TisaBone: one time i read a book, and the man said he couldn't stand the thought of his wife blowing him with the same mouth that kisses his children.

which leads me to believe that if a woman is spectacular in bed, (one that you consider wife material) then the next thing you know, you will be wondering how she got to be so good in bed. then you will start to get insecure, wondering who and how many she has been with before you. then you will start pressing for the answers, knowing that you really dont want the truth. then you will start making accusations that are unfounded. and then she will be a heaux in your eyes. what you want is a girlfriend. because im pretty sure that u would not be comfortable with your wife being a freak, and instead would go get your needs met by someone else.

hell, everyone knows my journey in maintaining my celibacy, abstaining from sex until marriage, and im accused of being a nymphomaniac for thinking about sex!!! It's as if a woman isn't supposed to want to get laid as much as a man, when I we do. tongue tongue tongue tongue
I think it's a two-way street.
If my hypothetical virgin husband is a pro at cunnilingus, i'd be extremely curious as to where he learnt his skills, as things like that are not innate but perfected by practice, so there ought to be an acceptable explanation for it, otherwise . . . Doubt which is a prelude to wahala steps in.

However, for the smart, there are so many excuses/explanations to bail oneself out. tongue

Avoid junk food, it can make you fat but it's unhealthy.
Increase your daily caloric intake; eat nutritious food that are high in calories.
Rest often. Do not skip your meals. . .increase your food portion size.
FoodRe: Nairaland Dieticians And Nutritionists, please Help Me Get Fat by MissyB3(mod): 10:08am On May 30, 2012
The complications of human wants. Some are desperate to get fat, while some are desperate to get slim.

If you're genetically thin, there's pretty much nothing you can do to get fat.
The idea is - eat healthy like a normal person, love and carry yourself with confidence.
FamilyRe: Can You Point Out Where I Was Wrong? A Loose Loose Situation???? by MissyB3(f): 9:42am On May 30, 2012
They've said it all. The 3 points I was going to underline.

She has absolutely no right to compare you with her ex. The last boyfriend is tagged an ex for a purpose so if she can't forgive you for being somewhat economical with the truth then she had better go back to him.
You sound like a decent young man, your partner should take things easy and not mount too much pressure on you so that you don't break down from the whole work/business/survival stress.
I don't see where you went wrong, your woman just have to chill out and relax

RomanceRe: Interested In Moderating This Section? by MissyB3(f): 12:05pm On May 25, 2012
Those that love and want to serve the Lord must do so in spirit and in truth, where else is best to do so if not in any of the religious threads in the Religion section . . .Of course, as an ordinary member. grin
The romance section needs someone willing to serve the people. Abi no be so? dem no dey read Bible inside club. undecided

[s]If you learned to allow others express their opinion without jumping down their throat as a result of insecurity and desperation, Missy B wouldn't have had more than 1 post on this thread. cool You shoulda used this humility and 'ignore-mode' tactic from the start.[/s]
RomanceRe: Interested In Moderating This Section? by MissyB3(f): 11:40am On May 25, 2012
One of the primary goals of Nairaland is to unite people, thereby encouraging friendship, so it wouldn't make sense to disqualify someone simply because they are friends with other people.
However, playing dumb not to understand the angle from which we speak of 'clique' is not funny . . .Have friends if you will, but not at the detriment of others, not to give others trouble or cut them off, isolate them. cheesy

Rocktation has also shown availability, send her. cool

ogbeche77: U go fear now, the lobby for power in this romance section is amazing
Wonder what will happens if allocations were involved & to be shared, no be small thing.. Abi is there something we are missing
You nor know Seun dey pay moderators? Why else would Killz be this desperate to belong? You sef berra apply. grin
RomanceRe: Interested In Moderating This Section? by MissyB3(f): 11:23am On May 25, 2012
Individuals with zero-tolerance for nonsense is NOT what Nairaland/the romance section needs. We need people who are committed to making Nairaland or a particular section more conducive for everyone, not just for ourselves or friends.
Moderators have rules and regulations, one of those rules clearly states on what occasions threads should be locked, moved and/or deleted. We do not act on emotions . . .We do not allow a thread live because we like it nor let it die a natural death because it's bullshit in our opinion.
See the incompetence I'm talking about! cheesy

We do not need over-sensitive moderators . . .else the section dies slowly.
We need someone who can smile and still be stern.

