Beautiful explanation my brother!! 1000 likes for this post!! Most people think salvation is only making it to heaven, it's more than that, Lord Jesus wants us to enjoy eternal life here and now in this world.... Most Christians are still working to appear righteous before God with their own effort not trusting fully on the finished work of Christ on the Cross. All those kinda works will be burned at the Bema Seat of Christ cos all of them are dead works ..... We don't perform good works to get us saved, no.... We perform good works because we are already saved. It's a response to what Christ did for us....

Continue to grow in grace bro... Am soooooo soooooo happy for you!!

Hebrews 10:26
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins

We are all born as sinners. The sacrifice of Jesus has paid for that. Although we can not fully measure up to God's standards, we need to try our best. Do not expect to be wallowing in sin and have the thinking that grace covers all things
What exactly is God's standard? Please brother, try your best to read the whole Chapter 10, even better, the whole Book of Hebrews.

ComputersRe: Useful Tips To Consider Before Buying A Second-hand Laptop by MizyB(f): 6:54pm On Apr 13, 2018
udemzyudex:
It will be very hard to detect, just mk sure you're buying from a good seller and not from road side, most times you will know its a stolen laptop if price is just too cheap.

Always ask for receipt, you do a little search about the company on CAC if it registered and make sure the serial number on the reciept is same with the one the laptop.
thank u very much sir. You've been very helpful
ComputersRe: Useful Tips To Consider Before Buying A Second-hand Laptop by MizyB(f): 8:00pm On Apr 12, 2018
udemzyudex:
1. Take a look at the carcass, make sure there is no broken part and the body is okay.

2. Hold the top and bend it a little as if you want to close the laptop, this will allow you to notice if the hinges is broken or not screwed well. Also when u do it that way, it will allow you to notice if the screen flickers, which means the signal cable might be bad or the screen. Request for a change.

3. Check the screw holes to see if the laptop has been repaired, if it has been tampered with you will definitely see screw driver marks or different screw size or color.
Note: some engineers can open a laptop without you even noticing any sign.

4. Open the laptop and make the top carcass stand vertically, stand close to it and see if the screen is okay.
There are some bad screen you won't notice if you're just looking at it at the front, unless you take a closer look.

Look out for any white or black spot.

5. Open notepad to test the keyboard, make sure all the keys are working (you might not be able to check all the function keys if they are working if vga is not driven.)

From the letters to numbers, shift, arrow keys for left, right, down and up to tab keys, check them out. If one key is not working, then ask for change.

6. Check the speaker, play music with laptop and make sure no cracking sound is heard, check WiFi, connect your phone to see if it working.

7. Check camera, if the laptop have cam check it and make sure it is working well, check all USB ports.

I'll advice you use external keyboard, external USB mouse or USB flash to check all the USB ports to confirm they are working well.

Some faulty USB port will charge your phone but won't detect the phone, so don't use your phone to check.

8. Check dvd rom, insert a good disc and see how fast it loads, if it takes longer time or doesn't load ask for a change. (unless laptop doesn't come with one)

9. Some times the only way to test if the hdd is good is how fast the operating system take to load, since most engineers don't install the software to check hdd health.
Just make sure it is not taking forever to boot into desktop.

10. Check the battery, make sure it is charging, and the ba3 indicator is plug in charging, allow the battery to increase (charge) then remove the charger and play music or video with it, see how quickly it reduce.

If it reduce quickly, then the battery is bad.

11. Ask for original charger, original charger cable are always thick and body look dull (not shiny)

New charger looks shiny, kinda light and cable is not that thick.

Some laptop develops fault due to bad charger, so ask for original charger and if the engineer doesn't have, you can negotiate with him to remove the amount from the price so you get one yourself.

I didn't talk about the ram, processor and hdd size here, cos I believe you already know what you want to buy and how many ram size you need.
They also determine the price too, you can negotiate.

It's advice able you read reviews concerning a particular laptop you want to buy, some problems are specific to a particular laptop, though it still depends on how you use it. Reading reviews will make you decide better.

Cc: MizyB
Wow! Comprehensive! Thanks for the hard work sir.

udemzyudex:
I don't know oo, anyway I won't say it's a bad idea to buy used laptop, even a new laptop can develop fault the very first week you purchase it.

Just buy from a trusted seller and always ask for warranty. Most seller will give you 1month warranty, it doesn't mean they will refund your money back if anything should happen. Trust naija sellers naa, instead they will change the laptop for you or tell u to add a little money and take another one.

