Twitter user, Gift of Yahweh (@iam_west_) is causing a serious stir on the platform after he sent out a series of tweets concerning all forms of “attachments” on the body.

According to him, “Anything that God didn’t create in you… hair, nails etc…. Hell is yours.”

The President of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria (ABCON), Alhaji Aminu Gwadabe has hailed the newly proposed abolition of the parallel market.


“The scrapping of multiple markets outside the purview of the CBN will be a welcome development.


“The existence of multiple rates is highly unacceptable,’’ Gwadabe said.


The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun on Tuesday while speaking during an economic conference in Abuja said the CBN has promised to do something by putting a system in place to eliminate the black market because it was damaging the economy after direction from President Muhammdu Buhari-led federal government.


The CBN’s Acting Director, Corporate Communications, Mr. Isaac Okorafor, said the Apex Bank was working towards “ensuring that the forex market operates as effectively as we would envisage”.

12 children were killed when a pickup van ran into a procession of students marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad in a town in Gombe state yesterday.

The incident happened in Malam Sidi town 20 kilometres away from Gombe, the state capital.

A witness, who craved for anonymity, said the driver was coming from Gombe on a high speed when he lost control and ran into the Maulud procession.

The event was staged by hundreds of Islamiya School pupils some of whom came from neighbouring villages.

A witness said he counted about 20 corpses, adding that over 30 children were injured and taken to the Cottage Hospital in Malam Sidi.

He said angry mob killed the driver and set the vehicle ablaze before police arrived the scene.

Confirming the incident, the Gombe State Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Ahmed Usamn, said the accident occurred at 12 noon when a driver travelling alone in his car from Gombe to Bajoga lost control and ran into the children procession.

DSP Usman said eight were confirmed dead and 19 others were evacuated by the police medical team to Federal Teaching Hospital and Gombe Specialists Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile the funeral prayer for 12 of the children that lost their lives was held yesterday around 5:00pm at the premises of the Cottage Hospital, Malam Sidi.

Coming after the power merger between the president’s family, Muhammadu Buhari and billionaire businessman, Muhammad Indimi’s family as they both united their children in marriage, the Emir of Kano’s daughter is set to wed on Friday, December 23.



The Emir’s daughter, Fulani Siddika Sanusi will be getting married to her heartrob, Malam Abubakar Umar Kurfi at the Emir’s Palace in Kano on the set date.



However, ahead of the wedding proper, photos from the Emir’s daughter at her Kamu traditional ceremony which held on December 18th has surfaced online.


The photographer responsible for the shots, Maigaskiya said: “During the discussion, the Princess turned towards the Queen and asked ‘ what’s your kamu event like?’.


“With a smile on the Queen’s face she replied ‘it was simple and we had fun. Everything was traditional; the music, attire, decoration and all. It’s was memorable’.



“Hence, it was agreed that everything should be done in accordance with old traditions. Everyone who witnessed the Kamu last night would agreed it was pure traditional kamu in style”

Nigeria's Health Minister, Isaac Adewole, has announced plans to launch a new effective primary health care system in the country.

There'll be an overhaul of the previous system, he said. The move could lead to primary healthcare centres, PHCs, “having full control of how they utilize the money” they are allocated, he added.

“The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari would love to be remembered in making basic healthcare services qualitative, accessible and affordable to all Nigerians,” he said.

“Financial autonomy at the PHC facility level, making sure money gets to the primary healthcare facilities directly with facilities having full control of how they utilize the money, will help enhance the viability of PHC in the country.”

This approach, according to him, “informed the budget process in 2017 and underpins the approach for increasing healthcare services as espoused under the approved guidelines at the basic health care provision function.”

Ligue 1 side Marseille may have succeeded in convincing out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi to shun big-money move to the Chinese Super League to help revive the club.


Les Phoceens were ready to rescue Mikel from his Chelsea nightmare in the summer but the player’s reported £3.4m-a-year salary reportedly aborted the move.

With club owner McCourt ready to spend in January – and Mikel yet to play a single game for Chelsea since the beginning of the season – reports in France on Sunday claimed Marseille were ready to sign the 29-year-old.

Former Swansea forward Bafetimbi Gomis is currently Les Phoceens’ highest-paid player at €420,000 per month, according to L’Equipe.

