Missy89: Oh so u think women are at a disadvantage when it comes to marriage?
And you don't want them to be a "liability" even thou their rights would not be guaranteed when it goes burst?
When i say social norms, i meant most women are being trained to just go to school and marry and wait on their husbands to provide most of what they need. If you want that to change, there needs to be re orientation and opportunities should be created for women to be competitive as men from early stages. The word opportunity as you have used is synonymous to empowerment. Are women not ashamed of asking for empowerment? Only someone who is weak and oppressed asks for empowerment. I think people should stop blaiming society, marriage has to do more about instinct than society. |

UjSizzle: I'm saying this definition of an 'asset' doesn't make sense. Yeah women should work blah blah, but if this is the deal breaker for men, then I'm really sorry for all of you in advance. My dear, most guys commenting are talking about their gf. I actually like the idea of housewives, if the couple can plan for future. My 2 cents is that, let's say the housewife dies, that is when a lot of people will know her worth. You are justified by having pity on men that want working wife, if only they knew what a lot of men are passing through in the western world, if only they knew. |

kandiikane: I agree that every woman should endeavour to have their own money but to imply housewives are liabilities is far fetched because if we want to be technical, the man is also a liability to the woman because he also depends on her to take care of him. Liability doesn't just come from spending money but there are many other ways in which one can become a liability. If the husband was in a wheelchair right now and cannot work, if I was to go with what you wrote then he is going to become the liability because he won't be able to do jack shyt, the housewife is not just sitting at home doing nothing. I understand where you are coming from though just confused on which women you are talking about because it's an insult to housewives because they aren't, especially those who had no choice.
I have written several times that women should not live life just to become housewives but saying that has never been because I thought they were liabities, that has never crossed my mind because it's not true. The family rely on that woman. I won't be economical with words for once. Being an housewife is not easy. I saw a woman today, she was sweating, with a baby on her back, she held her son at around 10'o clock, this boy should have been in school at 8. I'm sure that she was still going to work, cook at home and still satisfy her hubby. |

If you talk they'll scream "women are helpers!!" Begs the question, what kind of help was God referring to? Help in carrying out your duties, or help in keeping you sane while carrying out your duties?
Methinks if a man can come home to peace and quiet after a hard day's job (even if his wife is a housewife), and omalicha food, he sure as hell has an asset in there. Are they selling peace of mind in ochanja market Ma'am, what actually are you driving at? |

No man is a fool. And we all get worked up when y'all go begging for stuffs when y'all can pull stuffs!
If u must fight for gender equality, then first fight off ur laziness , stinginess n herbalist attitudes( always collecting)
NT: this is by no means saying there ain't this very exceptional group out there(very rare breeds) that supports their men tru good advice n all otherwise Gender equality my foot! Though I acknowlege the fact that women are very greedy and selfish creatures, no court as far as Nigeria is concerned divides property into two, the worst you can get is alimony. When I tell my friends that I want a lady that can pay my bills, both male and female mock me. But its shocking that women looked very threatened by my disposition, 20 times more than men. Afterall, it actually seems that women are more threatened by the prospect of gender equality. We men will actually loose nothing more than pride, but these lazy women like enlightenedsoul, who worship chalvary, are gonna loose a lot. Maybe you actually don't know how relieving it is that as a woman, when you fail in your career, you can fall back on a man, who is willing to pick you up. |

EfemenaXY: So many contradictory sentences in just one post!
Right, I'm not into abbreviations but I take it that by ISIS, you're referring to the Ancient Egyptian goddess of rebirth? And your MABTW means Men Are Better Than Women? I'll go with these assumptions but do correct me if you meant otherwise. Now, you claim:
~ Men don't attempt to dress seductively? Says who? Whether fat or thin as you can see from the pics below, men are also pushing the boundaries in exposing their internal whörèdom Now do you see women attacking them?
~ You say men have self-worth, yet it's these same men that can't take their eyes off women and given half the chance, would commit sèxual atrocities against women such as rapè. They have self-control yet for every encounter with the opposite sèx, they shamelessly rush to create new threads, regaling everyone unfortunate to read their posts about how they nearly lost self-control like our dear 5minsMadness.
~ If men are really that much better, more in control of themselves, have more self-worth than women, then why should women worry about being attacked by these same men, simply because of what they decide to wear?
~ Men aren't half as sèxy as women (you got that bit right) and you say they can't degrade themselves to be used by musicians? Strippers nko? Nor be men dey do am pas for hen nights?
Even man dey follow woman drag buttcrack.
Yeah, I can "see" just how much MABTW. Wharra a joke. What a pity! You don't know ISIS, you deserve a round of beating. Tell your lord that I command him to beat you up. You see, women are synonymous to babies, you need constant beating. Though I don't support räpe, I think its cool, you don't have 2 tell a woman you want something, you are a man, have your way. Let me tell you, a lot of men have suffered from räpe, more than you can you can imagine. I was not talking about wearing seductive clothes at beach or for a photo, was talking of the streets. I guess you were blushing when you said there are a lot of male strippers. It is even deminishing to say men are better than women, cos there is no room for comparison. I can't just imagine my self bleeding for the most valuable moments of my life. Gush!!! |