If you know how to check a used laptop before buying, it will save you a lot of stress even if you're buying for the first time.

Like I said earlier, the op didn't go deep, just some shallow point. In fact one can take up to 3-4hrs or even more to test a laptop before buying.
Kindly drop a few tips for those that do not know how to check used laptops before buying.

Hello People of God,

Wow! It’s amazing that after all we’ve been through, we’re still standing strong. After all the trials, hardships, and difficulties, we’re still pouring out our hearts to God thanking Him for all He has done.

When I think back, I like to count my blessings and appreciate God’s works in my life. I know there have been hard times, but come to think about it, the good outweighs the bad a million times.
As a matter of fact, the so called bad times isn’t really ‘bad’, but a test of my faith and spiritual maturity in God.

We’re celebrating Jesus Christ this season, even though we ought to celebrate Him every day of our lives. Well, let’s give Jesus our all for He is wonderful and marvellous and He has been so gracious to us. His Name is not an ordinary name, it’s a Name that’s full of power, grace and love. You can see it everywhere in the Bible and in people’s lives.

I remember when I was about 8 years old, my family used to worship very far away in a church at Ajah, Lagos, far along Victoria Island. It’s a massive church with huge acres of space and thousands of members. It’s really massive.

One day after church, we (my family) were on our way back home. My dad was driving at full speed on the express road, all of a sudden the car developed some fault and my dad could not gain control of the steering wheel. No matter how he tried to turn the wheel, left or right, the car didn’t budge. It now dawned on us that we were headed for a terrible car accident which could cost us our lives.

Hmm… We began to panic shocked. I and my brothers and sisters were scared, we were confused huh. My dad kept fumbling with the wheels, we were still going at a high speed. All of a sudden, my mom said out loud ‘Jesus please take control’, with fear and pain in her voice. To our amazement, the car drove itself and stopped right in front of a mechanic’s workshop, parked on a pavement away from the express road. The funny thing is, I remember clearly, my dad turned the steering wheel right, but the car went left and parked on that pavement facing a mechanic’s workshop.

We all stared at each other with surprised looks on our faces that said ‘Whaaat, Oh my God’ shocked. Lol. We were in utter disbelief. We were bewildered. We were dumbfounded.

We were baby Christians at this time, and were just coming to know who Jesus Christ really was at this time. So this was too unnatural for us.

When we got down from the car, the mechanic guy told my dad that it’s not just possible for us to be alive, he said that this was meant to be a bloody accident, because some vital part of the car was severely damaged, the brakes gave out etc. I was very little then, so I didn’t understand all he said.

We later started to wonder, but mechanic guys don’t open on Sundays, what was this guy doing here at about 2pm on a Sunday? Were we just lucky or was that God at work? Well, the mechanic guy told us he was about to even close his shop before he saw our car park in front of him. So I say, that was the finger of God
. Coincides don’t occur. It’s either it’s orchestrated by God, Satan/demons, or a person.

After this incident, we came to understand that the Name of Jesus is indeed powerful, and it is the Name above every other name. The book of Philippians 2:9-10 shows us that God elevated Jesus to the highest place and gave Him the Name that is above every other Name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, whether in heaven or on earth or under the earth (hell).

Wow!
So this means that even ‘car accidents’ that might want to occur can be cancelled when we call on the Name of Jesus, just like my mom did. So it means that even if you’re a lady and faced with rape, when you call on Jesus, you can be saved. When you’re faced with spiritual attacks at night, why not call on Jesus?

When you face any difficult situation that feels too much for you, just call on Jesus and see what happens. You will be amazed. Only have a little faith in your heart that He will help you. There is power in the Name of Jesus. smiley

This Christmas, as we celebrate this joyous moment of Jesus Christ in our lives, let us remember the good things He has done for us and be thankful. If you feel He hasn’t done enough for you, think about the many times when you’ve escaped death. Think of the many times you’ve found a way out of troubles and difficulties. They don’t just happen like that. They are Jesus-influenced.

