Our judiciary is a PRO_PDP. It is an extremely corrupt institution. More elected officials have defected to the PDP since 1999 than to APC & none of them lost their seats. If we don't KILL THE JUDICIARY, THE JUDICIARY WOULD KILL NIGERIA. THE JUDICIARY IS MORE CORRUPT THAN PDP DESPITE IT BEING AN EXTENSION OF THE PDP ARM. Our Constitution needs an overhaul. Make it clear if so that what applies to party A must apply to party B. Period. Enough of all these PRO_PDP TENDENCIES.

There is no provision in the constitution of Nigeria that says any governor who defects to other party loses his position.

As at the time Umahi defected, PDP were in crisis over its former National chairman Uche Sevondus.

The position of the is that it is illegal for an elected officer to defect from a party if there are no internal issues or crisis in the party that warrants defection. It's on this grounds that the judge based his judgment.