Who else is fit for the task, if not Rocktation who, in all humility, isn't blowing her trumpet or making empty promises but only signified interest and is willing to learn by working, willing to give her best. wink I rest my case, again. ** Waves the Rocktation flag** grin grin
RomanceRe: Interested In Moderating This Section? by MissyB3(f): 10:58am On May 25, 2012
Now that Rocktation has signified interest, can we now review her posts/activities on NL and assign her to duty right away.
At least, in her case there are no BUTs . . .No uncertainties about her going back to her 'old non-exemplary NL personality' after being made the moderator. Good girl as an ordinary member . . . Good girl as a moderator.

Never/hardly is she involved in the usual romance section shenanigan, plus, she seems to possess the capability to contribute/be active/interact with members in a board and still maintain orderliness with her mod powers without favoritism. . .Thanks to her refusal to be a member of any clique.
I doubt you'd want to appoint a mod now and be looking for another one in the next 2 months because the just appointed one failed to let go of his 'old self' . . . The leopard cannot change its spots, remember. grin
Did I mention she is cute, now, tell me, in a romance section, isn't it just right to have a moderator who's not only well-spoken, level-headed, jovial, authoritative, but also beautiful? Do I go on? cool

I hope I have been able to convince Mukina and Seun that Rocktation is just the right person. We don't want those yeye politicians wannabe that make promises to turn a new leaf but when they are elected, fa fa fa - fowl grin

For now, I rest my case. cheesy

Shebi your desperation to become a mod made you attack my post, just start dying oh because you do not qualify now . . .neither will you in the future. Next time, when you see my posts, you'll look away. cool
RomanceRe: Interested In Moderating This Section? by MissyB3(f): 2:37pm On May 24, 2012
If we cannot moderate the section, why o why did mukina set up this thread, asking for interested ones FROM the romance section to signify their interest? And why again did she not use the already established "sane" and "overqualified" moderators from the other sections? I laugh in ngwa. . .
I really hate it to my fccking bones when a group of people talk as if the world belonged to them. Who knows, out of the 80% you just downgraded could come the best moderator the romance section had. If you wanna nominate someone, do so gently, if you are interested, say so and avoid the "over sabi" snide remarks most people make about the romance section. "Romance section is this", "Romance section is that", "the people there are insane" "the people there are antithetical" AND YET, you CANNOT get enough of the Romance section! Gimme a break! Burning desire to moderate? Hello, i can as well withdraw my interest this minute and it won't affect my life in any complicated way. If i did not think i'll do it well, i won't bother signifying.
This is getting friggin boring mehn. . .

Noise!

Hello, i can as well withdraw my interest this minute and it won't affect my life in any complicated way
Do so and surprise me! grin

If you wanna nominate someone, do so gently,
Exactly what I did until your insecurity made you attack my post.

if you are interested, say so
No, thanks. The Food section is enough for me, and I can allow you take over if you need it that badly.

Lastly, I have accorded you enough attention. Now, stick to licking your wounds, you're not my nominee, neither are you anyone else's. tongue

RomanceRe: Interested In Moderating This Section? by MissyB3(f): 2:03pm On May 24, 2012
Talking about clans, why is it that when i supposedly send a private message to a super mod, someone else reads it an uses it to openly attack me? Is that part of the plan too? And is that not a clan? What are you saying sef? Can you really like everyone you come across? Who you think insane might be sane to the next person. . .

Mods have certain privileges - Whether having to see other people's msgs is part of these privileges is out of the question - but that does not make moderators a clique (from the angle we're looking at it).

