Not at all. Its their fault and not yours. You gave them enough time to process your application. My intended travel date (hotel and flight) was March 01 and i just got my passport yesterday March 11th......... Hope that answers your question.

How do you go about the flight and booking issue. That my problems for now.all have been seeing are requesting for payment before confirmation.

My issue with uk is all the plenty plenty explanation you need to give.
1.i earn just 165k month and from there dem dey comot sch fees 15k monthly (standing order) so amount wey dey enter my account na 150k

4.i dey sell ankara for Instagram. How i wan take explain ds wan join

Calm down. Getting angry won't put that sticker inside your passport. If you miss something first time, find what the worry is and solve.
I found out a whole lot of things today, like vibrant99 said, the fellow wants to give me, but instead of denying me totally he gave me a 214b ,it then means, suppose he was very convinced with me, he would have given me my visa, shows somehow I was close.
It's not the end of the world nwanne, you can still research and find what the worry is. I'm not married and I don't have any travel records, I have to correct those and try again. Even tho not the marriage(as I haven't seen anyone to marry yet) , but get a conference maybe in Brazil, or Qatar related to offshore oil and gas, and come home before applying for the other one come november... Nigerian passport holder do require a short-term visa ( visitor Visa) for Iceland. Please take Note, Iceland don’t have an embassy here in Nigeria. But since is a Schengen state, the Royal Norwegian embassy handles visa application on behalf of Iceland.you follow the same procedure used when applying for a Norway Visa. Remember all visa applications must be made at VFS Global in Abuja or lagos. And always apply for your visitor visa at least 30 days before your departure date.

Don’t forget to check your eligibility before starting the application process and submit your application in time before your flight departure date.
This process applies to Nigerian passport holders only.

Types of visas

Short-term visa: this is perfect for those who want to go to Iceland for a holiday.

Single-entry visa: this type will only allow you to enter the country once.your are not permitted to enter again. This visa is valid for 90 days within six months.

Double entry visa: with this you enter the country twice. The maximum number of days is 90 days.and each visit must not exceed 90 days.

Multiple-entry visa: you may enter the country as many times as you like. There are one,three and five-year multiple-entry visas Each visit allows you to stay in Iceland for 90days!

Visa processing time frame

The current time frame for an Iceland visa application is four weeks from the date you submitted it at VFS Global either in Abuja or lagos. The embassy will let you know if your visa application has been granted or not within 15 days of receiving your application.

Visa collection

You will be notified either by email,sms,letter or telephone call when your application has been processed.once your application has been approved,you can collect it at VFS visa application center where you applied.A sticker will be placed in your passport.is then your responsibility to make sure that the duration of your stay is correctly stated on the sticker.

Visa cost

Schengen visa ( short-term) Adult

€60(N24,560)

Schengen visa (short-term) child between 6-12 years of age €35

Credit or debit card card needed to pay for this application fee!

VFS Global’s Additional Services will assist you with the online payment if you do not have credit or debit card at the cost of N4000.

VFS Service Charge

VFS Service charge 12600 naira

Mandatory courier fee(fee charged for couriering documents to Accra) N7050 Total at N19650

Mind you that the VFS Global service charge is a mandatory courier fee.

This service charge and courier fee must be paid in a bank implanted inside the VFS Global center

To sum it up:

You will have to make two payments

1. Visa application fee ( debit/credit card only) – N24,560

2. VFS service charge and mandatory courier fee( cash only)-N19650

Iceland visa requirements

Before doing the submittion of your passport and other documents,you are required to register your application online through the Norwegian Directorate of immigration’s Application portal.once you have registered,you will receive confirmation by email with a cover letter attached.

In addition,the following documents are required:

Fee receipt and cover letter from APN (Application portal Norway)one passport -size photo ( no older than three months,white background,35 x 45mm)

Passport- issued within the last 10 years with a validity that exceeds the end of your stay by at least three months. Your passport must have at least two blank pages for visa stamps.

Previous passport if a new passport has been issued within the past three years

Completed questionnaires( found on the tourist visa checklist) 1x copy of personal documentation ( ID,birth certificate)

Documents confirming civil status (e.g.single, married, divorced,widow)

If you are self- employed,provide a business registration certificate

If you are employed,provide your employer’s letter with details such as your position in the company,leave duration,etc.

Proof of financial means- original bank statements( company or individual) of the last three months

Travel medical insurance- covering the entire period of intended stay,valid for all Schengen states and covering an expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons,urgent medical attention, emergency hospital treatment or death during your stay (minimum coverage of €30,000)

Use the tourist checklist and Questionnaire to help you ensure that you have all the required documents.

Like Omobendel pointed out, it looks like you used an agent. Even if you didn't, Homestay and building contractor definitely raised the flags and reduced your chances. I will advice you get on to Quora.com and follow the posts a retired VO called "Kathry Berck" responds to. You need to understand that the VOs default posture is not to give you visa, if you give them any doubt then you make it easy for them. They are trained not to give visas until you convince them. Good luck

I promised my child a vacation to the state this year but our application was denied she felt very bad cos she has been looking forward to the vacation which was supposed to be for easter has my job will not permit me to go for summer.
What are the chances of getting a trv esp for a usa denial since they share information.

Introduction Letters from employer
Offer of employment and recent promotion letter
Leave approval letter
Commonlaw union form.
Flight ticket (booking only).
Hotel Reservations (booking.com)
Bank statement with sufficient funds(online generated with stamp and signed)
A Cover Letter
Letter of purpose explaining Reason for trip
-Planned itinerary (places we plan to visit in vascovour with dates)
-Source of funds (stating I will be sponsoring the trip with funds i was able to save from my salary as my patner takes care of my day to day needs and that I get gift fund from friend )
-Trip expenditure breakdown (this included amount allocated to flights, Hotel, feeding, entertainment and shopping, extra cash incase of misc . The total of this is available in your bank statement with healthy amount left.( For a 10 day stay i budget a total of CDN $5000)
-no my Travel history expect my vacation to Ghana with fiancee
-an upcoming trip to Dubai with fiancee in dec

Will be truthful with us visa refusals.

The problem as highlighted by the applicant isn’t that of the DS-160, it is rather of the appointment confirmation. I think he should call/do them a mail and see if they have a way round this for him, really don’t know about this one. This situation may ultimately lead to a rescheduling of interview as a last resort, dunno. I’m also thinking he may have to go in for an interview and appealingly get the VO to do justice to this before interview commences, but I don’t see him getting past those at intake yet. So, e be like say me I no get hand for this one pass here oh!
