FamilyRe: How Do I Get My Late Mum Pension And Gratuity by missyojo(f): 11:53am On Aug 03, 2022
OP, are you the next of kin on her record of service? If Yes,

What you need to process her entitlement are the following: Death certificate from a govt recognised hospital, pay slips starting from the month she died and account details of next of kin.

Once you have all these, you will write application for payment of burial expenses. Go to the ministry where she worked before her death and ask for burial expenses unit. And ask for the format to address the letter as it may varies across ministry.

FamilyRe: How To Process Death Benefits In Nigeria by missyojo(f): 8:19pm On Jun 11, 2022
Sorry for the loss of your father, may God rest his soul. On this issue you have presented, the payment for burial expenses is not usually an immediate payments reason being that the file will go through different channels within the organisation he died and it's usually processed by the next of kin of the deceased. I think you people should be doing follow up to know where the file has reached, once it has gotten to accounts/treasury department the money will be paid. And once the money has been paid, the next of kin will apply for terminal benefits just the way she applied for burial expenses. And to my own understanding, we ask for letter of administration if the deceased next of kin is different from the one on the record of service.

I wish you all the best

HealthRe: High Blood Pressure Help by missyojo(f): 7:29pm On May 09, 2022
azpekuliar:
I was in your exact situation 4 months ago. I was close to a heart attack. I rejected the HBP medications I was offered by one of the doctors I saw and went for lifestyle changes suggested by another doctor. These are the changes I made;

Reduce (if possible remove) oil from your food.
Reduce (if possible remove) salt from your food.
Do away with Maggi as a spice for cooking.
Stop eating out at fast food restaurants.
Eat more fruits and vegetables.
Exercise. I exercise at least 5days/week. 45mins - 1 hour durations.
Drink lots of water at least 5 litres/daily.
No more soda drinks (Coca Cola, Malta Guiness etc). Replace them with smoothies. If you crave sugar find Banana, Pineapple etc to eat.
Remove processed meat, meat pies (e.g Sausage.. lol I miss this one o cheesy)
Buy a blood pressure monitor.

It took me 3 months to bring my HBP under control. It has now stabilized around the 130/90 region. My body weight has dropped from 98kg to 94kg. I sleep very well now without any need for medications and the palpitations are gone.

One of the most frustrating symptoms was that inability to sleep, I wanted to run mad :
I used to be in the OP's situation too. Mine started when I newly moved into a new apartment and my next door neighbor won't allow me sleep at night once he and his gf start making love. It was so serious that my BP was so high, Dr gave me medications to control the BP, then I started having palpitations too.

Infact I have to involve our landlord who spoke to him and still he refused. I have been taking BP drug's since October that I moved in there because of inability to sleep. Infact because of that I have to file for leave in my work place and stay with my folks for now and I sleep normal. The last time I checked my BP was last month and it read 100/65

Dr advised me to reduce my salt intake eat more of vegetables and fruits, reduce oil, do away with junk food. Thou I haven't stayed away totally from cakes and pastries because that's what I specialise in but have reduced it anyway.

I went to the hospital to see a cardiologist and my BP was checked, it was 90 something over 60, it was so low. The cardi asked me to stop taking the BP medications as I was on Amlodipine, Propranolol and lisinopril. Only Propranolol because of the palpitations for now.
Thou I don't use to have the palpitations frequently again as it's getting to normalize. I joined one Big hospital in Abuja for their health walk every last Saturday of the month and I couldn't believe that I could walk for long due to the palpitations.

And again I don't let things bother me again. But Omo....... I spent money as all my salary was spent practically on my health.
FamilyRe: The Father Of My 2 Kids Took Them Away From Me Unlawfully, Deceitfully by missyojo(f): 5:08pm On Apr 25, 2022
Having read all the comments from page 1-7 here's what I have to say.
Poster, you have done a grave mistake of your life by co-habiting with a man that hasn't paid your bride price and who even doubles as your father. It's VERY VERY WRONG.

Didn't your parents/uncle's/aunty's/friends talked you out when you were living with the manhuh Prolly they did you didn't listen because you were beclouded with all the goodies you were enjoying back then.

Be that as it may, firstly accept all the bashes/insults you will see on your post. Filter the good advice and let it be your action points.

You will have to go back to your family and beg them to forgive you by not listening to them that's if paragraph 2 in my comment took place, because you need them now. Your family are your pillars now.

Kindly go to FIDA in your state of residence and lay your complaints to them, I'm sure they will help you or better still if you can come to Abuja and go to brekete radio (Human Rights Radio and Television).

I know you have made the worst mistake of your life and regretting bitterly now. I won't judge you because I'm ain't God. I wish you the very best in your pursuit and please let us know how it's going.

Cheers!!!!
