Most bosses don't like being out shined by a junior staff as it makes them feel as if they have no value to offer so can punish you if you try and look good. Wisdom and how u come across is very key here. My former boss once asked me to help her type up something she had written and on reading i noticed that the reasoning was wrong so I went to her office and said " Ma please do you mind if I made a comment and she said no problem but even at that I was still hesitant to Spk to which she encouraged me to say something and I did and she commended me and told me to correct it. She then encouraged me to always Spk up if I feel that something is not right as we never stop learning from each other. At the end of the day it depends on the person as someone else wld just shout n say are u trying to tell me that I'm wrong. I also worked with someone who wld get very angry if others knew you were good and wld start making disparaging comments like so you want everyone to know that your good and intelligent. Such pple only want to use you to make them Look competent, with such pple I feel it's a complex problem because they are not as intelligent so you just have to be careful how you come across with them.

So if you have any good ideas just go to her and say "Ma please what do you think about this" and even when you are sharing this across the coy don't make it too obvious that it's coming from you. As demoralising as the advice sounds sometimes it's just the only way to keep the peace.

Good luck.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: International Jobs: Nigerians Are Turned Down by Miranda11: 11:39am On Sep 03, 2015
The Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB) is tasked with the responsibility of ensuring dat suitably qualified Nigerians are given 1st priority for jobs in the oil n gas sector, but the problem is dat these foreign comps in conjunction with the ministry of interior tend to ignore the local content laws (Expatriate Quota) with such impunity. Most times u go to these foreign coys n u see expatriates doing jobs that Nigerians can do, if the ministry of interior is doing what they are suppose to do this will not be the case. The Nigerians that work in those coys shld also stand up and say smthing esp where they know that the expatriates are doing jobs that Nigerians can do, but the fear of losing their jobs prevent them from speaking out. It's even the expatriates dat r in management positions that determine the pay of Nigerians.

To much bribe taking by the Ministry of Interior coupled with weak labour laws, is short changing Nigerians from getting such jobs. Hopefully PMB can call these foreign coys to order and also try n strengthen our labour laws.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Donates 20 Vehicles For Burkina Faso Election by Miranda11: 8:37pm On Sep 02, 2015
Hmmm I hope this is not true and just another media propaganda because Naija has more than enough problems to sort out that need money, so we can't be giving to others when our own don't have. There are thousands of unemployed graduates walking the streets n if part of the monetary equivalent of those cars are given to some of the unemployed, they can use it to start a little biz.

Charity they say begins at home.

PoliticsRe: List Of States That Got Bail-Out Funds To Offset Salary Arrears by Miranda11: 9:43pm On Sep 01, 2015
Kudo's also to Kaduna, Jigawa, Yobe n of course FCT for managing their funds well. The others shld learn from them.

Now the Govt has bailed them out even though it's thru loans, there is no excuse for any of the 27 mentioned to have any salary arrears till 2019.

Except in very very exceptional circumstances, Non payment of workers salaries by Gov's shld be made a criminal offence punishable with a very long jail term + life banishment for running for any kind of public office. There shld be provision for this in our constitution. This will keep them on their toes.

PoliticsRe: N338b Loans For Ekiti, Oyo, Kwara, Ondo, Osun, Others by Miranda11: 8:42am On Aug 31, 2015
When will this givin of loans stop. All the loans that have been given to them in the past what have they used it for? All the money signed by their finance commissioners from the Excess Crude Account what have they used it for? This country will soon collapse under the weight of the loans that are being given out and are not being repaid.

Taking money from the state coffers to use to fund elections should be made a criminal offence punishable by life imprisonment, public stoning or firing squad.

If they want reelection they should raise funds privately and not use Govt money.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Sets Up Four-man Panel On Diezani by Miranda11: 8:17am On Aug 31, 2015
If indeed Dieziani has done anything wrong time will tell as only evidence and proof of the allegations beyond a reasonable doubt can secure a criminal conviction as the lawyers and law say.

But to be honest what about all the other corrupt Ex and present President's, Gov's, ministers, perm sec's and ordinary civil servants who have been involved in corruption are they not suppose to be probed. The Halluburton case which glaringly stands out nobody is saying anything about that or are those accused pple to posh to be probed. What about Tinubu after all his corrupt atrocities that he did whilst Gov is he now a saint because he sponsored Buhari?

GEJ has been vilified and condemned over the state of the refineries, but it's now being reported that NNPC have advised d FG that these same refineries should be sold but Buhari refused. So what are we saying. OBJ's Govt known for mind blowing allegations of corruption, the effects of which are still being felt today, nobody is saying anythin abt him.
Oshiomole has condemned Iweala over n over again on mismanagement of the ECA until she published the payments made to state govts and signed by their finance commissioners, nothing more is being said about that.

This APC Govt is just a propaganda Govt who I doubt if they really have any value to add to Nigeria. 2mrw is d 1st of Sept, what economic policy has the present govt started to put into place? What steps have they taken to start fulfilling their election promises? The only thing the media keeps on talkin abt is corruptn!

The media needs to be reigned in and start focusing on the Govts performance cos this is what will be used to judge them come 2019 and by then there can be no excuse cos it seems that they r using dis corruption talk to cover up their inadequacies.

