simpleseyi:
Do not be unequally yoked with an un-believer. Who is an un-believer? Did the bible state anywhere that a muslim is an un-believer? To me an un-believer is someone who does not believer that there is God including those that worship idols. about muslims?
Christians have a common interpretation of the word ''un-believer''. If you do not believe in the sovereignty of God [of the Bible], the teachings of Christ and every thing He represents, you're the un-believer the Bible talks about [ Full stop].
And if I'm correct, the ideas of christians and muslims on the issue of divinity clash in many aspects, so let's not kid ourselves.  cool Everyone is a 'believer' . . . . the question is - believer of what?

simpleseyi:
You all make me sad. How do you think that God feels  when He sees us His children dividing ourselves according to religion. Religion is supposed to bring us closer to God but from different perspective but unfortuantely we are drifting further away from God due to religion. It borthers me that worshippers ogun (god of iron in Yoruba land) and sango (god of thunder in Yoruba land) do not discriminate against each other but we that say that we worship God hate each other.
Hmmm . . . This 'God' you keep referring to, which exactly? God of the Bible  or the muslim god?

I often laugh when people preach unity when the issue of religion is raised. How is it possible for us to be the same [ at least, in this aspect] when we obviously aren't?!
You think 1+1=3 and and I think 1+1=4 . . .You wouldn't change your opinion, neither would I. Just how do I shove all that aside, wear a false smile and say bodly, 'We both understand addition and are good at it', when the next time we're asked to compute 1+1 we'd be fighting each other?!
Tolerance - Yes . . . . 'We're one' - For those that enjoy lying to themselves.

MRbrownJAY:
@poster
lady, let ME be the one being honest to you here since many are just sugar coating shiit.
marriage is NOT meant for everyone and by the look of things, you wont find the ONE very soon. GOD didnt send these no good men towards you, you did.
as we can see by your track record, you are either looking at the wrong places or putting your standards too high, either way at 42yrs of age, i hope you lived life to the fullest and didnt expect a Marriage to make you A WOMEN.

the fact that you even started dating this muslim guy KNOWING FULLY WELL what happened in the past, shows that you obviously dont learn from your mistakes. at 20 i would understood, 30 too but at 42, you best take any man that has a full set of teeth and all his hair on top. this is no time to be choosy (or accept that it could be a long and lonely ride). . . . . .  . .at this rate you will be 80yrs old and STILL single lamenting on all the good guys that you let by.

btw, you said ¨NOW you are ready for marriage¨ werent you ready all along?!

i am sure if you ask your pastor, he will tell you to PRAY, so since you are 6 god fearing like that¨ i suggest you PRAY until that RIGHT one comes along.
Death! @ the part in bold. grin grin grin You're not serious at all.  grin

zayzee:
Remember the Bible says do not be unequally yoked. Do not settle for less. Are you thinking of marrying him just because you are 42 and you think time is running out? God's promises may be late but they surely come. He alone understands His timing. But then, do you love this man? if you think about your future, can you see him in it 5, 10, 15 yrs from today? do you think you can have long term happiness and peace with this man? I'm not trying to discourage you. My friend's cousin married this January at the age of 51. She had never been married and everyone had given up on her. but she met a man who had also never been married and the rest is history. Hold God strong. At the time when we most feel like giving up, our breakthroughs are closer than we think. Don't miss it. If you are on facebook, join the group Covenant Singles and Married Ministries. There are loads of Christians to encourage you there.
Mint!!!  cool

Poster,
If you're a born-again christian, you should understand what the Bible says about situations like this. Look in the right places and keep trusting God, for whatever situation he permits, he permits for a reason. smiley

What do you get when a witch is on Youtube (a video sharing website where users can share, upload and watch videos)? She confesses about many things especially about late rapper, Dagrin. You also get mixed reactions in the form of “authoritative” analysis, illogical explanations, denials etc.
Lately, twitter was awash with info from Nigerians about “a witch” who claimed to be helping some Nigerians in climbing the ladder of success .

