FoodRe: Complimentary Feeding For Babies At 6 Months And Above by MissyB3(mod): 10:56pm On Apr 26, 2012
Yes, babies need formula or breastmilk for the first six months of life, after which they can be fed solid foods.

Here's a helpful link, though - http://voices.yahoo.com/why-delay-solids-until-baby-6-months-old-179752.html?cat=25
FamilyRe: Nigerian Women Hiding Money From Spouses Becoming A Serious Issue by MissyB3(f): 10:34pm On Apr 25, 2012
If you're married to a partner with a good head on his shoulders, you should have no fear/problems managing funds together, it makes both parties economically conscious with proper spending. If things eventually go sour, every gain and loss are split into 2 equal parts.

However, women without any form of safeguard should endeavor to be percuniarily wise. Unfortunately, most home-based Naija women fall under this category, so who can blame them for wanting to save for a rainy day.
CelebritiesRe: Davido Apologizes For Flaunting ₦10M Cheque On Twitter by MissyB3(mod): 9:38pm On Apr 25, 2012
”I’m sorry to those that were offended by the picture [I posted earlier]. I never knew God would take me this far and I got a little carried away. Una own sef go come (yours will also come).
Now, this is the way to go. Good one!

BTW, he's only a teenager? I really know little or nothing about these 'new' and upcoming artistes.
I felt like slapping my PC screen just to deal with him when I viewed one of his interviews.
He came across as a very annoying kid, he further confirmed being a baby by posting the controversial photo and calling it 'change'.

For some inexplainable reason, I find that act in bad taste, it's quite impressive he acknowledged his problem and even apologized.

FamilyRe: Attitude Issues by MissyB3(f):
Like CC said, knowing there's a problem and trying to get it solved is a positive step.

I, too, had to gradually modify some aspect of my personality as I grew up and I know other people that did likewise, so it's nothing abnormal. No one has a perfect character, and only the strong has the strength to modify the ugly aspect of himself. . .It's much easier to ignore it than to repair it.

If it has gotten to the point where people avoid you because of that thing you do, it is that bad and it's time to change. It doesn't mean you're not proud of you, as a person, or trying to please others, it simply means you want to be a better person for yourself.
Why don't you start by trying as much as possible to keep quiet each time you think you're about to say one of those 'blunt things'? A simple ''I hope I didn't offend you'' at the end of those 'blunt things' could also help, and if the person's answer is an affirmative, nothing is wrong with apologizing.

PS: There are times you need to be blunt and times you need to be mild, yours is a problem only because you seem not to know when to turn on which switch.

@991
I'm sorry for the shorthands. It's just that i'm kind of used to it. I'll try and watch it next time. For the movies actors and actresses, i don't even know most of them, I think the only name that sounds familiar out of those you mentioned is N. Edo, who i might even find it hard to recognize if i see her (i don't really watch Nigerian movies like that). So, i really don't think i'm trying to copy them but i'll try and be better in my approach to people. To all others who have commented, I really appreciate your comments.
If this is how you roll in the real world, then those that try to avoid you because of your attitude wouldn't touch me with a ten-foot pole. cheesy If this is you trying to improve your attitude, I say well-done. Nice one!

991 actually exaggerated by demanding too much needless respect, and I'm not sure I would have been as cool as you were in responding.
It's a blatant lie . . .Nothing says 'rude' or 'bad attitude' in your posts on this thread, so far.
I also do not fancy shorthand but it gives me no right to impose what I like on others.
The rule is simple : Be you and do what you enjoy doing, as long as you do not hurt anyone in the process.

FamilyRe: I Dont Use My Weddin Ring, does It Mean Am Cheating? by MissyB3(f):
Scash: U got used to wearing ur earrings, nothin stops u from learning how to get used to wear ur ring. Learn!
This is a classic example of a deed that's lawful but not expedient. A married woman going about town without her ring is just inviting trouble and malicious gossip. Even if your husband is totally fine with it, you should be wearing a ring because it signals that you are a respectable married woman. The truth is the rings aren't really for the married couple (they already know that they are married to each other), they are symbols/signs for the outside world.
Seconded!
LOL!!

Its like saying that when a man gets married, he stops cheating!! REALLY!!

Or just because a guy is past the age of 18/21 (depending on the laws in your domain), he or she stops doing what he use to. . Its not like we walk around just discussing women. . But when boys are relaxed and just chilling, talking about women is something MEN do. . except for the few exceptions. . but that dont make them any more manly than the rest of us.

I and my guys still talk about women, some of my frineds still chase women for sports. The difference between us being boys and now men is that we know how to strike the balance between work and play. And we do respect each others privacy. . but then. .
Okija, don't sugar-coat it. If you still narrate your sexùal escapades to your friends, it's infantile, stop it. cheesy
Like women, men discuss the opposite sex, I know . . . Just know what to omit.
If you and your friends do, and are responsible, you wouldn't have a reason to be scared your friend is involved with your sister. wink
Awwwww!! The truth is we may not emphasize on the fhucking technidue or go into explicit details like that, but boys are boys and we do talk about women and explicitly atimes. Even 50 yr old men do. . . so whats your point?
The part in bold is my point, hence my question. I agree!
When boys become men, they behave like men and respect privacy.
Guy!!

Imagine us gathered, sitted at a bar or pub talking about our sexcapades and the friend dating my sister starts talking about his. . . Imagine the trauma!!

Biko I cant. . . My sister or our friendship. . He cant have both!! NEVER!!!
Like, how old are you and your friends that you still narrate your sexùal escapades? 12?

Exponental: For me Yes!
Its only birds of d same feather whose hands are not clean that shld be worried.