Start work ooh afterall dats why u were elected?
PoliticsRe: Aftermath Of Bhuari's Appointment, Amaechi Jets Out To London In Anger by Miranda11: 3:53pm On Aug 28, 2015
So if Buhari will not give Amaechi any position in his Government because of allegations of corruption that have not yet been proven then that means he should not give any APC person who has similar allegations against then as well.

So why did Buhari approve a candidate for FIRS from Tinubu when everyone knows Tinubu is corruption personified himself? huh

All this does not add up because the same role Tinubu played in Buhari's emergence is the same role that Amaechi also played, so who is kidding who here!!!

Hmmm these are really interesting times in Naija.

I just hope all this is just for the best of our dear country.
PoliticsRe: APC Leaders Angry As Buhari Appoints More Northerners by Miranda11: 12:07pm On Aug 28, 2015
To be honest I really don't know why the APC leaders are angry, if they were more organised as a party and ready for governance, all these appts wld have been discussed b4 hand.

I wonder what would be goin thru Tinubu's mind just seeing how things are playin out b4 his own very eyes.

I've always said it that the greatest weapon the Northerners have is that as a whole they are much more united than the Southerners, and they know how to play this unity card so well. A house divided against itself can never stand so we southerners must try and put aside our tribal inclinations and personal interests and be more united cos if we are, these type of things will not happen. The North are ridding off our disunity and using it to their advantage and there doesn't seem to be anything we can do about it.

Thot there was talk that Buhari will run d Min of Pet while Kachikwu will double up as Minister of State for petroleum to ensure synergy thru out the ministry. Abi dis don change? Hmmm Buhari shld be very careful when and if he appts a Minister of Pet cos the person shldnt mess up what Kachikwu is doin in NNPC.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Ally Abubakar Tsav Warns Him Against Sectional Appointments by Miranda11: 8:37am On Aug 28, 2015
How are we not sure that all the stories against Fashola and Amaechi were deliberately cooked up so that there will be a reason not to appoint them as SGF and Chief of Staff as originally projected?

Anyway time will tell if Buhari has a northern agenda when ministers are announced. If those appts are lopsided the Senate/ NASS have the powers not to approve them if Federal character is not satisfied.

Thank God Nigerians are so much more alert to these kind of things now compared to b4 and will not take this lying down. Naija is for everyone and if this country is going to succeed as one country, tribalism must take the highway.
PoliticsRe: Past Govts Promoted Corruption In Oil Sector - Buhari by Miranda11: 7:43am On Aug 26, 2015
At least its now officially being made public by Buhari himself that its not Jonathan's Govt alone that ruined this country. After all the most corrupt Govt's were those that were in power long before Jonathan nursed any ambitions of becoming Vice president and president. So a probe of Jonathan's Govt will effectively mean a probe of all past Govts then!!

Another funny assertion... the GMD said..?? What criteria, exactly? You and your GMD should provide evidence that performance reviews were used in determining who was sent packing, and who was retained. What proof do you have that those people who were laid off, did not add any value to NNPC? shocked

Provide proof of the so-called criteria please, so that your words can have true meaning. sad You know 'people who said...??" huh

That is the problem with Nigeria. People who always claim to know people, instead of relying on hard evidence and verifiable facts.

Later, they will turn round to claim that things don't work. How will it work when most folks prefer to rely on hearsay and 'people who know people'?
This is the proof that the GMD said performance appraisals will be used

laudate:
Very funny! sad Provide proof please, that the entire 1,000 people were incompetent. This is one problem with Nigeria. You guys will shout blue murder if the affected people are your kinsmen, but as long as they remain faceless... you really do not care. There is something called professional experience, institutional memory etc. All these will be lost in a single day, because some clowns sat down and decided to lay off 1,000 people in one fell swoop instead of taking time out to conduct a thorough investigation, then gradually phase out those who are not pulling their weight, within the system. A well-structured handover and succession process would then be instituted, as these people gradually wind down, and leave the system. Was that done in this case?? Kindly let us know. shocked huh

And where are the more competent people that are to be employed? Is it from the pool of unemployed graduates on our shores, that do not even know how to write a single business case or memo?? undecided

A man takes over as GMD of NNPC and in just one week decides that the first thing to do, is sack 1,000 people. It is not as if any process was automated, that made these people redundant. It is not that a new process or structure was instituted, that did not require the presence of so many people. It is not as if any major departmental function was outsourced. So what was the criteria used in laying off this huge number of staff? sad

What is the total number of staff employed by NNPC that would justify laying off 1,000 people? And do they even have enough money to pay off their terminal benefits in a timely manner?? undecided
I don't need to provide proof, the GMD has said it that performance reviews will be used where it is possible to retrain staff for them to be more efficient then such staff will be kept, but where there is no value in doing so they will be let go. This is the criteria that is being used. If u know anybody that works in NNPC and who can be honest with you about the reality of the situation then you won't say this. I know pple who work in NNPC and they complain bitterly about the incompetence of the staff there who were employed simply on a man know man basis, they come to work do not add value and get the intelligent junior staff to do all the work. How can NNPC continue to survive like this and unfortunately this is the case throughout the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