EfemenaXY: Just so we're on the same page, what part of the female anatomy are you referring to here?
Oh really?
So I'm now a stereotype? For calling you out on your claims that women in Nigeria shouldn't be free to wear what they want for fear of being molested by a bunch of thugs, to whom the word "self-control" in non-existent in their dictionaries? According to you, women should exercise caution in their mode of dressing in order not to "assault" the so-called men's fragile senses, and yet, it's okay for the men to dress in whatever they feel like without fear of admonition or sex.u.al attack?
So it's one rule for women and another rule for the men - so who's the real stereotype here?
An no, I don't ever need to resort to insults to get my point(s) across. If I've got something to say, I say it in very clear, unambiguous terms. You on the other hand are the emotionally unbalanced one, prone to "losing it" as you readily admitted:
By the way, the bolded bit of your sentence got me laughing! Honestly. Efe does not join the bandwagon. My views are my views, even if they sometimes are contrary to the norm, whatever that may be. I do not post on here to garner "likes" as you so eloquently put it. Besides, do I have any control over who chooses to like my post? But more importantly, why should that bother you so much? You have to extend ur views to ISIS! Have you ever seen a man on the streets, not a mechanic or tout, I mean a normal guy who leaves out any chunk of his breast or dress seductively? No one says women shouldn't expose their internal whörèdom, but can you defend yourself from attack? We men have self-worth, eventhough we are not as sexy as women, we cannot degrade ourselves to being USED by musicians. Why not accept that MABTW. |

EnlightenedSoul: When, and with what did I blackmail you? And lolll @ "little emotion ravaged head".
I must say, you seem hopelessly confused. On one hand, you proclaim that anyone can achieve success under the right circumstances, and yet in that same breath you extrapolate the undeniable intellectual contributions of men, and diminish that of women w/o giving credence to that same self-indicated significance of circumstance. The resultant asinine implication that women's exclusion from education and intellectual circles until very recently, not to mention their inability to own property or exert will over their own lives, had no effect on their inclusion in academic accomplishment is so ludicrous, I can't take your comment seriously.
On football, that you were speaking of the 'quality we expect' as opposed to *whatever else*, does nothing to remove you from your perch as the giggling incompetent observer that you are.
On your "achievements", you disappoint. I don't know how asking about your achievements translated into a boast sesh on how many women you've "disvirgined" (egad, the cringe-worthiness of this word alone is inexplicable), or that you've married a virgin (yayyyy). I must say I was surprised to learn about that last bit there. Married, you say? Danggg O.o
The crossed out portion makes no 'effin sense. I can only suggest that you reread it, and come up with something a bit more coherent for consideration. When I said you are emotional, you debunked it, yet read all what you've written, isn't it emotional, my signature says all about me, but your tiny head refuse to reason. People like me and my very good foe carefreewannabe, most times try to mix fiction, lies with reality just for us to entertain ourselves. Now, don't you disappoint. Do 'Dick Masterson' proud! Women can be so silly that they seek for blackmail in place of objectivity. If your little emotion ravaged head cannot grasp what I wrote, I can explain cos that's what the deformed males want. According to my post which you couldn't reply accordingly, I meant that at 'right circumstancesg', everyone can be successful, but it takes A(not every) man(women are also present, they have achievements too, but that of the man covers it and makes it look dormant.) to make something astounding. As per female football, I was only telling you the quality of what we accept from this bìtch called women. As per my achievements, I disvirgìned 13 bìtches and still married a virgin, I love pink pùssy and succulent brèäst! All men developed from women, with the hope of becoming a man, those that couldn't make it developed faster(things of low quality easily reach perfection) and were naturally deformed by nature, for the purpose of giving birth to the superior and inferior. |