King Sunny Ade celebrated his 70th birthday on Sunday, December 11 and his iconic guitar was auctioned to the highest bidder.

The opening bid was at N9 million but the bid was eventually won by Nigerian mogul, Tunde Folawiyo, the son of late Nigerian businessman, Wahab Folawiyo.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola were among those that bidded but were beaten to it by Tunde who got the guitar for N52.1m.

The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, says the victory of the Super Falcons at the Africa Women Cup of Nations shows that with determination Nigeria can overcome its challenges.


Saraki said this in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, on Sunday in Abuja.

Saraki, who hailed the Super Falcons for retaining the title, said the victory could not have come at a better moment.

“The record win of the AWCON Cup by the Super Falcons has again demonstrated clearly that with determination we can surmount any obstacle confronting us as a nation.

“I have no doubt that through team work and single-mindedness, we can overcome our present economic challenges,’’ he was quoted as saying.

The Super Falcons won the AWCON in Cameroon after beating the host team 1-0 to retain the title in Yaounde on Saturday.

And Saraki commended the members of the team and technical crew for their patriotism and sense of purpose.

He called for more government and private sector support to enable Nigerian sportsmen and women excel in their career.

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a pastor, identified as Adekunle Francis, for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl, simply identified as Dolapo.



Francis was arrested on November 22 at Ipamesan, Sango Ota, after he allegedly lured his victim into an uncompleted building under the pretext of praying for and anointing her.

He was said to have raped her until she passed out.

The pastor was paraded on Thursday before newsmen at the state police command headquarters.

Parading the suspect, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the victim reported her ordeal at the Sango Police Station.

According to him, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Akinsola Ogunwale, dispatched a team of detectives to the scene where the suspect was arrested.

The PPRO said, “On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime. He told policemen at the Sango Police Division that the act was the work of the devil.

“The state Commissioner of Police, CP, Ahmed Iliyasu, had ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Abeokuta, for further investigation,” he added

A bride in Ghana was left devastated after her big day was ruined by her cheating groom’s lover. The said lover burst into the wedding venue in a wedding dress and tried to make a scene.

Shouting and screaming can be heard and, at one stage, the woman grabs the mic and speaks to the audience in a local dialect, apparently explaining that the groom is a philanderer.

It is unclear whether the ceremony went ahead, however GhanaAudioVisiualNews claimed a fight later erupted in the hall.

Nobody Can Impose Representatives On Rivers People- Gov Wike Speaks From The Alter

Rivers State Governor , Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that the state is too big for anybody to impose representatives on the people, stressing that the people must be allowed to elect their representatives .



Speaking during a PDP dedication service for the flag off campaign of 2016 re-run/supplementary election in the state at Saint Paul's Anglican Church in Port Harcourt on Sunday , Governor Wike urged the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) to be neutral in the course of the rerun election to ensure that the will of the people prevails .



He said: "This election will prove whether INEC is ready to conduct free and fair elections in Nigeria . "

The governor noted that the PDP remains committed to violence-free elections , pointing out that the opponents of PDP should play within the rules of engagement.



"What causes violence during election is when the umpire wants to manipulate , rig or write results. We will resist any attempt to write results.



"PDP will not be involved in anything violent, but we will not allow anyone to steal our votes. We will protect our votes and make that the people's mandate is declared", he said.



The governor explained that the PDP was dedicating its forthcoming campaigns for the rerun elections to God, because the party relies on God for victories.



He noted that the PDP is sure of victory at the rerun polls because of the massive achievements of his administration in the last 17 months .



The dedication service for the flag off of the campaign for the rerun elections was attended by Deputy Governor, Ipalibo Harry Banigo, State and National Assembly members, Political Leaders of the state , Commissioners , Local Government Chairmen, Women and youth groups.



Venerable John Adubasim of the Saint Paul's Anglican Church while dedicating the PDP campaigns for the rerun elections to God, asked members of the party to trust in the Lord for their sustenance and victory .



Earlier on Sunday, Governor Wike worshipped at the Emmanuel Anglican Church , Okoro-Nu-Odo Deanery during the church's 2016 Annual Adult Harvest Thanksgiving .



Speaking, Governor Wike said his administration will fight crime across all communities . He, however, warned against the politicisation of crime.



He said anyone is caught commiting crime while be made to face the weight of the law .