The “witch” (Esther Falodun) mentioned many notable Nigerians from Obasanjo to Babaginda but what caught many people’s attention was that Dagrin’s name is on her list as well as Fathia’s and Saidi Balogun in the video titled Asiri Nla.
Sources said the alleged “witch” died immediately after her confession in which she claimed to belong to the same group as Fathia Balogun and that she helped Dagrin to attain fame and popularity. Falodun said she had to cut him “short” when he did not honor his part of the deal.

Dagrin’s name in her list of beneficiaries surprised quite some people, because the deceased rapper died within six months of his rise to stardom. It’s indisputable that the late rapper became famous by featuring in YQ’s album in 2009. He established himself as an artist of note with lyrical rhythms and many collabos . His second album was a classic hit and many predicted he would rule 2010, but just when the fame and money started rolling in, Dagrin, whose real name is Olaitan Olaonipekun died few days after a ghastly motor accident at a Lagos hospital.

Falodun’s confession which is on CD is selling in Lagos and has resulted in a controversy about the authenticity of her confessions. Many believe her confessions were stage-managed.
Tunde, Dagrin’s manager, said the woman lied. “The whole thing was cooked-up . We don’t have time for people like that. The young woman also alleged she helped Obasanjo and Babaginda. How old was she to have helped these people? Secondly, she confessed in a room privately. A confession is not done in a room, it is done publicly. They are looking for what to eat” he concluded.

Ope Banwo said the video and confession CD is “riddled with inaccuracies, production and factual flaws” . “To be honest with you, the whole thing is fake. I have watched the video and I’m sure the whole thing is fake. The video depicted a woman who had been beaten . A chicken was beside the woman and it didn’t move for one hour. Does that look real to you … ?

BTW, I just have to add that, if you all showed as little as 1/3 of  the positive interest you're showing in this man's health, in the case of the 'ordinary' children dying of mere hunger daily, the world would be a better place. Don't you think?

London:  Apple founder and CEO Steve Jobs has terminal pancreatic cancer and may live for just six more weeks, a media report said on Thursday.

The 55-year-old Jobs in January announced that at his request, the board of directors granted him a medical leave of absence so that he could focus on his health.

Since then, employees have said Jobs can still be seen at the company's headquarters in California and is also calling all the strategic shots from his home.

Now, new pictures have been published in the tabloid National Enquirer, which suggest things may be worse for the man behind the iPod, iPhone and iPad.

The report said Jobs is stricken with pancreatic cancer and may have just six weeks to live.

The new photos show him looking painfully frail and weak, with his jeans and dark top hanging loosely on his six-feet-two-inches, frail body, the Daily Mail reported.

The pictures were not yet available online, but Jobs's weight is said to have dropped from a pre-cancer 175 pounds to 130 pounds now, according to the National Enquirer.

His thinning hair was a sign of the effects of chemotherapy used to treat the disease.

The photos, which were taken Feb 8, showed Jobs going for breakfast with his wife Laurene Powell before heading to the Stanford Cancer Centre in California.

Jerome Spunberg, a doctor, said: 'Mr. Jobs is most likely getting outpatient chemotherapy at Stanford because the cancer has recurred.'

Gabe Mirkin, a physician with 40 years' experience, said: 'He is terminal. What you are seeing is extreme muscle wasting from calorie deprivation, most likely caused by cancer. He has no muscle left in his buttocks, which is the last place to go.'

'He definitely appears to be in the terminal stages of his life from these photos. I would be surprised if he weighed more than 130 pounds.'

Critical care physician Samuel Jacobson also said: 'Judging from the photos, he is close to terminal. I would say he has six weeks.'

A source, who recently saw Jobs, added: 'He is very frail, moving like a weak, feeble old man. He weaves back and forth when he walks, as if he is having trouble keeping his balance, and the pain of every step is evident on his face.'

The Apple CEO, who is worth $6 billion, is currently on his third medical leave, and has battled a rare form of pancreatic cancer for seven years and had a liver transplant in 2009.

An Apple spokesman did not comment on the new photos.
