Is this a different video? 'Cause it's quite different and, at the same time, similar to the one Ogugua posted. ![]() I prefer this one (Okay, the beginning) . . . It has more movements and life in it than the one I saw earlier. |

I love groundnut soup. My aunt makes it so well, it's a shame I never watched her make it. Yummy! The recipe above seems so simple, my aunt's procedure is more complicated. Try the one above and give us feedback. |
GROUNDNUT SOUP serves 4 500g / llb assorted parts of meat (washed) I medium smoked fish (washed) 225g / 8oz stockfish 225g / 8oz bushmeat (washed) 500g / 8oz roasted groundnuts lpt stock or water 100g / 4oz ground crayfish 25g / loz iru (locust bean) 2 medium fresh tomatoes 100g / 4oz ground pepper I onion 3 large pepper (tatase) salt to taste Place the washed meats in a large pot, add a drop of wa ter or stock, season with salt and ground pepper and boil for 30 minutes or until tender. Add the smoked fish and stockfish, cook for another l0 minutes. Add the rest of the stock. Bring to the boil and add the ground fresh tomatoes, onions, pepper, iru and groundnut. Cook for 20 minutes until the soup thickens. Sprinkle in ground crayfish and stir. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Check seasoning and serve hot with boiled rice. http://www.onlinenigeria.com/links/Recipesadv.asp?blurb=428 |
My breakfast sometimes is milk, bread and sardine, and no, never has it given me an upset stomach. Perhaps, you have some specific allergy to them, no? |
It's needless to say I agree with you that the level of intolerance and disrespect towards Christians and their credence is a saddening shame, but I do not think having a section for Christians will solve the problem. Should one be created, it's not going to be restricted to Christians alone, so what's the use, as these uncouth elements would still find their way there. I think the Religion section needs strict moderators, I have no idea how the present mods operate though. No insolent post should last more than 60 seconds and no regular offender should be spared a ban. If the mods are already strict, get stricter. |

The first part is why people call religion the opiate of the masses.Your/their problem! Johndoe100: This your hypothesis is sadly not true.Because? thehomer: I think this video appropriately describes the mindset you're displaying.Suzie is a good kid and she ought to get a pat on the back. But, the point of that video is?uhonmora: From all indications, this is an accident due to man's error and negligence.I have not argued the cause of the horrible incident, neither have I spoken of it. My point is Nothing happens without God's permission . . . Yes, inclusive of this accident. I dont see any positive reason in losing a family of 5, or losing your wife and only kid, or loosing the breadwinner of the family with nothing to fall back on.See my previous post below: The only thing is, we usually do not see things from God's perspective. . .What we deem trouble/disaster may not necessarily be so in God's eyes.I, too, as a mere human with limited sight and knowledge, may not see anything positive in losing a loved one, but I was informed beforehand; His ways and thoughts are different from mine. It only makes sense for me to trust the plans, decisions and works of my superior, as He knows better. By the way, not everyone sees death as something horrible . . .The only sad but true thing is we all cannot die in our sleep, peacefully with a smile on the face. BTW, The only point I have made on this thread so far is : Nothing happens without God's permission. If you're going to rebut it, it's necessary that you share the same faith as me, so we can use the same reference book, as I don't see how we can avoid a back and forth if we are using different materials. |

logicboy: lol....that's all you can say? I hope you shut up and stay silent in church;I understand you'll do and say anything to be engaged in a [fruitless] conversation, it's quite sad you don't reckon my reply to you implied disinterest in any futile back and forth. If you ever think up something meaningful, discussion-worthy and on-topic, I should be a willing interlocutor. Until then, step aside! |
logicboy: Yes and the slavery of our Nigerian forefathers by christian Europeans is God's doing.Your cross, carry it! |
Nothing happens without God's permission. . .Not even this plane crash. If he permits it, it's for a reason; always a positive reason for His children. The only thing is, we usually do not see things from God's perspective. . .What we deem trouble/disaster may not necessarily be so in God's eyes. I read of a girl who was supposed to board that plane but missed it because she fell asleep . . .That, too, is for a reason. Believers believe nothing happens by chance, accident or luck. . .God makes the choice. I have seen a lot of children of God who died and knew they were about to die and were happy dying.Likewise. |
MykeJones, A million thanks for this thread . . .I actually needed the uncontrollable laughter it gave me. I feel much better now. Plus, yes, no one is immune from mugu-rity. Hopefully, others go with the flow. Inside the bus,i was just fuming anyhow. Suddenly i just shouted "fcck!!!!". All the other passengers turned sharpely..even the driver.#Dead! https://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/24.gif |

It's called emotional cheating . . .Typical of people like me who have wandering hearts and emotions. ![]() Telling your partner about it helps to discourage its development into physical cheating, but how many partners are mature enough to understand, handle and help the situation? Few! |
Is it possible for us to receive messages on NL rather than in our mail boxes; i.e the way it used to function on the old NL? It's a wonder this unnecessary change hasn't been done away with uptill now. |
Millet : http://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com/milletbabyfoodrecipes.htm http://milletindia.org/recipes/Millet%20Recipes_6months-6yearsofage.pdf Those 2 links contain several Millet recipes. . .Choose the most suitable. Soybeans: Rinse the soybeans several times in cold water. Place into a pot, cover with water, and soak overnight in the refrigerator. In the morning, drain the pot. Add 2 cups of water, bring to a boil, and then simmer for 2–2½ hours. Once the beans are tender, drain and pour into a food processor or blender. Purée for 30 seconds. Add water or milk, 1 tablespoon at a time. Continue puréeing until the mixture is smooth. Use Your Strainer Even after puréeing your baby's meal until it seems thin enough, it still may be too thick or chunky for a baby to handle. If your baby gags or refuses to eat, try pouring the puréed food into a sieve or strainer. Use a rubber spatula to press the food through, and the resulting purée should be considerably thinner. http://www.netplaces.com/cooking-for-baby-toddlers/69-months/soybean-pure.htm OR Ingredients/tools: 1. One big custard rubber of soya bean seed. 2. manual/hand blender Method: Buy about one big custard measure of soya bean seed. Pick it one at a time to remove the sand. After picking, put a frying pan on fire, pour the soya beans inside and keep stiring it with a wooden spoon or spoon until it starts drying like roasted groundnut and colour changes to a bit brownish. Once you can peel the roasted back like ground nut, it is ok. Pour into a tray to cool. Pour into a manual blender (adjust the blender so that it will be loose) and gently blend to remove the hard skin. Winow (blow with a tray or hand fan) the soya bean with the skin to remove the skin. Tighten the blender and blend until the soya bean is well blended (that is when it become powdered). Your soya bean is ready. Pour into a tight covered container and label with the date of production. https://www.nairaland.com/132430/best-baby-food Hope it helps. |
