Hardy123: Mexican food has gotten my taste buds wanting more during my last trip to Mexico. Will like to try it out here in Nigeria. The Chalaquies, tostada's, pozole, and many other cuisines I tried was out of this world. I will like to replicate same here in Abuja thru the help of YouTube of course. Where can I get the ingredients to cook the meal here myself in Abuja. The basic ingredients are readily available but some others are not. If i could get a chef I will pay to cook for me, even better. Awaiting your response foodies. You can go to all these big malls/supermarkets the likes of H-Medix, Spar, Sahad stores, ShopRite etc And talking about needing a chef, if you are on Instagram you can search for ReddishChronicles and send them a DM as regards your request. |

rickleye: My advice buy speaker and blast music. I am yet to find someone who is in the mood listening to " Holy Ghost Fire, Fire Fall on me
At the bolded, my neighbor whenever him and the GF wants to copulate. They play Gospel songs oo, the likes of Mercy Chinwo and I will be wondering if they have no conscience at all. Imagine playing God's song to copulate?? Some people don't send at all " The girls would stop coming saying, their spirit isn't in the mood. In fact, the brother would be one complaining.
But what's going to happen when you single people start dating to get married ? How do you know you won't be as loud as your neighbour ? |

Goddeywithme: This is really sad. I am sorry for what you are going tru
Thank you
Ur solutions will work if u can sleep with music. I can only sleep with very low volume slow music. So it won't work for me. I would do something drastic. What's going through my mind is finding when they do sleep, and blaring music through a horn speaker
I must find what disturbs them and do that Yes, I will still get the speaker. Since they say I won't sleep, they too won't sleep. All of us will be madder together |

udofia234: Thank you my sis! you are really in the same shoes as I am, may be I'll put my music on a loud volume so I can sleep. Yes, what you will do is that. Since you know that he brings in girl's to sleep with every day, you would have started playing your music that you won't even know when you will fall asleep. By doing that he would have gotten the Memo and any neighbor that meets you that you are disturbing them, tell the person to go and meet him. Simple as ABC I detest people that aren't considerate which is not fair |

RedpillAnalyst: Nobody understands the trauma the poster is going through.
The worst feeling in this life is when a girl is moaning and not in your room.
I almost failed a very expensive professional exam when my then roommate brought a Zimbabwean girl that screams and moans when the vawulence was going on.
I had resigned to faith that I would have to write the exams again, but for divine grace and favour I passed. Honestly you are very correct, they don't understand what the Op is going through at all. Infact that's what I'm facing right now. Where I live is just 2 rooms on the compound, myself and the next door neighbor. Initially when I moved in there Last year I started hearing moaning from the girl, she lives with her bf. Each time the guy comes back from work they will start oo till day break. It affected me that once they start I won't be able to sleep again, my BP started going up and I resorted to taking BP medication. Imagine a young lady like me already taking BP drugs. I complained to my colleagues at work and they told me to call the lady aside as per woman to woman and tell her about it prolly she doesn't know her moaning is loud. This January when I came back from Yuletide, I called the lady aside and pleaded with her that this is my condition ( taking BP drugs) that she should please try and reduce her moaning while in the act. She promised to reduce, she did that for 2 days oo. The 3rd day I started hearing moaning from her again. I couldn't take it again, I reported them to their tribal man that lives opposite our house. The man an elderly man promised to talk to them. He did but still the moaning didn't subside. I have no choice than to report them to the landlord. Landlord talked to them on 2 different occasions but still same thing. Infact when landlord spoke to them, they stopped greeting me and the landlord too and I don't care. One day, the girl was outside with some of our neighbors including the baba I reported them to earlier. I told my neighbors that they should please help me beg the girl and his bf to allow me sleep at night. I'm not saying they shouldn't get intimate oo but please reduce your voice. The neighbors told me that they are in their room and have right to do anything they wish. I said okay, no wahala what I'm pleading for is that they should reduce their volume. I was using ear pierce whenever they start so I won't hear but it was beginning to affect me so I stopped. The girl has gone back to school for her HND, what the guy does now is to bring in different girls that he sleeps with and the different girls still moans loud like the GF. What I do now before going to bed is to play music and put it on the highest volume so I won't be hearing their rubbish. Will get a Bluetooth speaker and put it close to the wall so I won't be hearing them rather than using my phone to play music every night. Till now me and them aren't in taking terms and I like it that way. The money I'm supposed to use do something else is what I'm spending on my health. I can totally relate with what the Op is complaining of because I'm currently in his shoes |

Taofiq2005: You can get a xiaomi redmi note 9(it was released in 2019), if you prefer tecno then choose spark 7, if you want a samsung then choose galaxy s7 edge(released in 2016 It camera is better than iphone 7's camera, it have a powerful processor and 4gb of ram) or galaxy a30(released 2019), if you want iphone then choose iphone 6s plus(released 2015). If you want a newer model(released in 2021 and 2022) then you might end up spending more (since the price of phones are going higher) Please do you know anything about the Tecno Pro? |

