A kind-hearted Nigerian, Akinaka Richard, has shown a random act of kindness to less-privileged children he spotted hawking firewood.

Mr Richard was riding his G-wagon when he spotted the 7 young boys fetching firewood to sell. He decided to give them N5,000 each to buy Christmas clothes ahead of the festivity.

President Buhari today received a report of the panel established to review the operational,technical & administrative structure of the National Intelligence Agency(NIA), & said all those found culpable in the Osborne Towers scandal will be made to account & appropriately sanctioned.



The President described the discovery of monies in the flat at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos, in April this year, as an "unfortunate incident which rightly aroused public interest and outcry."

A video showing a male officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) fighting a woman has emerged.

The location of the video is unknown but both parties can be heard speaking Hausa.

After throwing punches at the woman, the officer unbuckled his belt and attempted to use it on her.

Towards the end of the video, the officer got into a scuffle with another female passenger — an elderly woman — who alighted from the vehicle to challenge him.

The primary two pupil takes some days off from school to repair motorcycles in order to raise his school fees of UGX 200K per term.

The controversy on whether the name Jesus Christ is really that of the son of GOD has been given more credence after popular prophet joined the doubting Thomases.

Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah who is the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International has muddied the waters insisting that the name “Jesus Christ is fake”

In an exclusive interview on Kofi TV, the outspoken prophet opined that, the real name of the son of God who came to die to save the world is ‘Yeshua HaMashiach’.

“YESHUA” means “Salvation” and HaMashiach” means “The Anointed One” he explained.

Rev. Owusu Bempah maintained that Jesus of Nazareth, the man we read about in history books and in the New Testament, was merely a fabrication of first-century Romans, who created his gospels as a way to quell the messianic fervor of the Jews.

He stated that Jesus was a tool of psychological warfare used by then Roman emperor, Constantine to get the Jews to stop causing trouble and love their Roman overlords.

This move by the Romans the prophet added made Christians to believe in a new deity called Jesus, “a celestial being subordinate to God”.

Rev Owusu Bempah conceded there are many contradictions in the Bible due to translation but they know the truth and will liberate humanity.

He cited the founder and leader of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams as someone who uses the name Yeshua HaMashiach during prayers because he knows the truth.

He said miracles happen when pastors mention the name of Jesus because they operate with the spirit of Yeshua HaMashiach.

Rev Owusu Bempah stressed that Yeshua HaMashiach is the name forever known in Heaven, and must thus be accepted by all especially believers on Earth.

President Muhammadu Buhari while presnting the 2018 budget to the joint session made lawmakers to burst into laughter at the mention of the whistleblower policy of the Federal government.

Buhari had reminded the lawmakers that Nigerians should not forget that the Whistleblower lines are still open.

"I wish to remind Nigerians that the whistle blower lines are still availale", he said.

The lawmakers quickly burst into laughter, probably because some of the scapegoats are in their chambers.

A Facebook user, Kehinde Rhoda Akinrinmade, who was present when an incident happened at CMS revealed that a young girl tried to jump off the bridge in Suicide attempt.

According to Kehinde, the lady was stopped by police officers, bus conductors and drivers who rallied around her, and discouraged her from the dangerous act.



Kehinde disclosed that the lady said she was frustrated by her life as her previous employer had sent her away without paying for her services as a house maid.

Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun has revealed that more than 800,000 companies in Nigeria, including government contractors, have never paid any taxes.


In a statement, she also said that only 14 million Nigerians, out of an economically active base of 70 million, paid taxes.


Of the 14 million, more than 95% were salary earners in the formal sector, but only 241 people paid personal income taxes amounting to about $65,500 (£50,000) in 2016, Ms Adeosun said.


There was "systematic tax evasion at all levels", and the government planned to step up efforts to increase tax collection, she added.


This would help reduce government reliance on oil revenue, Ms Adeosun said.

Cyril George revealed this in a recent Interview where he expressed his disappointment at the actress for birthing a child outside wedlock.


According to Luterodt, there is no excuse for any woman to have a baby when she is not married. He further disclosed that Yvonne Nelson denied the pregnancy, because of the guilt that comes with having a baby out of wedlock.


He said;“Yvonne Nelson denied the pregnancy because she knows the guilt that comes with this. She knows the process to pregnancy is after marriage. And if she has given birth unmarried, then I am very disappointed in her.


There is no excuse for any woman to have a baby when she is not married because such pregnancies culturally are described as ‘stupid’ so are the children who come out.”

Ten years after it last held, Kebbi State government has concluded arrangements to hold Argungu International Fishing Festival next year, Governor Abubakar Bagudu, has disclosed.



He told newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, during an interactive session to mark the nation’s 57th Independence anniversary. Governor Bagudu said: “After considering its social and economic values, this administration deems it necessary to organise this festival so that the world will come to Kebbi.



The events will most likely come up in its usual month of March.” According to him, preparation for the festival has started with clearing of all premises and renovation of structures.

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, has said that the present campaign mounted by Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State to vie for the 2019 Presidency is contrary to the decision of the party’s convention that zoned presidency to the North.

Makarfi stated this while addressing journalists in Kaduna

He said: “He (Fayose) is on his own. What he is doing is not in compliance with the position of the party. The party’s position has not changed.

“The convention has zoned the presidency to the North and the chairmanship of the party to the South.”


Makarfi also dismissed speculation that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar may be given an automatic ticket to contest the same position on the platform of the PDP if he finally decides to join the party before the 2019 general election.

It could be recalled that Governor Ayo Fayose said his decision to seek the PDP ticket to contest the 2019 presidential election against the Party’s zoning formula is without prejudice to our party’s position.

The Lagos state government has advised residents of areas close to water bodies to leave their homes for the time being.

This is because of the recent torrential rains in the state. Several areas in Lekki, Ajah have been submerged due to the rains.


A release by the State Commissioner for the Environment, Dr. Samuel Adejare, noted that the rainfall is bound to disrupt normal activities as well as have an untoward effect on landed properties, roads and environment.

“You are implored as much as possible to stay indoors unless it is essential to your safety and livelihood. However we strongly advise those who live in lowland and close to water bodies to move upland”, the statement said.

He added that officers from the Ministry have been deployed to coastal areas and sites that are susceptible to flooding as part of efforts to protect the lives and properties of the citizenry.

The statement also implored Lagosians to call the free toll lines of 112 or 767 for necessary assistance in cases of emergency.

Leukaemia is a disease in which the bone marrow and other blood-forming organs produce increased numbers of immature or abnormal leukocytes. These suppress the production of normal blood cells, leading to anemia and other symptoms.

A suspected car battery thief escaped lynching on Tuesday, June 20th, 201, at Akai Efa area of Calabar, Cross River state. According to reports online, the man was caught trying to steal a car battery when an angry mob descended on him and beat him up with stick sand stones. They had also poured fuel on him were about to set him ablaze when the police arrived and whisked him away.

The man was supposedly almost caught on Monday trying to steal the car battery just blocks away from where he was finally caught on Tuesday.
