Please go for nursing, I repeat go for nursing. You can't go wrong studying nursing because as soon as you are done, you can register with the nursing board and you will get a job even if you need sponsorship. Vacancies in healthcare are endless. IT jobs are highly competitive and more so you need to find a sponsor. Just finished my msc in cybersecurity, no hope of finding a tier 2 sponsor. If I could start the process all over, I will go for nursing.

Thanks alot @Mizzfy. Yes we had it in Belfast. It was a quick one, we were scheduled for 9:45 and we left the consulate before 11. I wish you the very best just be composed and as truthful as you can. Make sure you go with a letter from your uni. That was the second document after our passport the lady in charge of documentation requested for.

I don't think you can make September.

There are 2 intakes September or January but you will have to confirm from your school.

He told me 2 years, I want to assume that is 18 (duration of course) + 4 = 22 months. I could ask him for the end date if you want to know.

The normal process is the course end date written on your CAS + 4 months (normal schools) or 6 months for schools under the pilot scheme.

Affordable is relative.

A student saying he wants to pay fees of £9000 for MSc could be (just maybe) he/she was given discount or scholarships. It is very difficult (not impossible) to get post graduate studies in UK for £9000 without scholarships and discounts. However, read below

A student in Coventry called me 2 months ago to help with his form and I was shocked when he told me he would be going to a school called Newcastle college and the school fees for international student was £8,975 or there about (Less than £9000).
The program is MA business management, 18 months program with optional 6 months work placement (June intake). If someone had told me one could get a school less than £9000 for 1 year in Uk for post graduate studies without scholarship or discount, I would have argued. so imagine full 18 months for just £8,975? You can check the school out.

I must be honest, I don't really like the school but hey that is what he could afford. Also he got 2 years visa which gives him lots of options on how he could stay in the UK afterwards or move out to another country. If you ask me, it was a strategic move for him as a hustler.


He got his BRP about 3 or 4 weeks ago and he has started attending lectures.

Hi OlowoB, does his 2 years visa include the extra 4 months given? Or just for for study? My course is about 20 months.

UK used to be the number one destination for students. Lets hope they fix the whole post study thingy. Because most people will not want to return home just like that after school, especially if you don’t have a job waiting for you here or after experiencing life in the UK. Who wants to return to a country that is not working. Fingers crossed on post study.

Someone can actually help you fill the form and sign. The money will be debited from the persons account. You can scan all your documents, just ensure they are very clear. Bear in mind that the rate is most likely not going to be cbn rate. I paid with First Bank and there was no difference between the cbn rate and black market rate. I also enquired from Zenith, no difference as well.

Pay for IHS and visa fee before you register on TLS and pay for priority and any other service you like.

I don't think there's so much to it. I know you have to pay on the TLS website, Lagos or Abuja. It's an online payment of £212. You still have to pay the normal visa application fee. Priority service is an added value service. You should have a receipt after payment. Go to TLScontact you will get more info about it.

4) tier 4 dependants are allowed to work full time.

5)you will get but don't expect it to be cheap. You can also get a child minder for your baby.

My relative had the same experience last year. She was asked to travel to her home country to apply. She came to 9ja, filled her forms, booked her appointment and paid for supper priority. She wasn't interviewed. I think there's a part on the form were you will asked where you are applying from. To be on the safe side i think it's better to do everything here in 9ja.

My school asked me to send my statement of acct for review before they issue my CAS. What i sent was rejected because they said the funds had only been in the acct for one day, which is correct. They asked that i send another statement when it gets to 28 days. Please is this normal with other universities?

28 days. Go through the tier 4 guidance policy on the ukvi website. Many questions are answered on there.

From my own understanding, a TB certificate is a TB certificate wether for work or tier 4 (well I don’t think the home office differentiates it).

The certificate is valid for 6 months...... so you are in the best position to know if it would have expired by September.