God has been with you, with us. For every time you want to complain to God, think of the many things He has done for you. Write it down and you’ll see that He has done so much. Thank Jesus. Celebrate Him and honour Him as you eat your rice and chicken. grin

May God bless you all in the Name of Jesus. May your lives breathe and smell of the rich fragrance of Jesus in your lives. May He visit your homes this season as you honour Him and turn everything new. New Blessings. New Wealth. New Jobs. New Promotion. New Financial levels. New grace. New Mercies. The peace of God be with you all, and may the joy that comes with His presence abide you forever more and… May the blessings and steadfast love of Jesus be new every morning in your lives in Jesus Name. Amen.

Have a Merry Christmas celebration!!! cheesy
I Just had another powerful experience with this GREAT name of JESUS just yesterday the 25th.
Walking down this lonely road, This guy whom had appeared out of nowhere and exchanged greetings with me, was just going to sexually assault me. I screamed the name twice and just as suddenly as he attacked me, left me on the ground right there, and started to run like he was being pursued.

Still trying to wrap my head around the whole incident. I'm in awe of what mighty power the name JESUS wields.
Glory to God through Christ now and forever.

No it does not contradict nor does it not imply that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. Jesus Christ is the final Judge (Jn 5:22) and will judge the living and the dead but if someone knows and hears nothing about Jesus Christ and the law and dies. S/he would be judged according to works with his/her conscience excusing or accusing them in judgement.(See Acts 2) The conscience is everyone is God-given and according to nature either follow the law. God loves righteousness and all who seek righteousness. The Ninevites were declared righteous, Cornelius alms and prayers went to God (Acts 10) and he eventually got baptised...

Good evening sister. smiley

JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO THE FATHER!

That is evident throughout the Bible. But did you know that GOD the Son was never known as "Jesus" in the OT? Gabriel was the one who first proclaimed the Name "Jesus."

GOD the Son in the OT was known as the Seed, Redeemer, Son, Emmanuel.

All the OT saints, through obedience to GOD(which Christ requires: Matt. 7:21), and through sacrificial killings, exercised faith in the Great Substitute that was to come. They had an idea that the slaughter of lambs for the remission of sins signified that a Person would be sacrificed for their sins. Thus, through practicing sacrifices, they identified with Christ's great Sacrifice, and thus went to the Father through Christ.

Even a Person comes to Christ, He commands him to obey(Matt. 19:17). Those who obey then are saved.
I appreciate this, thank U brother.

Jesus the Lamb of God slain from the foundations of the world. I noticed how God showed forgiveness to mankind, after the burnt offerings of Noah. Gen8:21-22

Romans 3:25 FOR GOD PRESENTED JESUS AS THE SACRIFICE FOR SIN. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past.

Is it that you lack understanding or what? The verse you quoted talks about Creation being a testimony to all men that there is a GOD who created.

Many people have never heard of Christ. Many never heard of Christ. But by their nature, they did those things which are contained in the law of GOD. They knew it was not good to kill, steal, cheat, lie, fornicate, and they did not do those things. What now is their position since they never came to know Jesus, and had no way of knowing Him? Are they lost?

Even reason will answer you.
Boss, reason says they aren't lost. But will that not imply that Jesus is not the only way to the father?

Am I missing something?
Christianity EtcRe: Is This The True Consequence Of Not Giving Offering In Church? by MizyB(f): 11:40pm On Oct 02, 2016
Johnrake69:
Is it even necessary to give someone money for offering? If the person doesn't earn money, I see no reason for it. We are just too religious while our faith is less than an inch deep.

The said uncle is just too religious. What stops him from placing the op on a monthly allowance and make the op understand that from the allowance he should always take out his offering?

Many of us condemning the op are just part of the problem. Let me ask what do churches use our offering for?
1. Engage in never ending church building projects when more than half of their members are homeless.

2. Maintain the lavish lifestyle of the G.O. many of the G.O have personal houses in almost all the states in Nigeria. Etc

Now, not to talk of the politics in the church. I once worshipped in a local assembly where 85% of the tithe and offering from the branch is remitted to the regional quarters. So the local assembly retains just 15% meanwhile my hope was that some of that money should be used to take care of the very poor among us in the local assembly. Churches operate a cutthroat capitalist system where the local assembly are made to starve just so that the head quarters can overfloor. The system of exploitation we complain of in our economy is strongly rooted in our churches today.

What is true religion? James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their misfortune and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

Clearly, our churches have lost focus. It's all about church building projects that is unending. I believe in other to re-position the church to be Christ like who was selfless, we the members have to speak up to address some of these issues.

If the Christ was alive today, he would definitely had commanded that some church building should be converted to residential building in order to house the homeless.
well said brother..