It's not about liking or hating anyone, truth is, more than 80% of you lot cannot moderate this section like it ought to be moderated.

That said, you're trying too hard to be defensive, when you haven't even been called out.
I understand the burning desire to moderate, but relax . . . if you're deemed fit, I doubt only my opinion will disqualify you.
RomanceRe: Interested In Moderating This Section? by MissyB3(f): 12:47pm On May 24, 2012
Like Ogugua stated, too many clods clans in this section, one can hardly pick out 5 sane and appropriate individuals.

Rocktation is perfect for the position if she's willing. She's not only level-headed and active (lately), she's also not part of any clique hence a high possibility of her performing her tasks w/out being biased.
FamilyRe: Husband Has HIV But Wife Does Not Know by MissyB3(f): 10:53pm On May 23, 2012
MRbrownJAY: @OP
if you were the partner of an secret hiv carrier, would you like complete strangers to let you know about your man's status?
and if you were the infected man hiding it from your wife, would you think it is ok that she learn of your status from complete strangers?
A resounding yes.
I'd be hurt I had to be informed by an outsider (my anger would be directed at him, of course) but the hurt cannot be compared to what I'd feel if by the time I eventually find out, I've been infected . . .Thanks to his reticence.

Why was the thread not launched in the right section, in the first place?
Plus, this thread is fine where it is. Relax.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Why The Street Naming Patern In Owerri by MissyB3(f): 9:00am On May 23, 2012
This, in my opinion, has nothing to do with neither politics nor culture, hence I moved it to the general section. I'm sorry if you do not like it here.
If the moderator of this section deems it necessary, he will move it to any of the sections you requested.

thompson1510: Seriouly, av learnt a lot 4rm wat y'all av said bt dere one thing y'all avn't mentioned. NOWADAYS, WAT D WORD 'CARIN' MEANS TO NIGERIAN GAL IS TO BE GUD In BeD. IF U GAT A LNG AND FAT DHIK, AR GUD TO GO. The best part is if u make dem feel like god in bed. Datz it!!! Dey like it rough.
Seriously, this is just another beer parlor talk, like many others on this thread from the notorious misogynists who aren't comfortable in their trousers and act like they know women more than women themselves, when in actual fact, they haven't even associated with more than 10 since birth.

Caring is caring. . .There's no sexùal, financial, whatever ''caring''. If you're caring, you're caring. . . (Naija) Women do not have different interpretations of the word.

If I had a financial problem and you showed concern, offered me a listening ear and, perhaps, proffered possible solutions,
even though you're too broke to help financially, I cannot say you're not caring - Maybe 'broke', 'not my type/class', 'stingy' - It just wouldn't make sense to say you're uncaring.
Same way, If I had a sexùal need that you couldn't meet for some reasons, and you showed understanding, made even a little effort to better the situation, It would be silly to say you're not caring . . .you hadn't what I needed - yes, but that doesn't mean you were negligent of my demand. (The use of I is generic).

Caring is caring, if you are, no one can say you are not.
FamilyRe: Who Is A Caring Man In African Definition? by MissyB3(f): 12:53pm On May 22, 2012
Does it means that Africans and Nigeria women appreciates gifts more than affection and care,ur girlfriend, wife or fiance wl regard you as a caring man wen u buy more gifts for them.
Give me affection and keep the gifts, if I can't have both.

''A LIB reader sent in these photos. She went to a very popular eatery in Lagos (name withheld by me), ordered a chicken topper salad, and inside it she found a worm. Ewwwwwww!

Her words:
I found a worm in my chicken Topper Salad and I want everyone to know this. These eateries need to start paying more attention to quality management and assurance in their processes. I called the attention of their delivery staff to it who says he will escalate to the management but I am sure they won't even react to this. I don't want anything from them but I want Nigerians to begin to exercise some caution when eating out - especially the uncooked food. I have attached the pictures, receipt and video for your viewing.. .''
