FoodRe: White Beans And Red/brown Beans. Which Is Richer? by MissyB3(mod):
Seun: The better tasting one is more likely to nourish you because you will probably eat more of it. wink
Ehn? undecided
The nourishment of a food - with regard to its richness in nutrient (which the poster is interested in)- is not determined by its taste.

Topic : After a thorough google search, I can say the red beans is more nutritious, and has more calories.
Car TalkRe: Do You Hurl Insults At Other Drivers On Nigerian Roads?? by MissyB3(f): 12:56pm On May 17, 2012
agabaI23: Italians are crazy! So do not compare wink
Heheh! Because Nigerians are not? You people top the chart.

I've never driven in Naija, I doubt I can/will. . . .At least, not in Lagos where there are too many agberos joyously breaking the rules of the road and dem go still cuss you on top, that's if they don't take your life and go scot-free. After all, where there's no law . . .crime no dey.

dadicvila: Very suprised to see even my uncle that is a pastor hurling insult at a fellow road user...it seems it cuts across all ages, gender, religion and occupation....."you no see how you dey drive like goat?very soon you go die lyk fowl"....
Rotfl! grin

Na only on Naija roads? Just overtake me, coming dangerously close or drive too slowly in front of me, the next thing you go hear is ''Cretino/a''. It happens everywhere.
FoodRe: Pumpkin Leaves by MissyB3(mod): 10:25am On May 17, 2012
Fluted pumpkin is called Ugu/Ugwu. . .Besides, everyone knows what pumpkin is, go to a local market and ask the women who sell vegetables, they should have it. It's a common commodity.

PrettyCindy: Thank you MissyB. I have printed and spiral bound my maggi cookbook. Is there another version/volume available that contains other foods like jollof rice etc?
None that I know of. I've actually thought of collaborating with someone to make one but I just haven't found the time to.
RomanceRe: Can I Still Count On Her by MissyB3(f): 4:26pm On May 16, 2012
Reuben2012: I ave buy her any present cos it is this month ending i expect her to call me and ask me abt my health at least just to call or txt how is everything cos she knows that am sick
It's okay for you expect her to call you, and it's not cool that she ''forgot''.
However, it's not enough reason to end a r/ship. I'm assuming you're very young . . .You still have a lot of dating to do as you grow and while at it, you'll realize, empirically, that there are more severe offenses. . . . Much more severe.

When he starts to gain some amount of independence; go to school, play ground, or see friends alone.
I still can't, for the life of me, understand why a 3/4-year-old kid should own a phone.

Let no one fool you, there's no cure for baldness.
I understand the feeling, but it should be less difficult for you than a woman.
You could shave your head and rock your new look with confidence. . .Hair is at the bottom of the list of things women look for in a man, truss me. smiley
Amaka! how are you doing? please I'd like to know how to prepare an igbo dish i tasted once. i really dont know how to spell it, but it sounds like ukpogede. its something made from ripe plantain and it looks like it was wrapped like moi moi. can you (or anyone else who knows it) help me with the recipe? thanks in advance. . .
obidia: If i may pls amaka am a youruba lady married to an ibo man, pleaseeee could you send me a copy of the magi cook book too so there would be variety in my meals i dont want my husband to tire quickly of my food. Email add is adun_folami@yahoo.com
While it's absolutely fine for you to ask Amaka for help, I'd like to kindly point out that Amaka hasn't been active on NL for a long while, and by directing your questions/requests to her specifically, especially on a thread like this that has nothing to do with your request (for those requesting the e-book), you personally discourage others from coming to your aid.

That said, Obidia, the e-book has been sent to you. Ti-ebe, this thread should be of help - https://www.nairaland.com/308820/pls-help-ukpo-ogede-recipe

Let's endeavor to post on the right thread so as to get a quick response.

FamilyRe: Advice: What Will You Do In This Kind Of Circumstance? by MissyB3(f): 10:00pm On May 11, 2012
odeexpress: I need advice from experienced Nairalanders on an issue bothering me.
What are the risk of leaving issues unresolved and moving on even if you get the desired response or change?
The only/major consequence of sweeping issues under the rug is that there's a possibility of the problem repeating itself. . .
but, since that is not her plight, I see no reason to be bothered.
not sure have ever prayed for nigeria b4....
Same here, until recently.

There is no telling the depth of disappointment that ran through my veins the day I was in church and someone brought up Nigeria as a prayer point in regard to the Boko Haram saga. It was just too shameful that foreigners remember my country in prayers, and I don't, even though I claim to love her a lot.
FoodRe: Types Of Low Fat Nigerian Foods by MissyB3(mod): 11:02am On May 10, 2012
Niacin (nicotinic acid) : a crystalline acid, C 6 H 5 NO 2 , that is a component of the vitamin-B complex, found in fresh meat, yeast, etc., produced by the oxidation of nicotine, and used in the prevention and treatment of pellagra.

Fe - Iron

Ca - Calcium
FoodRe: Types Of Low Fat Nigerian Foods by MissyB3(mod): 10:26am On May 10, 2012
* Consume less palm oil, as it contains lots of fat.
* You're advised to consume only/mostly goat meat ( it is 50-65% lower in fat than other red meats like beef, and it's rich in protein). If you must consume other red meat, make sure you trim off as much excess fat as possible.

The table on this page could also be of help: http://www.greenstone.org/greenstone3/nzdl?a=d&d=HASHd62922049e06a6eba70fbe.3.1.np&c=ccgi&sib=1&dt=&ec=&et=&p.a=b&p.s=ClassifierBrowse&p.sa=

Hopefully, someone else comes up with a helpful suggestion.
CelebritiesRe: Muna Disrespects Mode9 At 'Nokia Don’t Break The Beat Competition' by MissyB3(mod): 12:59pm On May 09, 2012
People over-stretch issues!
Muna had no business openly disagreeing with a judge's opinion. . . If she wanted her opinion to count, she should have taken a seat beside Mode 9 while someone else climbs the stage and presents.
On the other hand, Mode 9 should have kept quiet after his statement ''That's why I'm the judge'', there was no need prolonging the trivial issue.

These Naija celebrities need to learn how to comport themselves in public.
If they aren't found trading words with a fan on social networks, they are publicly fighting with a colleague over superiority. undecided

spicyhoney: Missyyyyyyy, why didn't u ask? Well if the person sending the money to you reside in Lagos; tell the person to go to Ecobank @seme border and use western union to send the money to you(that's if u dnt want to do the transaction through ur First bank acct) Western union is quite fast but its not done in Nigeria only @Ecobank Seme border. For ur First bank acct, if u re still having problem activating ur internet banking(which will enable u view n do some transactions on the acct), call me Monday afternoon, so I'll ask someone who works there to assist u. How's u dear?
Thanks a million, sugar. I'm yet to get in contact with FB, once I do, I'd opt for the dom acct. option as advised.
Plus, I'll ask them to put me through on internet banking. I'll ring you soon . . .Miss you loads.