StrafordSTONES: I would have said women are like that but then I know alot of ladies who love to hangout and are constantly exploring the fun spots. You have to understand some people naturally love to stay indoors and there are people who are fun loving and outgoing; these set of people go out and explore. For you to discover any city, you have to come out, you can't stay in your house and think up the fun spots...I am taking a wild guess that you stay in the Lugbe, kuje axis...try and go out once in a while; visit jabi lake park, go to.jabi lake mall, go bawling @dooms, alotta lounges in wuse, clubs too....you have to step out or find friends maybe in your office who are fun loving and outgoing too.
You are absolutely right. I am an indoor person, Once I come back from work I remain indoors except something is taking me outside. We enjoy electricity in my area, next thing is to watch TV
I even find it difficult visiting friends and relatives . I have been hearing of jabi lake infact I will go there and see how the place looks like. |

For nature park, checkout vitality park also known as central park , then magicland, and most importantly National Children park and zoo asokoro ( Asokoro has more sight Vis wild animals, large space with green area) Chaii!! I don't know Abuja at all, I need to be going out. But then again the fear of entering one chance operator's Those evil people have collected my phone twice when I was still a J.J.C |

richmondefosa: Permit me to add that we've met a few security checkpoints manned by men of the Nigerian Police and the Nigerian Army.
The Nigerian army personnels were stern looking but nice guys. Cracked a few jokes for us. May I also add that they were smartly dressed and neat. I told one 'esprit de corps'. He asked which and I told him I'm not a force man but my dad and uncle were forcemen. I told him Major general**** was my uncle. You needed to see how his face lightened up. I also told him my dad's rank in the Nigerian Navy and the guy gave me a handshake.
God bless the Nigerian military. They're not perfect but they give their all to see us safe.
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for men of the Nigerian Police force. Shabby looking men who were asking us for money.
I told one of them to dress properly and tuck in. He responded and said "your mama".
I looked at him straight in the eyes, called his rank and name. I said "sargeant bawa, what did you just say?" He froze and apologized.
Experience has taught me that When you call a service man by his rank and add his name, he behaves himself. Probably because he thinks you're a force man with a higher rank or you probably know his superior. This is a wild guess but it always always works for me. This part got me laughing |

richmondefosa: So we had an accident immediately after my last post.
A trailer stayed in the centre of the road. After honking several times, he didn't budge so we decided to overtake.
While overtaking, we were honking. More than half of our vehicle has passed, the trailer driver swerved towards us and hit us. The hit damaged a small part of our bumper.
Both drivers parked to assess the damage. Trailer driver is saying we're the ones that hit him. We're insisting that he's the one that hit us.
On careful observation, the driver doesn't even have a side mirror so he didn't see us coming before he swerved towards us.
Trailer driver is asking to pay 15k for damage. Our driver is angry. He called panel beater and panel beater is saying 40k.
They're here arguing. I'm snapping pictures for you guys.
Am i bothered? No. Ohhhh!! Ohhhh So sorry about that. Where did this happened? And where are you guys now? Stay safe please |

richmondefosa: We have moved o. The driver did not go through Lagos-Ibadan route. He said the road is terrible at some point.
He faced Benin -Ore road and said he'll climb the bridge at Ore and connect towards Owo. Who am I to argue with driver wey Sabi road pass me.
Oya see pictures.
I'm impressed with the driver. A young family and easy going guy. The road is free. He said it's because it's Monday and people aren't going to the East.
We're doing 130/140 km/h
So far, everything is fine. The AC made the car temperature go up so he turned the AC off.
As at the time of typing this, were at Ore heading towards Akure. We left Lagos late. The driver is good.
We're 4 young men and 3 ladies in the car. Two of the ladies are with 3 kids.
The moment we hit the road, they all slept off. Na me and driver dey gist. nice guy I must admit How much is the the fare from Lagos to Abuja? |

Op, are you the next of kin? If yes, then you need to go with these documents. Death certificate from a govt recognised hospital, payslips, then you will write an application for payment of burial expenses.
Once you write an application for payment of burial expenses, you will add the supporting documents like payslips and death certificate together with your application.
Once the burial expenses has been paid, you will write another application for payment of terminal benefits just the same way you applied for the burial expenses. This is how it's been done in my work place, I don't know if it cuts across all govt establishments.
Better still go to the office he was working before he died and ask how you will go about it. I'm sure you will find the answers you need there.
I wish you best wishes!! |

It is an average salary to get by for a young graduate who's looking at starting out professionally.
They're many people who live on 12k salary in the north.
Many of our parents don't or didn't even earn that much but saw us through school.

richmondefosa: I'm so much in love with this thread. I wish you safe journey @Onlinefarmstore.
I'm an avid traveler but it's been so long I travelled due to the nature of my job that has kept me in Lagos. I prefer road travelling because it's fun and educating. The thrills of meeting new people, learning about routes, eating road side food with the locals. Omo. Nothing beats it.
That said, I will be taking my leave from work this month and I'll be hitting the road immediately.
From Lagos, I'll enter Benin. Spend a day or two then hit Abuja. Spend 2 weeks then hit the road again back to Lagos. I've never done Abuja to Lagos by road and I'm looking forward to the trip.
I can afford going by Air but what's the fun there? 45 - 50 minutes max and I'm back on ground. Insecurity or not, many of us find purpose traveling by road.
I'll document my journey here on nairaland. I look forward reading your post on Nl. Please mention me once you start the thread. Thank you |
